It is still being built and waiting on the Lamb that is coming soon and every eye will see him in the clouds come Jesus even so come Jesus even so come Jesus Amen
Gary Shepherd is my distant cousin and I remember as boys we were all a fun group of comical kids. Gary has been true to the words of Jersus: To enter the kingdom of god you must be like one these little ones. Heart of a Child. Amen.
Gary Shepard is one of my cousins as a kid we would go to the summer revivals and sing he is the best tenor I have ever sang with he is now touring again if you haven't heard him sing I suggest that you go hear him if he comes to your area .
What can I say? The two tenors, Brian Free & Garry Sheppard stole the show!!! I like Brian Free's voice better, though. He's the King of tenors!!! Even has his own group...need I say more?
They are good and I am not in any way going to deny that but Johnny Cook does this so well along with Vestal. Johnny really makes that recording because there was not a better tenor in Southern Gospel Music
I have spent the day searching u tube and listening to quartet tenors to include the below names. They were good and some very good but they just couldn't stand up to Garry Sheppard. He hits the highest notes and not for just a few seconds; he actually hits them and stays there - unbelievable. First, let me say these Godly voices shouldn't be a competition because they all sing for God's glory but one does stand out and that is Garry Sheppard.
Brian Free totally the best tenor. There's a video where he sings this song with his group Assurance. He can hit the high notes easily. Of course, Johnny Cook was fantastic and could hit the notes too.
I totally disagree with these folks. There are not many tenors who can hit the notes Garry can. Let's give credit where it belongs. You may not care for his sound but he can hit high notes that the rest of them only dream of singing! Great job Garry. You're at the top in my book.
I have two looking for a city performance track both raise the keys just like this and by the 5th and 6th key changes I sound just like Gary. The people at the senior centers think it's hilarious. I actually brought helium with me one time so I can sing the very last key change. Fun times.
No one sings this song like Vestal Goodman!

As much as I loved Gary Shepherd growing up, I have to say Brian Free is totally one of the best (if not THE best) tenor ever!
I love LOVE LOVE this song. When I was 3 I would sing this all the way to church and I wouldn't left them change it.
I think that Johnny Cook was the best tenor ever!
Search for him... The competition between Johnny and Vestal Goodman is EPIC!
Johnny was great. David Phelps is the best tenor ever though, IMO.
Have to agree with you there Johnny Cook was the best!
Still love Garry - known him and the rest for years - Sure would like to see him again...
the facial expressions on this song are always priceless
Nobody can sing it like Vestal but this was great!

The singing is great, and Anthony Burger's piano playing (especially starting at 1:48) is outstanding.
johny cook and vestal goodman do this song like no others

He's veasily the best tenor in this video, and he's also the most awarded tenor in all of Southern Gospel Music!
MAN!!! I love playing this on the Peavey Foundation bass. I miss this style of music!

Johnny Cook, Jay Parrack are the best ever in my opinion
Great music and hymns
Best God City group, best Kingsman group! Gary was my friend!!!
I love it just my best song singing
Brian Free is totaly the king.
Håvard Nilsen no
Brian Free can sing sopranao LOL. He's a great singer, nice guy too.
Love Brian Free
WOW!!! The Soprano sings without breaking a swet. FANTASTIC. :-O :-D Should only wish Vestal Goodman joined in there....
Love these guys.
Gary Shepherd is a Beast
praise GOD

Josh Horrell killed his part!!
nostalgia
Jay Parrack best GC tenor ever.
gloria taylor I liked his Daddy .
I like Johnny Parrick too! He makes his own high notes!
I think Johnny Parrack, former Kingsmen tenor, could sing higher than both of those put together.
I like Jay parrack also
U know who johnny parrack is. That is jay's daddy
Yes that's awesome father and son tenor
I like Brian Free but the other tenor with him I think sounds like singing through nose a little much. Johnny, Jay and Brian doesn't sound like that.
Have you ever heard them sing together on a song called Glory Road with Gold City Reunion
This reminds me of The Goodman's video
AWESOME!!!!!! LOL
Is Brian wearing eye makeup?
Brian free quando era mais novo...
Gary Sheppard is the best
Couldn't find a few more microphones??
OMG, Jesus is spinning in his grave!......no...wait...
Hinde kids alam
.
No covid years
As much as I admire high tenor singers, I can't stand Gary Shepherd's voice. He always sounds like he inhaled a bunch of helium before he sings.
I've heard from a lot of people he does that on purpose, makes him stick out I guess... but I'm more of a Danny Funderburk and Ernie Haas kind of guy.
I'm not a fan of the light haired tenor.
Rockabilly piety--Jesus is turning over in his grave....oops, never mind!
Gary Sheppard has a more distinct voice. Brians voice is boring.
The most awarded tenor in Southern Gospel music...boring? Come on, give me and Brian Free a break!
I think both are great.
I disagree bigly Brian’s voice is 1000000 times better gray Sheppard sound terrible
god tier boring@@ronaldshank7589
