Great video homie..I use live,cut bait,chicken livers ,and the nightcralers,stinky bait and that's how ya catch catfish bottom line..screw the power gulp etc.....that's for rookies that need to learn
Can’t lie, the fiber baits, chum bait, and strawberry worked decently for me.. like you said I’d fish a lake or a pond but I’d get channel and carp all day on those cheap baits
You’re the first one I’ve ever heard to say about the *catfish bite* chum bait to not stay on the hook when I was younger I bought some of that stuff thinking I was gonna slam them I put it on my hook and it fell off I kept trying to keep them on my hook they would not stay on! I tried 2 other things that were similar to it They would not stay on and my hands smelled awful. I was annoyed cause I had all this bait that I bought and they would not stay on the hook I finally just had enough and threw it away. I believe they would work but whatever they make them out of they just won’t stay on the hook like worms or chicken or fish it’s just kind of scam I believe. I think you’ll have to tie them with one of those hair ties or something but I don’t think that would even work cause it kinda just melts off the hook soon as it gets wet. It’s just a scam it doesn’t work for me I’ll never buy anything like that again. I’ll stick to worms or fresh bait.
Imo tube baits work those are boss especially sonny's catfish on it. But the dough bait stay away from it's trash. You'd have better luck with the bag than the dough bait.
yo ryan i agree with you 100% i once caught a nice lil ole 3 to 5 pounder channel cat on a crankbait and on a tube bait , Because of this vid i feel like making my own channel cat tackle walmart supply vid , i recently discovered that soda soaked hotdogs or "Banquet Brand" Maple Sausage works the absolute best for me , matter of fact back in october of 2019 i was fishing and spent 7 hours no luck ended up breaking the line , was on verge of balling my eyes out in tears , the next morning i haul out and fire out ole banquet maple well i'd say about 30 to 45 minutes later channel cat Bo came guns blazing hott and i ended up catching a real real real nice 5 to 7 pounder hauled to the drive way fast as my paws could move and got to use my fillet table to this today i often time remind myself time aint done run out on me yet if i know bo as well as i do then with in no time at all ole Bo be hogged out hotter then Guns blazing on fresh hott paved texas asphault before we even know it , i even had days where i'd fire out maple and or hot dog right as i was headed home from my honey hole and on the last second i was able to catch a channel cat rght before we took off to haul home

Only ever used dough bait at the ponds and lakes and caught cat everyday. Biggest was almost 20lbs off dough bait

The strawberry dough bait isn’t like the doughy as the other magic baits it works great for channel cats and blues

I mush it into playdoh and then put it around the hook it works sooooooo much better 👍

I seen another vid where they put a bead in front of weight so it won’t mess up the line you know where I can get the bead?
Bead would be found at Walmart / bass pro. It’s great for helping knots stay fresh when using a big weight.
