I have been asked would I recommend it still? So today I compare the stock ECU against the GS2 ECU chip box.

Overall I felt the GS2 gave the car less lag in power, you were able to pull away even if not in the optimal gear. There was a smoothness and fluidness between gear changes and the pick up was improved too.
Adjustment is via the screw on the front of the unit, of which you turn counter clock wise 4-6 turns up to a maximum of 24 turns.

Hey matey just seen the video, great explanation hand on heart. I’ve got a Honda HRV 1.5 (130bhp) been wanting to atleast make the the throttle response faster. Have you seen the other box by the same brand? It’s much more powerful apparently but I don’t want to get that one as there’s a video for this chip haha. What do you think?

if you take a look to the connectors, you will see only 2 wires !!!! how can it work with just 2 ?

Without the Chip you have to redline the engine more with the Chip it increases power 🎉🎉

I'm looking into how to improve throttle response and somebody suggested getting a plug-and-play device from Remus (it gives eco, normal, and race mode). Any suggestions?

Hi there, yes I have used plug and play ECU boxs that you can adjust with your phone, by a company called RaceChip, really good.

I just installed one of these GS2 boxes in my Peugeot RCZ 1.6 Petrol and, after 200 miles and with no screwdriver adjustments, I am very favourably impressed. The car may, possibly, be a bit quicker through the gears, but it is definitely much smoother (especially up to 2500 rpm) and fuel economy appears to be about 5mpg better on a motorway run at 60mph.
You are not going to shake the earth for £81, but I would certainly recommend this unit as a simple, cost effective and refreshingly impressive upgrade on a mid-range car

Would you use one on your Mercedes?, I did try a tuning box on my 2.7 diesel CDI for the past two years (set about half way up the range), then disconnected it just before the MOT ( CT here in France and done every two years btw) and the emissions came out lower than the last MOT, Not that it made the difference, but for me it clearly showed that (maybe) it had little difference on the engine (damage wise)
I'm in two minds whether to reconnect it as to be fair I'm not sure I feel the difference and would like to see if I get better fuel economy without it.
Thanks for your icarsoft info I have just brought the pro plus model to cover all my vehicles, Do you have knowledge whether this tool can turn off day time running lights on a Volvo V70? there seems to be a headlight section (btw I have not received through the post yet).

In terms of insurance issues, shouldn't be an issue as its not permanent and only a temporary plug in unit, you can disconnect in seconds.
