3:19 Should we tell him it is actually a professional team?
The Oakland Ballers, nicknamed the Oakland B's, are an independent baseball team that will play in the Pioneer League in 2024.
The Pioneer League isn’t nearly as important or prestigious as the MLB so while it’s technically a professional league it’s still a huge downgrade
@@michaelscott358 Not arguing that. My point is that it is professional.
@@michaelscott358 right
When do they play against the As?
Oakland Ballers: HIGH BALLIN'!!!
I am looking to be the backup catcher. I know that I am not good enough to be the starter - maybe play me once or twice a week. I’m a good glue guy. Let me know - I will send you guys a video of me doing my throw downs to second like uncle Rico practiced playing quarterback in napoleon dynamite
Crackheads aren't allowed in MLB. You have to apply for NBA.
Man this is so sad for Oakland fans. It's not right. Yall have support and sympathy in Texas.
THe Bay Area idiots have been voting for Commies for decades. This is not the fault of the owners. Oakland and SF are dumps now, including San Jose
Most people don't know it but most of the guys there trying out for a spot are current Oakland A's players.
True story!
lol
While the A’s are going to Sacramento, Oakland still have The B’s. And their logo will be a bee. 🐝
They should change it to a gangbanger breaking into a car!.
The A's need a open tryout 😂😂
I saw the thumbnail, and I was wondering why Jason Giambi would be trying out for this team.
Everyone just gave up on Oakland. That sucks. If there’s ever a big sign that says leave, here it is.
Cool.
Balkers needs to apply for mlb application
Contact Kurt Russell, Jim Bunning, others about the Kurt's dad's independant Mavericks?
They already know about Mavericks and i am sure they had talked with the Russels
Interesting... Why is home plate backwards?
gotta be different
Because the city is…
That’s the direction Oakland is going.
Good luck ballers
Any body can try out?
Of course. A "gurl" even made the "pro" team.
Kilo Papa India X-ray
The Ballers want local people so they can keep their day jobs and not have to move anyone
Lets get NHL at Oakland Coliseum Arena
It’s not cold enough 😂
@@toddconley3245 winter tho
@@toddconley3245 it is racist that Baltimore and Atlanta and Oakland don't have hockey
@@rapalbumdepot7648 I think the big cooperations logic is, Oakland doesn’t need a NHL team because that’s what LA and San Jose is for. And big money already relocated the two other professional teams out of the area so it’s probably viewed as the best option for a new team unfortunately.
I’m not agreeing with you entirely, but I miss Oakland sports teams, too.
@@rapalbumdepot7648 My mistake, I thought you meant as an outdoor venue like they do in the northern states. Indoor could work.
It's funny how karma works. Because back 2017 laney college had the chance to move the Oakland A's next to laney college by building the stadium 🏟️ over one of parking lot. But the stupidest thing happened the people of Oakland was stupid enough to sign a petition to stop them from building the stadium. So karma is a Bitch congratulations 🎉 you played yourself. Now they're moving to Vegas LOL. Bet you guys wished you never done that.
🤮
What a joke 😂. Hella generic name m… “Ballers” 😂
If I remember right, Paul Freedman said it was to honor a friend who suffered from cancer, and he'd call himself a "baller".
@@robbyg8104 if that’s true, I feel bad for the friend that battled cancer passed away. But that story makes the team’s Name even more unfit.
@@NorCalFresh Here is the exact, true story: Paul Freedman had a friend named Bobby Winslow. When they were in high school, they'd play basketball at Ohlone Park. Winslow was a gifted athlete, and Paul says he played like Michael Jordan. After graduation, Winslow moved to New York and took a job in Manhattan with Goldman Sachs. Everything seemed to be going his way in life. One day he went jogging in Central Park and collapsed. It was discovered that he was born with a misrouted artery exiting his heart. It's circulation was momentarily blocked, and he died in the park on Spt. 9, 2000, just 23 days after his 22 birthday. Freedman named his baseball team the "Ballers" in honor of his late, dear friend Bobby Winslow.
the "athletics" isn't super creative either. . .
All these whining fans should have supported the A’s by attending games at the Coliseum.
A's fans fully support the team, Fisher ran the team into the ground. He gutted the roster, traded off good players, let others leave via free agency, never spent a dime improving the roster or the ballpark, raised ticket prices, increased parking and concessions, and when it came to negotiations Oakland would meet his demands, but then Fisher was always demanding more from Oakland, and he tried to leverage Oakland against Las Vegas. The most recent example of A's fans supporting the team when they filled the parking lot, but the stadium was practically empty, because they were protesting their incompetent, insufferable owner John Fisher.
@@robbyg8104B.S . Attendance have been down for over 15 years. Go attend a game, money doesn't grow on tree. BTW, I AM GLAD OAKLAND GOT SCREWED. LMAO!!!!
@@pipehitter114When the A's where really good in the 1990's, and the Coliseum was in decent shape and baseball friendly (no Mt. Davis), the A's averaged well over 2 million a season. They averaged over 2 million a season in the early 2000's. In the last 15 years, the A's had 2 million in 2014 when they had a playoff-contending team, from 2006 to 2019 their attendance was well over a million people, though usually under the AL average by about 500,000 yearly. Attendance really dropped off in 2020 because of Covid, then 2021 to present because John Fisher gutted the team (letting young stars go), he spent no money to improve the roster or ballpark, he increased priced--tickets, concessions, parking..., treated his players in the major and minor leagues like a pile manure, and he started exploring moving the team, trying to use Las Vegas as a way to leverage the city of Oakland... The bottom line is that if the A's had state-of-the-art, well kept baseball-only stadium in Oakland, and an owner cared enough to keep it's stars, while adding talent to the roster, you'd see baseball really flourishing like in the early 1990's.
