"The Creation of Anne Boleyn" is a really good book! I listened to it on audiobook & loved it! I love the Tudors, and I love reading cultural histories, so it was right up my alley.

Just wanted to mention that I hope you will be reading other books about Mary Queen of Scots. I agree with the idea that she has been frequently "romanticized" but Wormald goes to the extreme of really excoriating her for basically not being a natural politician. I'd suggest Mary Queen of Scots by Antonia Fraser, probably the first balanced biography (not romanticizing nor going to the extreme of painting her as a schemer). A newer biography is the one by John Guy, Mary Queen of Scots, The True Life of Mary Stuart or there is another version known as Heart Is My Own: The Life of Mary Queen of Scots.

Another good Tudor book series is the Wolf Hall Trilogy by Hilary Mantel. These three books are written from Thonas Cromwell's point of view regarding the events he witbessed and was involved in during the reign of Henry VIII. I've already read the first two books from the series, Wolf Hall and Bringing Up the Bodies which I enjoyed and found interesting. I am now starting on the third and final book of the series, The Mirror and the Light. These books are historical fiction and worth reading if you are a fan of books about the Tudors.

I have a confession… I actually DNFed Wolf Hall! I just really didn’t get on with the writing style. Maybe I’ll give it another go someday though!
