who designed this shit why do i have to cut it up to take the brake line off the strut
You don't, you just need to loosen the brake flare, but usually it's super rusted and hard to remove. Plus once you've loosened it, it will gather up air and drip brake fluid, so now you need to clean that up and then flush your brakes from air
