Harley, J. Peterson is a smart man, but he is spreading total nonsense about food. He himself visited Russia during his addiction trouble (on prescribed meds, legal meds) seeking help from russkiys 😂 and almost died there 😡 because life cost there is essentialy worthless. Likely he got help somewhere in the West and they saved him. Peterson has no authority to give health advice to anyone.
On his interview with joe rogan he even says he has no idea what he’s talking about when it comes to diet but then still goes on to say that we eat too many carbohydrates as it makes people fat and stupid. It’s some really dangerous advice. A lot of people will listen to that and take it on board. Good luck trying to focus without carbohydrates.. an accident waiting to happen.
Im doing weight cut to get better watts/kg in ice-hockey. Doing now About 87/10/3. Getting leaner fast. Carbing upp performance is very good. Todays activities: •Morning 1h indoor cycling/traning. •1h+ Weightlifting(with yelling coach😂) +12 100% intervals on spinning bike. •1h ice-hockey •3 Walks with dog. •Bicycle commute to work •total of 20k+ Steps. Now its 22:00 not hungry at all. Cutting kilos fast. When I was on higher protein/fat and lower carbs I was totally drained these days and hungry as F at night. Lot of energy at work too! Thanks mate for reminding me.
The tamarind Jarritos is the absolute king. Now, in Mexico, these drinks come with a warning label on them about their "excessive" sugar content (not on the bottles for export). But it's natural cane sugar, and I, at least, can feel how much more readily my body absorbs the energy from this after 90 minutes of riding than a HFCS containing can of American Coke.
Jarritos is pronounced “Haritos”. I didn’t know they had them in Australia. They sell in vending machines at the flea markets here in America and at the grocery stores.
Harely I have been following your channel and message for 6 years. I went vegan, had a vasectomy, never restrict calories and just started cycling. I agree that carbs are important, but refined carbs like that soda destroy insulin sensitivity. You should eat sugar that is low on the glycemic index, like bananas, black rice, mangies, pears, apples, etc. When you are doing cardio, you can drink honey for that extra boost.
@durianriders search it up man, foods higher on the glycemic index negatively impact insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance. Many studies proving this. Can you cite a study that opposes this?
I find can push more watts with sucrose but HFCS is still excellent. My main issue with it is GMO. For after decades of observations sucrose just works best.
Expensive sugar. Make your own. Those drinks are very acidic on teeth. Sugar water is ph neutral. I get free sports drinks and do drink them but more into sugar water.
Look at his women and cardio and look at mine. Look at his drug addiction and look how much I love being sober. I DO envy his fame though. I’d love to have his reach so I could guide people off the drugs and fatigue lifestyle that he promotes and instigates.
