I am at a loss. Yesterday I spent literally 13 laps at Portimao and couldnt get the temps in the tires that you achieved in 2 laps with the Ferrari LMH.
I find that Portimão being a new track that I didn't know very well, I struggled getting tyres into the window as I was not pushing the car properly. Spa also has a lot of very high load corners, certainly in the middle sector...so this could also play a part I'd guess.
@@GSSimRacing I went to Spa last night and got to 2:04.9 in the Ferrari without much issue with room for improvement. At basically every other track I can't get enough heat into the tires to get decent grip
I think it is worth a shot. It does have a steep learning curve for sure. The driving is more dynamic and punishing than any other sim I drive. Some of this could be default setup related too of course, but I have not dabbled into this yet.
@@GSSimRacing that's something that's been nagging me lately driving AMS 2 mostly. There are multiple reasons I prefer AMS 2, but mostly because I feel connected to the road and car thanks to the excellent ffb. However there are parts of its driving model that are just plain too easy and/or simplified. One example is the fact that I can usually forcefully turn the nose in to a corner far more than would be considered realistic (at least imo), and correcting oversteer is kind of easy. I actually expected LMU to be simplified a bit for the masses, so I'm happy to hear it's quite the challenge!
The rFactor2 ffb and physics always were the best but people unwillingness to give a proper test because of other sim problems always gave rf2 mix feeling, but now LMU solved these problems and everyone is saying the same: Amazing ffb and physics. Incredible how the proper marketing changes everything,
@@GSSimRacing thanks for the video. I really like your analytical approach. you're not just saying this game is better because of this or that. you give very precise reasons. thank you
Thanks for the kind comments. Yep I will always try to be balanced and transparent. I don't see myself as a "RUclipser" or a Simracing "influencer", I'm just a regular guy with a family and so on, that loves Motorsport and sim racing. So when doing reviews and giving an opinion, it's done in a way that hopefully makes sense and with reasoning. I think some RUclipsrs who depend on RUclips for income, can sometimes be biased, as they can't afford to say a bad word against "sim name" as their entire follower base plays that sim. Whereas with me, RUclips is not my career nor a source of income or anything like this, it's just for me to share the sim racing passion with other sim racers in the most honest way I can, and have some fun along the way. 🙂
I'm having a blast and the special event servers are full too. 665 registrations for the 2.4 special event yesterday. I think more people are warming to LMU.
I am not a fan of RF2, I can honestly say that this is a big step forward and away from RF2 in some areas. It is till early access, so the game is nowhere near completed. The bugs that are there are annoying, but this is what early access is all about.
Just a beta, ashamed in 2024 to release a game not finished just starting, especially a theme for 10 year old children, fuck the red arrows at the start muahahaha and the menu turn ride to vomit@@GSSimRacing
@@GSSimRacing Agree completely, the physics don't feel like a clone of RF2, they seem to be smoothed although at default the kerbs can be pretty harsh but that should be a simple adjustment. I like the feel of weight particularly, hopefully the frame rate fluctuations will disappear as they release updates / optimisations. Great content as usual.
Another banger G!!!!! Great job
Thanks a million mate.
Just come across your RUclips channel brilliant video 👍
Thanks mate, appreciate that.

Skill issue
(not really, just funny to say that)

I was wondering exactly the samne thing when I saw the temp in the green in less than one lap ;)
@@pierrelaine6304 that's not the tire temps. It's in a different part of the hud.
a nice talk through of this game. I'm still sorting through my set-up problems, will try yo
I have the ffb Settings at the start and my fanalab settings on my smaller display near the end of video. All time stamped.
This is definitely looking better than expected, gues ill give it a try

I'm so hyped to see this game evolve.
Yes, the s397 team appear to be very active in Discord too and already pushed out a hotfix. I really think the potential for this game is huge.
Basically like ACC but for WEC cars. Love it.
Yes if they focus it and get it right, it will be a hit.

There was a known bug in the rf2 ffb on fanatec devices, so ffb was never what it should have been. Fixed in rf2 though.
Just excellent. Intoxicating hypercar sounds. The driving is brilliant. Just need to polish the UI now. And Vr
Agree 100%.

Your FanaLab settings are impossible to see, too small Screen up in the corner
Added a new video with Settings in the description and a walk through of the settings.
Ferrari 488 GTE isn't in ACC is it?
NopeACC is gt3, gt4 and gt2
No, the GTE is AMS2 and RF2 and the GT3 in ACC (both the original and the Evo version).
FOV still looks wrong
It's not. I've correctly measured everything since going to triples. So it's spot on now. It could be a RUclips thing.
@@GSSimRacing must be. Looks too far back. As long as it's good for you 👍
Thanks mate. Yeah when in the car it looks perfect. It's definately an improvement on the previous settings.
LMU sounds like a good $30.00 investment.
