    This is pretty cool. Finally got myself a 4Runner TRD off road premium and have been looking into a new suspension. Cool shop talk video.

    Love this vid! So well filmed and learned a lot about suspension in general as well as the specifics of this install. Also enjoyed the bit on the approaching storm. That was a nice aesthetic touch!

    Noticed you're not running a pan hard bar correction kit for the lift, any reason for this?

    Pretty cool that it is remotely adjustable. Don’t know if I am a fan of having to rely on my phone. Plus I am a person who doesn’t like a bunch of apps on my phone.

    Can you comment on the ride quality with the new setup? I have KDSS as well, and I find it to ride pretty harsh over uneven/bumpy pavement.

    Love the build, maybe do a walkaround one day?
    Can you touch on the rear lights? Are they standalone or did you wire them in to the taillights? Also, do you have them set up for area lighting or just chase lights? I don't have a rear bumper either and was thinking about mounting flush lights so seeing their position on yours was perfect.

    • @Tanner_Johnson
      @Tanner_Johnson Год назад +1

      They are wired separately to my Switch-Pro for chase lights or can strobe in an emergency situation

    Similar concept to Lexus AVS and their adjustable shocks - see GX460 Luxury. This take that up several notches!! Unfortunately for me, ICON brand is a no go.

  • @kailuarunner746

    I also have KDSS on my 2020. Can you go into the front sway bar LCA brackets/bushings and comment on their alignment? I have the ICON Stage 7 set up on mine and since the install my sway bar is no longer aligned and causes the bushings to pinch. ICON hasn’t offered me a solution yet after contacting them. DrKDSS has come out with on offset bracket for this along with drop spacers and a track bar kit to set the KDSS back to normal OEM angles with a suspension lift. Any help will be greatly appreciated!, Love the Shop Talk episodes.

    wow, for 2014, she looks good, I have a 2016 4runner trail with kdss, and she too is very well looked after. How much of a lift does that setup give you? Would like to invest in that system, but I do have a height restriction. Currently, I have had mine leveled out with the bilstein 5100 upfront and ibach adjustable springs in the rear, which just about gives me enough room. Thanks for your imput, and keep up the great work. Be safe out there.

    Those weren’t Pro shocks on the front, Fox makes those. You removed Bilstein. You’ll see the TRD red for the springs on all Pro models.

    Tanner, which model Odyssey AGM battery are you running and what are you doing under the hood in order for the 4runner’s alternator to adequately charge the AGM? Thanks

    • @Tanner_Johnson
      @Tanner_Johnson Год назад +1

      Running the Group 31M and a voltage booster fuse that replaces the 7.5A alternator fuse. Works great to boost the voltage to the right voltage. Also have a solar panel on top that is wired strait to the battery as well.
