Thanks a lot, man! I did lose a couple short clips because I forgot to connect back to the mic on Bluetooth. 😄 I think it sounds way better than before, for sure. Still learning. Thanks for watching!
Awesome area to set for a relaxing day or night out, got one of those Stanley kettles they are perfect for a quick boil especially on a twig stove like that. Very relaxing video to watch God Bless my friend.
God bless! The Stanley worked great for this trip. Looking forward to using it more. Does seem like a great match for a twig stove. I'm a fan of this Emberlit stove! Thanks a lot for watching! ✌️✌️
Nice video sir, I’ve got a couple of those hydrapak water pouches. I like how they fold up real small. Love the lake also. I know we are from the same area from a comment on another video of yours, definitely a beautiful area. Just subbed.
The Hydrapaks are super versatile. I think there's a snap that will fit the Katadyn. I need to grab that one at some point. I love the Katadyn filters. Thanks for the sub. We're blessed with some great areas here in the Midwest. I'm hoping to spend some time in the Mark Twain National forest in the near future. Thanks for the sub. I really appreciate it!
What a beautiful spot, especially for being open to free, public camping. If you don't mind camp meals from a can, one of those little bushcraft cooking grates/grills and a can of Spam (plus some instant grits) makes for a wonderful dinner.
I'll have to try that out. Thanks! This place is definitely a great spot for being free camping. The only thing I dislike about campsites so close to the water is the dew buildup in the morning.
@@awayinthewilderness4319 Yeah, it's definitely a trade off. If you like tostadas, you can slice the Spam, cook it up until the outside gets a little crisp on it, and then top it with grits, or cheese, or even beans and go to town with a fork. It makes a mighty fine meal if you don't feel like chopping the Spam up and tossing it into a canteen cup of carbs.
That little Stanley "Cook set" is pretty small. I have cooked Ramen in the one I have. But I prefer a small pot. I've recently picked up the Pathfinder 48 ounce cap/pot with lid. A much nicer item to cook in. I am not a fan of the Sawyer, it will not filter out viruses or petrochemicals. Something for you to think about.
I definitely think the Grayl is top dog as far as filters. The Sawyer is fine for my area and it's super convenient. I love the Pathfinder pots. I think I have one of them all. 👍
Ouch, Hidden Woodsmen stuff is way over priced as far as I'm concerned. I could get a good back pack for some of the prices they are asking for a Haversack. But I do like your video's.
It's definitely not cheap. I picked this one up on Amazon a while back. Probably 4 years or so. It's stood up really well so far. As it should for the price. Thanks a lot for watching! 👍
No they do not. You have to buy them separately. You'll need the plug n play cap and 28mm adapter to work with the Sawyer. It's a great item to have. I've used the Sawyers with regular plastic bottles and I'm not a fan. This makes it very easy.

I love your man purse videos... I mean haversack. Haha
@@RockyRandall 😂 I've always called it a purse.
@lawofkindness1611 😛
This is one of the best videos you have done. I love all the different angles. I can't believe how sturdy the tarp is. That's an impressive setup.
Thanks. I was feeling musical on the editing. 😍❤️
@@awayinthewilderness4319 you know I love that....😜😘
Peace be with you! ❤❤❤
From Hot Springs Village.
And to you! Thanks for watching! ✌️
Nice vid bud. Clear audio too. Take it easy fella.

That shot before you turned the light off at night was awesome!
Thanks, man! It was a nice night. Bugs weren't very bad at all. Thanks for watching!
Nice outing and load out…An extra plastic water bottle is light and worth it especially in hot weather. Have fun stay safe.
For sure! Thanks a lot for watching! 👍
Ove this place. Seems so peaceful. Thanks for sharing. God Bless you ❤❤❤❤❤
It's definitely a peaceful place! Thanks for watching and God bless you as well!

Tarps are so versatile. It's easily my favorite way to camp. Although, the bugs this time of year get pretty annoying.

Mic worked. Sounds good. Not sure what the answer is, though, when you want to talk AND hear nature sounds. Maybe someone has a tip on that?
You'd hate to have to have two mics and have to edit that in...
Ya. Still learning some things. Missed a couple shots because I forgot to connect the Bluetooth 😁
Nice outing! Do the attachments for the sawyer come with the hydropak? What is the exact model for the hydropak so I can order one?

@@awayinthewilderness4319 thanks
that haversack is dope
@@offthecouch1999 I like it a lot! Definitely not gonna go on any long hikes with this one, but it's a nice one.
Why are no long hikes? Do the Bron bags make it too heavy, or is the rectangular shape uncomfortable?
@@awayinthewilderness4319 seems well put together
@@offthecouch1999 Just a bulkier haversack all around. I'd choose my waxed canvas or oilcloth ones every time for a longer distance.
