    It's a bigger shame that the NYSDEC didn't push harder for Atlantic Salmon when they were considering various Pacific species. Atlantics are (were) native to Lake Ontario and are repeat spawners. They're harder to work for hatcheries, but far better for the environment.

    I remember those alewives piling up on the shores. And bulldozers used to get rid out of them.

    lol, what’s the point if you can’t even eat the salmon due to chemicals. Seems like a waste of energy
