I joined this fandom at a young age cuz of its bright and colorful nature, but I got exposed to really bad stuff at a young age and it honestly ruined me. And these types of issues are STILL a thing today. It’s really disappointing
I'm with you on that, I became a furry when I was about 8-9ish and golly the horror of the internet has scarred my brain. I joined it with wholesome purposes, I stay for wholesome purposes. Not just the furry community, but the internet as a whole has ruined me. I could see some dark shit and not be phased at this point. I'm grateful I didn't get groomed.
Same thing happened to me and I was 13. I'm still a furry, but I'm actually one of the few normal ones, and I agree with everything he's saying in this video
I'm actually happy that problems within the fandom have been more openly discussed in recent months. Hiding this stuff and pretending everything is okay really doesn't help our reputation and leaves more minors vulnerable.
I actually knew Growly irl. I didn’t know they were what they were when I first met them. Just thought they were a typical common Socal fur. One day I went to the local bar furmeet that he often attended and noticed he wasn’t there. I asked one of my friends who knew him where he was and they just straight up said he was in jail. He also told me that he had defended him for a long time but after that one time, he was not the same toward him. Needless to say I also don’t trust him either. I’m thankful I don’t have to see his gross fursuit head anymore because I moved out of SoCal.

i know this was stated in the video, but it is ALWAYS important to remember that these individuals are NOT tolerated or accepted in the fandom, and that the large majority of the fandom is not like this.
As a member of the community, I can attest, that the fandom draws in some of the worst people. Not to say that everyone within the fandom is horrible, or that even a large number of them are. Just that a lot of my interactions within the fandom have not all been positive. The worst thing I've found when it comes to the fandom, is that most of the fandom, if not all of them, including myself, suffer from some form or fashion of mental degradation. I don't say mental illness because not all mental problems are an illness. However within the fandom, I don't know of anyone that I've spoken to that hasn't at least had depression. The issue with this, is that most of the people in the fandom are very friendly, reach out to others, and try to be kind and help with these mental problems. However they often times lead people down this road of believing that their mental problems, are perfectly ok. It's like the blind leading the blind in a way. A bunch of individuals with a lot of problems all going around trying to either help each other with their mental problems, or just trying to facilitate and appease their own mental problems. A person with depression, can't exactly help someone else with depression get over their depression. However someone with depression can use other people to get something they want so they don't feel as depressed. The issue arises more when people start to use peoples mental problems to their own benefit. Manipulation and Narcissism, is one of the worst problems you'll find with almost any person, regardless of where you meet them. It's extremely prevalent in the furry community, and if you're not careful you're going to run into someone like this. It's actually one of the reasons I became a furry in the first place. I was manipulated in a lot of ways to go towards the fandom. Much like with anything, it wasn't something I had a lot of interest or desire in. However, through manipulations of friendships, feeling like I had a place to belong, and of course connections I made with other people, I fell in love with the fandom. This wasn't necessarily done out of malice, or even by intent. However much like with anything in life, enough peer pressure and a promise of something better, can make you do a lot of things you might not like. The baseline of the fandom seems harmless, it's just a bunch of people who connect in someway to an animal, and like to express a little animalistic behavior from time to time. Unfortunately that's not all the furry fandom is, and anyone that claims it's not about sexual expression in someway shape or form, is lying to you, or lying to themselves. Though there are plenty I'd say that do stay away from the sexual part of the fandom, most do not, and even those that do avoid it, come into contact with it on a frequent bases, and they know it. The fandom is not healthy, in anyway shape or form, there is no question about that. However, in a world of acceptance, and everyone can be whoever they want, most don't see the underlining issues that come from the fandom. More so, they don't see the damage that the fandom does to people, and even worse they try to deny its existence instead of addressing it directly. The fandom has been a fun and enjoyable thing for me to be a part of. However it has also drawn me into dark places I should never have gone. It has taken years, and I mean YEARS, to recover from the damage that was done by the fandom, damage I allowed to happen because I just wanted to have a place I felt like I belonged. Damage I'm still recovering from. Still though, I've made good friends, and found things I really enjoy through the fandom, I was just never warned about the extremely high number of people there that will do all they can to take advantage of you, or worse.
That's a very interesting analysis. I will admit it does look neat, though I kind of watch from a distance as I'm a bit old for such things, and it's impossible to take vacations from my work. I also need all the hours I can get just for living expenses. I dunno, maybe it's my own mental issues that beacon me. Although many of my supervisors and co-workers have negative opinions of furries and the like. I'm sometimes warned to stop daydreaming and not to let the internet sweep me up in it's weirdness. Although one can't help but wonder about life beyond the time clock.
@@Chip_Doubledip I appreciate the comment, and all i can really say, is that the fandom does not require you to go to a con, or do something similar to be a part of it. My main connection to the fandom was through several online programs, and an art site that is very popular within the fandom. I never once stepped foot into a con, nor ever will. Now, i do speak in absolutes in this, but as you can guess, this is a theory based on gathered anecdotal evidence. So it's unclear if what I say here is true for all situations, though i can attest it's my truth. If there was anything i learned about the fandom, and i still need to fix for myself, is that putting yourself out there isn't bad, getting out there and doing something you like isn't bad. However, you need to be careful about who you're doing these things with, and be mindful of how the things you're doing may affect other people, and not just yourself. If you're older, than you likely already got that figured out.
This was really insightful. Reading it confirmed some things for me too. I used to draw SFW art for the community but I had to stop because it was negatively affecting my mental health to have to re-assert my boundaries to furrys that were trying to pressure me to draw NSFW art. I just don’t trust the fandom anymore. And these stories of creepy people have made it very clear to me that I have to be extra careful, should I ever decide to do commissions again.
Unfortunately, there is no way to deal with them. We can call out their behaviors which we do, and Potentially get some of them banned for the cons with enough evidence, IF said evidence is found reliable, however there’s no way to permanently shun and rid these individuals

Disagree slightly - people making brash generalizatiopns, and the onus always being put on the people being generalized (not the ones generalizing),. which is a problem in a LOT of communities, hobbies, fandoms, etc, does that a lot, if not more than "those people." I mean, it takes people spreading a generalization for the image to spred, logically, therefore the ones generalizing either ignorantly, foolishly, or actually maliciously in extreme cases, needs to have some of the plame shouldered upon them too. Basically, by isolating things to a community, you ignore the people outside that contribute to a problem. (AGain, this is a problem, IMO, in a LOT of hobbies, fandoms, communities)
The nice part about the furry fandom is that if someone is outed for something disgusting, a new suit and new identity to "start over" (with irl meetings) is often off the table because of the general high cost of suits
What’s so crazy is that, when I first started watching furry videos aka Majra Strawberry. When I saw Glitch in one of his videos I had a weird feeling about him. The way he spoke and acted, the jokes he makes. He made so many sexual jokes it started to disgust me. I immediately didn’t like that guy. I’m not even surprised to be seeing what he did because honestly by the way he acted proves how disgusting he is and his disgusting acts.

While these people have done AWFUL things that NOBODY in the fandom condones, this doesn't represent the whole community. I think a lot of people don't realize that, or even worse, I think some people just don't want to realize that. It's insane how terrible people can be.
I'd also like to add that age regression and ADBL are two SEPARATE THINGS. Age regression is where someone, of any age, reverts to a younger state of mind as a coping mechanism for trauma, stress, etc. They may use items like sippy cups to help comfort them. ADBL is a fetish that involves adults and kinks. People often get the two mixed up, because age regression is COMPLETELY sfw. Minors and adults both use age regression to cope with things.
I’ve been in the fandom since 2017 mainly for bumping into a local fur meet purely by accident and thus made some fab friends since. But unfortunately like every other fandom the furry fandom has its vile and beyond dark side no thanks to the toxic and dangerous degenerates that should be barred from the fandom.

I disagree in that they absolutely don't help, but this unreasonably puts all the burden on both the "bad eggs," AND the "good eggs," and does nothing to put some of the blame where some of it absolutely belongs: on the ones making generalized statements carelessly, both inside AND outsie-looking-in, which doesn't help. Basically, both the people in a community, AND the people making generalizations (ESPECIALLY those who might do so maliciously, if present), need to be called out - notp one or the other, as they are both links in the chain (IMO).

I feel very sorry for this community. As a furry, it's very hard to trust anyone in the crowd. It doesn't make it better when we're given death threats and being the butt of the joke, not to mention, some furries are the REAL problem in the community. As a person who uses fursuits and 'sona(s) as a comfort hobby, it disappoints me that I can't find anyone like myself. I wish people used this community correctly, as a happy place that is accepting of all; instead of using it for evil and terrible crimes. I like animal characters as much as the next person, but I don't understand what there really is to do in the furry fandom that doesn't involve sexual or narcissistic behavior. It literally started out with people doing roleplay online, which isn't a great start for a fandom that claims to be "not a fetish". It doesn't seem like there's much to do at furry conventions other than try to show off your character, buy merch of other people's characters you probably don't care about, or attend the "afterparties" to risk catching a disease. Despite the claim that the fandom is not a fetish, it has produced little to no popular media that is not sexual, and instead most of the things I see actively promote sexualizing anthro characters. In retrospect I feel like it's a claim designed to lure people who don't know any better. I'm sure there are pockets of normal people in the fandom, but it is nearly impossible at this point to be a furry without running into one of these people online.

I’m a furry, and want to make friends in the fandom, but at the same time it’s so hard. I have trust issues as is, and the fact that so many of these nasty people wriggle their way in scares me. there definitely seems to be a strong correlation between people having a very unimpressive physical form whether it be their looks or body and its a coping mechanism to feel better about oneself. very rare to see an attractive person thats into it from what i can tell. im sure they exist but few and far between
I've been to 2 furry cons, and both of them had these lewd after hours sex parties. Just about all the furries attended. I did not want to be there but both times my friend was my ride home. I was literally in a room with like 4 or 5 furries going at it on the bed, while a few others ate pizza and played smash bros. It was at that moment I realized when they say " we are a fandom not a fetish" but the way I see it, they're a Fetish trying to pass as a fandom. I never went to another fur con nor talked to my friend again. I just didn't want to be involved with that anymore.
Did you go to an 18+ con?? all the cons I have been to have had room parties but nothing insane like that , I'd like to set the record straight and say that a high HIGH majority of us don't do anything like that and see those who do that as pretty damn weird. Thank you for covering Growly. I saw at Furry Weekend Atlanta in 2019 while waiting for a group photo shoot with my friends. While waiting he came up to us and started asking really weird questions to two kids who were in the group right behind us. It was only after that interaction that I found out he was a convicted pedophile. Soon after I heard from a very good friend that he had been banned from the convention. Good riddance.

Someone tried to convince me that Glitch didnt do shit when I tried to bring it to their attention because they were friends with him, I didnt believe him one bit when he said Glitch was innocent but couldnt say anything because Glitch was a popular furry at the time. One time, i saw a public fursuit in walmart, and i freaked out. Most of a furry community supports lgptq but where i live we have a LOT of people on a right and im guessing they either dont know what a furry is or they just think its weird. i believe it was a blue wolf or dog, and it was a really cute fursuit. I literally freaked out, but of course, i wouldn't go over to them because-stranger. Plus, i am really anti-social. I believe i might never see a public fursuiter where i am. Theres also no furry cons near me so yeah- so yeah.
i personally knew a minor who was abused by glitch. I saw the callout post he made, and then shortly after he deleted them and said "i made it all up leave glitch alone i'm sorry" and deleted his account. the kid wa like 14/15. i hope he's okay now and has gotten therapy
As a person who is a minor and who is in the community and knowing people like this exist in the community is really making me want to end it all because I don't want to be in the world where people are like that who is in the furry community

One of the worst fandoms I had ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I was a part of the Los Angeles California furry group, and used to go to the meetup events it was fun at first but after a few months I started disliking and got annoyed by all the sexual stuff, then I heard about this furry named Growly who got banned for being a pedophile and the list goes on about the bad stuff in the fandom. Everything about the group is disturbing and disgusting. I sold my cheap partial fursuit for $400 and left the group never looking back. I advise everyone who is thinking about joining, don't do it unless you're a sick-in-the-head individual.
Come on man. You were a furry, so you should know that this isn't what the furry fandom as a whole is like. Ive been in the community for almost 2 1/2 years and I just find normal people living normal lives having fun and being creative. While there is some sexual stuff, you can find people like that in any community. You obviously became associated with some bad people which shaped your view in a negative way, but there are so many good people and you shouldn't classify us as "sick-in-the-head"

I think it's more like 15-30% (avg%-most%), since there are MANY furried over the world, but this creep problem seems very... American, so to speak. Find a furry creep from Ukraine, Estonia, Finland or russia, for example. All four have conventions, all four have donestic fursuit makers and all four generally don't feature furries in political and social discussion (with the exception of russia, where deputies are making a second attempt at banning furries).
This video reminds me of a guy that went by Aloha Wolf. As far as I am aware he never was with a guy who was under age but he would look for and sleep with MANY guys on their 18th birthday. So he would have to have be in contact with them before turning 18 in planing on sleeping with them once they turned 18..

The first time I figured out what a furry was is when I was like 10. I was playing vrchat and I saw this guy wearing a wolf furry costume and so I thought it was really cool cause I was ten and I loved animals (still do btw) so I put on the avatar and I was walking around minding my own business and this guy came up to me and asked why was I wearing a fur suit avatar and I didn’t know what he was talking about so I just said cause it looked cool and then my older brother wanted to play some so I gave him the headset he saw the avatar and asked if I was a furry so then I asked what that was and then he explained it to me and now I’ve never thouched a furry suit avatar again the end. Ps. It’s stupid how we can’t even like dress up as a animal just because we like animals without being accused of being a furry or whatever. As a furry myself the way I see it there are bad apples in ALL communities and fandoms whether religion, lgbt etc. I think it's not to base an entire community on a handful of said bad apple. There are allot of good things we do like raising money for local animal charities.

She gave me some friendly advice to overcome it and to not do the same things that I did in the past. I'm being humbled in a good way by my mother and I'm learning from my actions. I'm going to the bright side of my life and not the dark side. Please Pray for me for I will change to a better person

Pretty much true. Even as furries, we should realize there is a problem, and not just keep silent about it, making it worse. It's really better to call them out and make them outcasts in the fandom than just keep pretending that everything is okay in some misguided attempt to "save the fandom's reputation".

The evidence used against him was very lackluster and had an uncomfortable amount of holes, as well as quite a few trusted furs backing him up, and the whole issue surrounding him had pretty much completely dropped unlike most other known predatory furs who are never let go because of their actions. The whole situation behind Gl1tch seems like it could be another situation where evidence was gathered through distrustful and twisted ways to form a case against someone that someone wanted to hate, and that it could really just be a gamble between them being an actual predatory fur or just another fur being torn apart because they pissed off the wrong person. I do believe Oliver actually did do some horrid stuff though, and I don't believe Gl1tch was aware of the truth behind any of it, and considering that if the situation of Gl1tch being innocent is actually true, would be reasonable for gl1tch to assume Oliver was also innocent as they were attacked as a duo rather than individually
Couple of corrections/updates for you: 1. The minor Gabe groomed is a FtM Trans Man. 2. They didn't come forward on their own, the Facebook logs were leaked 1st. It was only in December 2022 that they would finally speak out publicly against Gabe. Gabe would then proceed to scream at them over a livestream stating that he was the real victim, not them. 3. Gabe and Growly are still friends and regularly hang out at private house parties hosted by a mutual friend 4. Gabe let Growly hold his son at a furcon and also tried to stay in the same room as him despite knowing that Growly was a registered sex offender 5. Growly is still active on Twitter and Telegram
I feel like every fandom has a unspoken darkside and each community wants to ignore those things and just enjoy lightside because it's not part of that fandom that it was founded in the beginning. I actually knew Growly irl. I didn’t know they were what they were when I first met them. Just thought they were a typical common Socal fur. One day I went to the local bar furmeet that he often attended and noticed he wasn’t there. I asked one of my friends who knew him where he was and they just straight up said he was in jail. He also told me that he had defended him for a long time but after that one time, he was not the same toward him. Needless to say I also don’t trust him either. I’m thankful I don’t have to see his gross fursuit head anymore because I moved out of SoCal.

As a member of the community, I can attest, that the fandom draws in some of the worst people. Not to say that everyone within the fandom is horrible, or that even a large number of them are. Just that a lot of my interactions within the fandom have not all been positive.
The worst thing I've found when it comes to the fandom, is that most of the fandom, if not all of them, including myself, suffer from some form or fashion of mental degradation. I don't say mental illness because not all mental problems are an illness. However within the fandom, I don't know of anyone that I've spoken to that hasn't at least had depression. The issue with this, is that most of the people in the fandom are very friendly, reach out to others, and try to be kind and help with these mental problems. However they often times lead people down this road of believing that their mental problems, are perfectly ok.
It's like the blind leading the blind in a way. A bunch of individuals with a lot of problems all going around trying to either help each other with their mental problems, or just trying to facilitate and appease their own mental problems. A person with depression, can't exactly help someone else with depression get over their depression. However someone with depression can use other people to get something they want so they don't feel as depressed.
The issue arises more when people start to use peoples mental problems to their own benefit. Manipulation and Narcissism, is one of the worst problems you'll find with almost any person, regardless of where you meet them. It's extremely prevalent in the furry community, and if you're not careful you're going to run into someone like this.
It's actually one of the reasons I became a furry in the first place. I was manipulated in a lot of ways to go towards the fandom. Much like with anything, it wasn't something I had a lot of interest or desire in. However, through manipulations of friendships, feeling like I had a place to belong, and of course connections I made with other people, I fell in love with the fandom. This wasn't necessarily done out of malice, or even by intent. However much like with anything in life, enough peer pressure and a promise of something better, can make you do a lot of things you might not like.
The baseline of the fandom seems harmless, it's just a bunch of people who connect in someway to an animal, and like to express a little animalistic behavior from time to time. Unfortunately that's not all the furry fandom is, and anyone that claims it's not about sexual expression in someway shape or form, is lying to you, or lying to themselves. Though there are plenty I'd say that do stay away from the sexual part of the fandom, most do not, and even those that do avoid it, come into contact with it on a frequent bases, and they know it.
The fandom is not healthy, in anyway shape or form, there is no question about that. However, in a world of acceptance, and everyone can be whoever they want, most don't see the underlining issues that come from the fandom. More so, they don't see the damage that the fandom does to people, and even worse they try to deny its existence instead of addressing it directly.
The fandom has been a fun and enjoyable thing for me to be a part of. However it has also drawn me into dark places I should never have gone. It has taken years, and I mean YEARS, to recover from the damage that was done by the fandom, damage I allowed to happen because I just wanted to have a place I felt like I belonged. Damage I'm still recovering from. Still though, I've made good friends, and found things I really enjoy through the fandom, I was just never warned about the extremely high number of people there that will do all they can to take advantage of you, or worse.
That's a very interesting analysis. I will admit it does look neat, though I kind of watch from a distance as I'm a bit old for such things, and it's impossible to take vacations from my work. I also need all the hours I can get just for living expenses. I dunno, maybe it's my own mental issues that beacon me. Although many of my supervisors and co-workers have negative opinions of furries and the like. I'm sometimes warned to stop daydreaming and not to let the internet sweep me up in it's weirdness. Although one can't help but wonder about life beyond the time clock.
@@Chip_Doubledip I appreciate the comment, and all i can really say, is that the fandom does not require you to go to a con, or do something similar to be a part of it. My main connection to the fandom was through several online programs, and an art site that is very popular within the fandom. I never once stepped foot into a con, nor ever will. Now, i do speak in absolutes in this, but as you can guess, this is a theory based on gathered anecdotal evidence.
So it's unclear if what I say here is true for all situations, though i can attest it's my truth. If there was anything i learned about the fandom, and i still need to fix for myself, is that putting yourself out there isn't bad, getting out there and doing something you like isn't bad.
However, you need to be careful about who you're doing these things with, and be mindful of how the things you're doing may affect other people, and not just yourself. If you're older, than you likely already got that figured out.

I used to draw SFW art for the community but I had to stop because it was negatively affecting my mental health to have to re-assert my boundaries to furrys that were trying to pressure me to draw NSFW art.
I just don’t trust the fandom anymore. And these stories of creepy people have made it very clear to me that I have to be extra careful, should I ever decide to do commissions again.

Disagree slightly - people making brash generalizatiopns, and the onus always being put on the people being generalized (not the ones generalizing),. which is a problem in a LOT of communities, hobbies, fandoms, etc, does that a lot, if not more than "those people." I mean, it takes people spreading a generalization for the image to spred, logically, therefore the ones generalizing either ignorantly, foolishly, or actually maliciously in extreme cases, needs to have some of the plame shouldered upon them too. Basically, by isolating things to a community, you ignore the people outside that contribute to a problem. (AGain, this is a problem, IMO, in a LOT of hobbies, fandoms, communities)
The nice part about the furry fandom is that if someone is outed for something disgusting, a new suit and new identity to "start over" (with irl meetings) is often off the table because of the general high cost of suits

What’s so crazy is that, when I first started watching furry videos aka Majra Strawberry. When I saw Glitch in one of his videos I had a weird feeling about him. The way he spoke and acted, the jokes he makes. He made so many sexual jokes it started to disgust me. I immediately didn’t like that guy. Age regression is where someone, of any age, reverts to a younger state of mind as a coping mechanism for trauma, stress, etc. They may use items like sippy cups to help comfort them. ADBL is a fetish that involves adults and kinks. People often get the two mixed up, because age regression is COMPLETELY sfw. Minors and adults both use age regression to cope with things.

It doesn't make it better when we're given death threats and being the butt of the joke, not to mention, some furries are the REAL problem in the community. As a person who uses fursuits and 'sona(s) as a comfort hobby, it disappoints me that I can't find anyone like myself. I like animal characters as much as the next person, but I don't understand what there really is to do in the furry fandom that doesn't involve sexual or narcissistic behavior. It literally started out with people doing roleplay online, which isn't a great start for a fandom that claims to be "not a fetish". It doesn't seem like there's much to do at furry conventions other than try to show off your character, buy merch of other people's characters you probably don't care about, or attend the "afterparties" to risk catching a disease. Despite the claim that the fandom is not a fetish, it has produced little to no popular media that is not sexual, and instead most of the things I see actively promote sexualizing anthro characters. In retrospect I feel like it's a claim designed to lure people who don't know any better. I'm sure there are pockets of normal people in the fandom, but it is nearly impossible at this point to be a furry without running into one of these people online.

I've been to 2 furry cons, and both of them had these lewd after hours sex parties. Just about all the furries attended. I did not want to be there but both times my friend was my ride home. I was literally in a room with like 4 or 5 furries going at it on the bed, while a few others ate pizza and played smash bros. It was at that moment I realized when they say " we are a fandom not a fetish" but the way I see it, they're a Fetish trying to pass as a fandom. I never went to another fur con nor talked to my friend again. I just didn't want to be involved with that anymore.

Did you go to an 18+ con?? all the cons I have been to have had room parties but nothing insane like that , I'd like to set the record straight and say that a high HIGH majority of us don't do anything like that and see those who do that as pretty damn weird. Thank you for covering Growly. I saw at Furry Weekend Atlanta in 2019 while waiting for a group photo shoot with my friends. While waiting he came up to us and started asking really weird questions to two kids who were in the group right behind us. It was only after that interaction that I found out he was a convicted pedophile. Soon after I heard from a very good friend that he had been banned from the convention. Good riddance.

Hello! I am not in the community, but rather a father of a child who is fur-curious (I don't know if that's a real word). I don't want to shut anything she's interested in without a good reason. Thanks for all the info. This won't be the only video I watch but it's one of the forst that came up.
Knowing what I know, I am hopeful the younger generation can help change any problems within your community if we empower them with the right tools.

One time, i saw a public fursuit in walmart, and i freaked out.
Most of a furry community supports lgptq but where i live we have a LOT of people on a right and im guessing they either dont know what a furry is or they just think its weird. i believe it was a blue wolf or dog, and it was a really cute fursuit. I literally freaked out, but of course, i wouldn't go over to them because-stranger. Plus, i am really anti-social. I believe i might never see a public fursuiter where i am. Theres also no furry cons near me so yeah- so yeah.

One of the worst fandoms I had ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I was a part of the Los Angeles California furry group, and used to go to the meetup events it was fun at first but after a few months I started disliking and got annoyed by all the sexual stuff, then I heard about this furry named Growly who got banned for being a pedophile and the list goes on about the bad stuff in the fandom. Everything about the group is disturbing and disgusting. I sold my cheap partial fursuit for $400 and left the group never looking back. I advise everyone who is thinking about joining, don't do it unless you're a sick-in-the-head individual.
Come on man. You were a furry, so you should know that this isn't what the furry fandom as a whole is like. Ive been in the community for almost 2 1/2 years and I just find normal people living normal lives having fun and being creative. While there is some sexual stuff, you can find people like that in any community. You obviously became associated with some bad people which shaped your view in a negative way, but there are so many good people and you shouldn't classify us as "sick-in-the-head"

I think it's more like 15-30% (avg%-most%), since there are MANY furried over the world, but this creep problem seems very... American, so to speak. Find a furry creep from Ukraine, Estonia, Finland or russia, for example. All four have conventions, all four have donestic fursuit makers and all four generally don't feature furries in political and social discussion (with the exception of russia, where deputies are making a second attempt at banning furries).
This video reminds me of a guy that went by Aloha Wolf. As far as I am aware he never was with a guy who was under age but he would look for and sleep with MANY guys on their 18th birthday. So he would have to have be in contact with them before turning 18 in planing on sleeping with them once they turned 18..

The first time I figured out what a furry was is when I was like 10. I was playing vrchat and I saw this guy wearing a wolf furry costume and so I thought it was really cool cause I was ten and I loved animals (still do btw) so I put on the avatar and I was walking around minding my own business and this guy came up to me and asked why was I wearing a fur suit avatar and I didn’t know what he was talking about so I just said cause it looked cool and then my older brother wanted to play some so I gave him the headset he saw the avatar and asked if I was a furry so then I asked what that was and then he explained it to me and now I’ve never thouched a furry suit avatar again the end.
Ps. It’s stupid how we can’t even like dress up as a animal just because we like animals without being accused of being a furry or whatever. I’m not trying to hate or anything I’m not apart of there community but I respect them for just being who they are.

As a furry myself the way I see it there are bad apples in ALL communities and fandoms whether religion, lgbt etc. I think it's not to base an entire community on a handful of said bad apple. There are allot of good things we do like raising money for local animal charities.

Like Here's a story of myself on my dark side
On Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. I was telling the truth of what I've done wrong and I take full responcibility and Accountability for it. I crossed Nala_Elephant's Boundaries and been on her AD account and she blocked me on both accounts, I harassed lunesonthemoon for free art by doing the DTIYS, And I dumped personal information when we weren't close friends.
On Thursday Feb 1, I was ready to sleep, I had to tell the truth to mom of what I was hiding. She was not mad or disappointed. She was sorry that I had to go through such horrible things. She gave me some friendly advice to overcome it and to not do the same things that I did in the past. I'm being humbled in a good way by my mother and I'm learning from my actions.
I'm going to the bright side of my life and not the dark side.

Pretty much true. Even as furries, we should realize there is a problem, and not just keep silent about it, making it worse. It's really better to call them out and make them outcasts in the fandom than just keep pretending that everything is okay in some misguided attempt to "save the fandom's reputation".
I agree with most of this, I'm not caught up on the Abdl drama, but I will say I don't fully believe in the Gl1tch predation drama. The evidence used against him was very lackluster and had an uncomfortable amount of holes, as well as quite a few trusted furs backing him up, and the whole issue surrounding him had pretty much completely dropped unlike most other known predatory furs who are never let go because of their actions.
The whole situation behind Gl1tch seems like it could be another situation where evidence was gathered through distrustful and twisted ways to form a case against someone that someone wanted to hate, and that it could really just be a gamble between them being an actual predatory fur or just another fur being torn apart because they pissed off the wrong person.
I do believe Oliver actually did do some horrid stuff though, and I don't believe Gl1tch was aware of the truth behind any of it, and considering that if the situation of Gl1tch being innocent is actually true, would be reasonable for gl1tch to assume Oliver was also innocent as they were attacked as a duo rather than individually
Couple of corrections/updates for you:
1. The minor Gabe groomed is a FtM Trans Man.
2. They didn't come forward on their own, the Facebook logs were leaked 1st. It was only in December 2022 that they would finally speak out publicly against Gabe. Gabe would then proceed to scream at them over a livestream stating that he was the real victim, not them.
3. Gabe and Growly are still friends and regularly hang out at private house parties hosted by a mutual friend
4. Gabe let Growly hold his son at a furcon and also tried to stay in the same room as him despite knowing that Growly was a registered sex offender
5. Growly is still active on Twitter and Telegram
