Thank you for breaking this down in a way beginners can understand! I just picked up the minilab 3 to try to get into music making as a hobby so I have no idea what I'm doing. I watched so many other videos and still had no idea how to use this thing. This is the only video I found that broke things down enough that I can actually understand what this device is capable of. Awesome job!

Great video, I just got this controller. Some of the settings and functions are a little more advanced. Would be great if you could do a video with the Minilab 3 and Logic Pro.

I have the Yamaha DGX670 88 keys which I have setup as a Master MIDI Controller but unfortunately it lacks an Arpeggiator or Modulation Wheel thus I would like to be able to access those Mini Lab 3 features while playing the DGX670 keyboard. I also have the Arturia Mini Lab 3 and the Yamaha DGX670 connected via USB to my laptop computer and I would like to be able to press keys and play notes on my DGX670 keyboard and have those notes fed to the Mini Lab 3 Arpeggiator but I have not been able to figure out how to set this up in the Mini Lab 3 or know if this is even possible? Your help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Better than the official certainly but I am a beginner at midi controller and only occasionally play the guitar sometimes(bard chords don't agree with my stubby fingers I suppose). Any roadmaps for me to starting playing some songs and eventually create my own using the minilab3?
Hi, good day, I was wondering if you have experienced arming a track but the pad doesnt light up. It will only light up once you press it again to record. Any idea? Thanks!
I'm unable to change color, it doesn't let me save on midi control center. A window shows up saying something like: "The current template has been modified. Do you want to save it? Please note the device is connected but not synchronized. Press "store" to send edits to device." I have no idea what the store button is. It doesn't give me the option to save because the button is unclickable. I can only press on cancel or continue without saving. Also in midi controller center i cannot click on user remplates.
Hey I need some help... I am a begginer user of ableton I wonder how I could make the pads of the minilab assigned on the color of the clip on ableton. Now every pad just light white... I hope you could help me thanks.

Terrific video! How can you set a scale on chord mode? A simple transpose of the same chords is a little bit a useless on a live contest in my opinion

Just got mine and it lights up, downloaded the software but no sound from my Minilab 3, have I missed something?
Does it also show which clip is running via blinking leds?
How can I switch the pads to drum mode?

Press shift+pad once or twice to cycle through the different pad modes.

Even a phone can run a mini lab, it’s just a usb device. The plugins you use inside your music making program (a DAW) will use the power of your CPU.
Why does Arturia insist on that damn microscopic screen? I can barely see it much less read it.
Completely useless. Double the size and add one for each knob and Fader so you know what they are without touching.

You can’t switch it off. what you can do is to change the Sleep Mode to have no lights. I hope this helps you.
