I still would like to see some Living Quarters Horse Trailer reviews. They usually have a 13 to 15 foot RV in front, maybe a tack room area behind that, and 2, 3, or 4 horse in the back.
Very nice I’ve got the 2022 Lance 1172. Mine weighs 5070 lbs. put it on my 2008 gmc 3500. I’ve had some warranty issues with mine. Shower tub surround cracked. Being replaced. Got mine with lithium batteries and 2 solar panels. Generator love the rear slide with the Couch. You’re not stuck sitting at the dinette. We did a 3000 km trip with it this summer. They are expensive mine was $125,000 Canadian. Traded our older camper in on it. And ordered the new one.
I love the idea of putting this unit on a gooseneck trailer with the bed over the gooseneck and having the deck behind it for toy's and a deck I can add shade to
These and the Mammoth (3 slides) campers really are something... But yeah the capability needed for them is really something too. Still, they're awesome, and kudos to those with them. :O
Love this truck camper! The only thing that I would change is to put a composting toilet (hate the whole black water thing). The dining area looks sorta tight for a tall person.
Hey JD hope you're having a great day? I really love this Lance truck camper. I didn't know that there was that much space in this unit. I always thought that the truck campers had wet baths in them,an this unit has a dry bath. The sleeping spaces that you have in this Lance is amazing. It blew my mind that they are that spacious. Lance knows what they are doing that's for sure. Keep up the great work JD! Your number one fan an friend.Leonard from North Carolina.
I like it a lot, but I think i liked the one you reviewed the other day better. It didn’t have a slide, but it seemed to have just as much room, and was more luxurious as I recall.
JD, Any idea why the Lance 1172 cost what it does? Don't they start at 80k? Why do they cost so much more than a Lance bumper pull camper of comparable size.
I was really surprised that it was a regular bath than a wet bath. That is very well thought out. It sounds like a price to match, butbyou get what you pay for.
If you're using water from the fresh water tank, the weight is simply a transfer from that tank to the grey or black water tank, so the weight is not additive between the three tanks. If you're at an RV park using on-site water, then the RV is also probably hooked to the sewer so, again, the weight is not added to the grey or black tanks.
I love the slide in camper this is what I need how much for one some places I saw They wanted too much for one and the prices were not good I only have a thousand dollars saved
JD what do you think about all wood frame truck campers? There is another company with a large flatbed camper style (3 slides, very large) that uses wood due to better insulation, less condensation in the walls, and better screw holding, among others. What do you think about longevity? Will be carried by an F550 with Liquid Springs and 42” Goodyears. Thanks!
I have a 2006 F350 dually CCLB 2WD that has a cargo capacity of 5265 lbs. A comparable F450 rated cargo capacity is lower than than that, although it probably has a larger capability. It's hard to find a truck that has 6k lb unless you go to a regular cab dually with a gas engine.
This is way too heavy even for my F350 dually, guess you need a F550? I like the larger table this unit has over my 2000 11.5 foot slide in, but my slidei n had a lot more storage for food and cloths. Lance does build a very good unit.
Hello guy, I have a 2023 Tundra TRD sport, I’m looking for a 2022 and up Lance 650 dry weight 1600 pound & wet weight 1850, and as well a Lance 825 1830 pound & wet weight 2100, I do love both but 825 is lit bit more storage room, u guys have any idea💡, thoughts 💭, would it hurt my suspension, I know it robbing me on gas money ⛽️, and I’m live full time in it as well,
I don’t think you get full payload with slide in camper. You have to look at that specific rating and I think it’s less than total payload. 1172 is best on a 550 chassis or higher.
Another amazing review! Just fyi, since I know you try to conceal your identity (I saw your video discussing this idea), at 5:47 the mirror shows your face. Might edit and repost.
This is super cool and huge for a truck camper. Personally, I'd like it more if there were chairs and a smaller table for dining, but that's just me. The bathroom is very nice too!
How would all three tranks be full simultaneously? If you're using water from the fresh water tank, it's a transfer from that tank to either the grey or black tank - so the weight stays the same. The only way the weight would be additive is if you refill the fresh water tank and don't dump the grey and black tanks. Why would you not dump the tanks?

😂😮😮😮
🤣🤣🤡
Thanks for doing TRUCK CAMPERS!
I love the idea of putting this unit on a gooseneck trailer with the bed over the gooseneck and having the deck behind it for toy's and a deck I can add shade to
I can already see the broken ram frame rails 😂
Thanks for this kind of video please do some more on truck campers thanks.
These and the Mammoth (3 slides) campers really are something... But yeah the capability needed for them is really something too. Still, they're awesome, and kudos to those with them. :O
Love Lance camper's. They make them with fireplace in them also and a walk through bathroom
Would love to see a video on a Host truck camper
I would also.
Love this truck camper! The only thing that I would change is to put a composting toilet (hate the whole black water thing). The dining area looks sorta tight for a tall person.
Not crazy about blackwater either. Been looking at the Laveo dry flush toilets as an alternative.
A W/D would be awesone in this. Great video. Thank you.

The ultimate tonneau cover but damn it’s expensive. 😬
I would like to see Lance go to 12v refrigerators.
I got one of these on my 4 cylinder Tacoma and it does pretty good. Just go slow. Keep it under 85.
Hahaha. Go slow...keep it under 85. 🤣
Kickass video!
Very nice Lance truck camper 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊kudos to Lance for figuring out how to put a dry bath inside a truck camper 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
My 2001 Bigfoot 2500 10.6 had a dry bath and lots of other truck campers have had dry baths for years. Hardly a "first" in the industry.
@@buckhorncortez I was unaware of yhat, I'm quite new to this and still campers
Of all makes, just that this one was the 1st I've seen 😊
I like it a lot, but I think i liked the one you reviewed the other day better. It didn’t have a slide, but it seemed to have just as much room, and was more luxurious as I recall.
Numbers inside one of the kitchen cupboards.
it would be nice if they have the bed lift up for storage underneath...a very nice truck camper

These campers are made for families or couples that live on the road and stay in one place for a long period of time.
I was really surprised that it was a regular bath than a wet bath. That is very well thought out. It sounds like a price to match, butbyou get what you pay for.
Very nice!
Don't think I've ever seen a truck camper with slideouts. I kinda dig it. I would rather have a 12v fridge though.
Can you sit/use the side outs when they are pulled in?
Very nice unit. I could go for a camper like that if I had the proper truck to haul it.
Very nice 👍❤
At 8 pounds per gallon those tanks have the potential to 895 lbs max not likely to get that heavy but that potential is there
You can add an addition 932lbs roughly for the weight of the water in the three tanks when they are full.
I like this one
I love the slide in camper this is what I need how much for one some places I saw They wanted too much for one and the prices were not good I only have a thousand dollars saved
3:25, 600lbs.
4 people weigh 150# each?
Not in America in 2023.
Love it want one
Wow!
So it needs a 3500 dually?

I saw a video of a guy a while back that strapped one down to a gooseneck trailer and then loaded his big toys up behind it.
NICE
I like how it looks but I can see you didn't do any resaech before doing the video. Maybe next one ?
Did it get a sticker? 😃. Might be best to have medium duty truck like a 5500.
It did

For a truck camper, very impressive. I think you'd need a dully, 350 / 3500 though.
550
Lol JD you literally read where it said dry bath..
I caught that too.
JD sighting 😂🤣
No slide in access. Always need power???
Slide motors are 12 volts. There's an onboard house battery to power the slides if you're not connected to shore power.

This product better be nice for 80k

Actually RUclips offers an editor which can censor parts of your video. He could still do that

If all three water tanks are full, that's 934 pounds. 900 if you average it out to 8 poinds per gallon

I don’t see how you get around the frame bending issues with the overhung load this design creates
35 gallons +35 gallons + 42 gallons is 112 gallons @ 8.34#/gallon = 934 pounds if everything was full, which it most likely wouldn’t be. Still….
Add $80K for a used F-550 and flat.
75k CAD and I get plastic windows?? lol.
Ya, no
I wish rv manufacturers will decide whether the rvs they make are for full time use or just camping. I hate this half ass bs
Sounds to me that's a user's choice, not the manufacturer's.
