Had not seen a Dead show since 1992. Saw them a lot in the early 70s and throughout the 70s but got my interest rekindled because of listening to them on Sirius XM and my two sons have been fans, one of them for a decade or more. So we just made it a family outing, was great fun. I miss Jerry and Phil and Keith and Pigpen and Donna but John Mayer has added some pep and they sound really good on the blues songs. John Mayer kills it on Sugaree and on some of the long jams. Chimenti and Oteil are also very good players so in many ways it's the best band they've had in years. It will never be what it was, but it's really great that this music continues on. The spirit of the crowd was great, the Deadheads young and old are fun to watch and it was fun being with them. As for the crowd being 99.9 percent white, that's true of most of the old rock acts. Don't think you could make a case that the people in this crowd would feel comfortable at a Trump rally. How that even got brought up is sick. A downer, man. The Dead live. Maybe draggy in spots, but lively enough to make it worth your while if you ever were a fan. Plus, never had been to the Hollywood Bowl. An iconic venue to see some rock legends.
This is still a great band-- one of the very best if not the best live bands in the world. Just went to Shoreline with my two adult (early 20s) daughters for the first time. Very special. There are a lot of young people at these shows (also just did two nights at Hollywood Bowl). It is great to see. The music and spirit is living and thriving!

Just keeps getting better and better jerry is smiling from heaven great show
Nugs finally figured out we don't need to scroll forward 25 minutes?
👍😮👌
This song lives as a dead and company song. Mayer just breathes life and soul into it. Was blown away in Atlanta in 15? When I heard it.
Cold Rain...Mayer loves to tear this up!

50 years will do that
👍😎👌 Right? I remember $40/50 bucks in the 1980s for GOOD Seats
I remember paying under $20 for my first Long Beach show in 80 or 81. Walked right up to the ticket booth at show time. It wasn't close to sold out.

Mayer's got the Jerry sound down on Prophet. So good.
Tomorrow night gonna be littttttttt
Yes Bobby is back in LA!
i like the second prs guitar with the single coils more, better for soloin it has a clearer more precise tone
Wasn’t that a West L. A. Fadeaway tease?
Smoking excellent
Any way to watch the full show? This one my favorite dead and co I’ve been to so far
Who's Mayer's fashion designer? Tres chic
No sound effect of intro like “infrared roses” version?! “Crowd Sculpture” Woot woof aroooo?!! Geez....
Bob has signature guitars with Dangelico and Alvarez, yet doesn't ever play them. It's all about the $$$$$$$$$

More like Cold Rain and Slow, amiright?
You're wrong. Your grammar is what sucks.
Cold zzzz’z and slow
I'm guessing Otiel washes that off every night and gets it done again, hmmm
He's not trying to be Jerry. If he sounded like Jerry the band wouldn't play with him, they want something new.
Play Slower
Please no more Zzzzzzzz.....
Amazing that all of the audience members look like they would fit in at a Trump rally.
What does that even mean and why even go there?
Those are the ones that yap away during Comes A Time.
@@staggerlee4979 that's even more stupid. Thanks for the info though. I'm not judging I just don't get why Trump is brought up endlessly by people.
