- There are a few settings that could be causing this issue, and we go over 3 of them in about two minutes. Here they are if you'd rather read:
1. Tolerance could be too high
2. Sample All Layers might need to be checked
3. Quick mask might need to be turned off (Q on your keyboard)

Spent 3 years of my life hating photoshop for this and now when i HAVE to use it because the internship requires it, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!
You're welcome 😊 I'm so happy the video helped!!
All it took to fix it was for you to say: 'You wanna check that that your tolerance is not too high.' Solved issue in 32 seconds, thanks a bunch!

TheNintendoFanatic I’m so happy to hear that! You’re welcome!
thank you so much, I was so confused. I was sure I had checked everything, the layers, the settings, I even restarted the whole program. In the end I had the mask on, I didn't even think to check that
Those dang masks! :)
For me, the solution was setting Sample Size (top left corner) to Point sample.
Oh nice! Glad you got it figured out! :)
That's was it. Thanks for that.
This helped! Thank u!
Elliot Jackson You’re welcome! I’m so happy to hear that!

You're welcome!
For me, all I had to check on was "contiguous." I am using a jpeg 2d graphic exported from sketchup
Awesome! I'm glad that worked for you! :D
Helped me too :)
Ιt was the "Q" problem for me.
Awesome! I'm so glad the video helped! :)
thhaaannnkkk youuuu
You're welcome!
None of the above have worked for me :-(
Oh no! Sorry the video didn't fix your problem!
@@GDHT do you have any other suggestions please?
@@BigPhilBritishhiphop I don't, sorry! These are the only ways I know how to fix this, unfortunately. So your wand tool is selecting everything, that's your exact problem?
@@GDHT Yep, although it's a hand-drawn picture, that I've then captured on my camera. I've rasterized the layer and enhanced the contrast but still no joy.
@@BigPhilBritishhiphop I just thought of this - you could try trashing your Photoshop preferences - that tends to reset glitchy behavior.
Sample all layers solved the problem for me
Awesome! Glad one of them worked. :)
