Everybody, I have an update (funny one) about my 1st kinetotherapy sessions. If you smile reading it, you have to subscribe :P
    Kinetotherapy update 1 :
In the 1st round of electrotherapy I learned to twerk. Got some pretty intensive shocks in the "lower" area of my back (if you know what I mean 😈) and it felt good 🤣 . Read it as in the pain lowered.
In the 2nd round of electrotherapy , my muscles were stimulated so I learned that I can "work" my muscles and sleep at the same time. Literraly fell asleep on the table while being "electrocuted" 🤣
Vibro-massage - This was godly. Especially the muscles there were tight trying to compensate my pain.

After this 3 interventions I got bandaged up (kinesio tape)
Felt pretty good. The pain went down a lot after this first session of "interventions"
Went into exercises after. Stretching mainly. First exercise I got to make a whole leg stretch. Seemed easy. Went into my max flexibility. The therapist said : "STOP! You're crazy... start from very small stretch then move deeper". You see where the "crazy awesome dancers" comes from.
After 6 exercises.... I can walk better, bend a little without pain. Still hurts badly between sitting and standing, and switching positions. But I can walk a little bit better.
Can't wait for round 2 (Tomorrow / Wednesday)

I have an idea of what you are going through, as I recently had the need to attend kinetotherapy sessions due to neck, shoulders and arms problems. My therapist almost went crazy on me due the way I performed the prescribed exercises.
It seems me that dancers, even not being awsome, are a little bit crazy.
I hope you get well soon!
Meanwhile, more combos on tricky hands would be extremely appreciated!
      Strong hug.

I herniated my L4-L5 disc when I was 31 or 32 (I have a similar body type as you and was in good shape)- couldn't stand up straight for 6 months and could literally stretch maybe an inch when trying to touch my toes (my PT laughed at me). After about a year I was able to go back to the gym and basically live a normal life (just being careful with certain movements), though will never be able to deadlift or squat with a bar on my back. With bachata (now 5 years later) I can do everything except leading lateral body rolls is a little weak on one side. My point is you can/will get better! From the sounds of it your flexibility and dance conditioning has you in a much better place than my very inflexible self was at the time. Good luck with the rehab, and really appreciate what you and Elena do here! Oh yes, lacrosse ball massage on the lower back muscles is a staple now with those muscles compensating to protect the injury. This was just from my experience. Wishing you well!

@@RD___830 thank you fpr sharing your experience. I am optimistic that I will get back slowly to a normal as well.
Right now except, sitting is the worst part. But my therapisy said that it will be better in time.
      Thank you for caring 😇🥰

I'm so sorry you're in pain and are temporarily limited in dancing! Did it happen because of dance? If so, maybe you can create a future video on what to avoid when dancing to prevent injury?? Get well soon! Love you two soo much!

    • @MariusElenaBachata
      @MariusElenaBachata  3 года назад +4

The reason was a multitude of things : apparently lack of muscles in the lower back (I thought I am very fit... apparently not) , a straight lombar spine (I didn't had the normal curvature, probably from a bad posture sitting) , lots of acrobatics (for shows), lots of spins (torsion is not good), lots of sitting (driving for 10-15 hours at a time), lots of dips (in social), etc :P
Hopefully when I finish kineto, I will be back at least to a 90% :P
Already did the 2nd session and overall is much better.
      Thank you for caring.

Can you prepare a choreography with only basic moves and simply combos?
I'm very curious how it's be look like, when advanced dancers use only beginners moves.
Greetings from Poland ;) I love this channel

If you are referring on turning your follower on 2 counts (faster) you need to give a faster impulse and have a little bit more tension in your leading.
