@@walterwhite1 You may be right. MLB Trade Rumors is reporting the exact opposite of that though. I would suggest reading that article because it's interesting. It's the most recent article about the A's going to Sac-town. Maybe they will officially be known as the Sacramento A's? They definitely will never wear Sacramento on their jerseys though. It's just going to say Athletics during both home and road games. I guess the Angels do that too. They claim Los Angeles but don't wear it on their jerseys. They always just say Angels. Kind of funny though. Angels don't have Los Angeles on their jerseys because they aren't located there. A's won't wear Sacramento even though they are located there. Same result for seemingly opposite reasons.
When the blue jays came to Buffalo, sahlen field got a ton of updates I’m sure this stadium will as well. Also, tickets went FAST in Buffalo just to see some major leaguers, this is definitely a better situation than currently in Oakland
At this moment, a Vegas ballpark is just a pipe dream. As for Sacramento, It's a large area, and it shouldn't be difficult to fill 14K seats for most games. Major league baseball will be a huge draw in that area. Imagine being able to see teams from all over the country!
I do wonder if they add stands to the outfield and i think would need more lights for night games . That season the Blue Jays played in Buffalo they still had to fix the Stadium up some for MLB ESPN that year one of the first games in the Stadium they was talking and showing the changes the tean had to do to the stadium to play there .
its a nice ballpark. It has a great beer garden! The only negative is that you can't walk around the outfield perimeter like you can at other AAA parks. (ours here in Reno)
I don’t think the A’s will end up in Vegas when all is said and done. As the Vegas City Council voted against them moving to Vegas last month. The mayor of Vegas even doesn’t want them. The A’s also DON’T have ANY of the construction Documents that need filed 5 years from the opening date. I think the Sacramento Kings owner does a hostile takeover of the A’s. Time to just contract the A's - and the Marlins as well. Consider it a mercy killing. And if that happens, Miami-Dade could probably convert the Marlins' park into something reasonably suitable for Inter Miami for less than it would cost to build a completely new stadium complex for them.
During hurricane season Katrina, the then New Orleans Hornets, moved to OKC. For 37 games they were officially the Oklahoma City Hornets; they rebranded their jerseys and everything. I don’t see a reason The Athletics can’t and won’t do the same when they will be in Sac for 3 YEARS.
@@DebitAdams Not always, Marlins and Dolphins shared outdoor with no roof many years. Just never heard of Sacramento being that extreme, and it is not I looked up the averages.
Some of the complaints I've heard about are the player facilities and that's nonsense. I don't see why they won't add temporary or permanent buildings for locker rooms, and weight rooms, they will add batting cages, and they can expand the area at the dugouts so that players don't have to run to the locker room in the outfield, I can even see them adding another 2,000 or so seats. If you look at an overhead view of the park on Google Maps, you'll see there is a lot of space beyond the outfield, they add player parking and expand back there. The players won't be feet away from the locker room, but if done right it's going to be a very good place to play for 3 years.

I wonder how it would go if the as went deep in the playoffs or even to the world series while playing in that stadium. Surely mlb would not like only having 14k capacity at world series games
How about making Sutter Health Park into a proper MLB park by building a massive bleachers in RF accompanied with an overhanging upper deck ???? Fenway Park and Wrigley Field are both examples of ballparks that started out with essentially minor league seating capacities that have been expanded over time to MLB level. It might look a little awkward- but have you taken a look at Fenway Park ??? Over the course of baseball history we have seen many of the greatest ballparks have what we would consider bizarre and unconventional seating arrangements.
thanks for suggesting RUclips because you made me give some thought to this when I heard about it a few days ago I was like whatever but now you have made me think, these poor people in sacramento are being teased the worst way and will be disappointed at the end of the three years when they relocate to Vegas, what ridiculous planning and is intentional for something. What if the Oakland A's are selected to win the World Series while playing from this arena is the question. Is this stupid or no?
The other reason why Vegas is more likely than not is gambling. The MLB wants a foothold in Vegas for the gambling angle. The games may look like one of those sad old racetracks where all the punters are sitting in the lounges watching the other games on TV rather than what's going on on the field.
They're just gonna be called "Athletics" or the "A's" Sure there are "Sacramento Athletics" trademark listed by them but I guess it's there just in case the Vegas deal failed and Vivek buy the team
TM doesn't work like that. It's use it or lose it. You can't keep it on hand "just in case". Whether SAC shows up on broadcasts is one thing. But they'll have to put it on documents somewhere.
Well, the Sacremento Triple-A's may play there.. as far as offence... it's really not a heat thing... more humity and wind.. which direction does the wind come from? A minor league park does not shield the wind like an MLB stadium would. If the wind blows in, many balls that might go out won't and vice versa. Oh, there are balls hit that will go out no matter what... but I did an HS JV game with 7 HR's... the wind was blowing hard to the OF.. and anything up into the air blew a long ways. Wind will dictate more and I'm sure if wind blew in from CF in the coliseum, when Mt. Davis went up it was noticable too.
Of course they filed trademarks. That’s just common sense it doesn’t mean they’re using that form of the name. And why can’t they be The A’s or The Athletics in the standings? What prevents that?
I can't wait! Hot Summer night games than stroll over to Old Town in Hawaiin shirt-shorts and Birkenstocks with white knee-high socks with green and yellow stripes. Styling". And no parka necessary!

Everything I've read there is no city name included. I think this is for TV reasons. These are 'Athletics' games....not Sacramento's team, just the Athletics. I'm amazed Sacramento wouldn't demand their city name be included, but from everything I've seen...no city will be associated with the team.
I sincerely feel bad for the A's fans in Oakland and losing their team, but I believe that moving to Sacramento makes the most sense in many ways. Personally, I think it would be great if the A's would just stay in Sacramento and let Vegas possibly have an expansion team within a few years.
They are not going to be called the Sacramento A's. They're going to be the Athletics/A's with no city name. They do need to start games at night. A few years ago, I had season tickets to the River Cats and the heat was rough. Even the night games because it's still light out and that's the tough part with the sun beating down on you. If they could improve shading around the seating area it would be nice. Other than that it's a nice ballpark, nice area, you can walk to the game day or night, a lot of places to eat within walking distance, and a lot of ways to drive in and out of there. When the River Cats were the A's affiliate, they packed the place. They led all of the minor leagues in attendance. It dropped after the Giants became the affiliate so I think there are a lot of A's fans up here. I'm a Giants fan but I will be going to games, every MLB team is going to place in Sacramento over the next 3 years, that's unprecedented how can you pass up the opportunity to see that in a small ball park like this?

I used to live in Sacramento and went to games in this park when the A’s minor league affiliate played there. The summers there are absolutely brutal. 105-110 during the day. It MIGHT cool down to 90 in the evenings. It’s hell.
Did you ever do a video on sahlen field in buffalo a few years ago? I’d love to go back and watch. Keep up the great work
I have read they will not be called the Sacramento A's. The owner announced that they won't claim a city at all and will just be called the A's or Athletics. Then they will become the Las Vegas A's in 2028.
They did copyright the terms sacramento athletics and Sacramento A's
@@chiltownadventures7518 Interesting. I hadn't heard that. It makes sense though. Even if they don't go by that name I'm sure they don't want anyone else using it. A couple days ago MLB Trade Rumors reported that the A's owner announced they wouldn't wear a city name on their jerseys and just go by A's or Athletics for the next 3 seasons even when they play on the road though.
They will be called the Sacramento. A’s MLB requires a rule. If you look in the handbook that the city name needs to come first.
And remember that Sac is only 90 minutes away from Oakland (depending on traffic of course).
Two and a half hours from Reno.
Sacto will embrace this situation 1000%
I think they’ll be stuck in Sacramento for good.
Actually, this is the best outcome A's fans could hope for.
@@robahrr9919 Sacramento actually makes more sense than Vegas, as it is more of a centrally located between Oakland and Vegas.
Sacramento loves baseball it’ll be a packed stadium most nights I’m a giants fan n even I will go there sometimes to watch the opposing teams play the As since it’s down the street lol
The smaller foul territory is just as important as the warmer weather.
Sac will love the team, I predict that the As will stay there.
I sure hope so, everyone I talk to around here loves this
I kind of hope they DO STAY! And you better believe that people in VEGAS are hoping that as well.
@@user-zm4rw5bs3x As a former north bay resident and A’s fan who now lives in Vegas, we do want a MLB team but not that team lol. I’ve been to the former Raley field and I’ve had great memories on that lawn, the A’s will feel the energy because it won’t look so empty anymore. I just wish Vegas got a new team name and just give the A’s name to back to Oakland. Overall I’m excited for the people in Sac and I’m pretty sure the East Bay fans will make treks to go see the green and gold play
Love this move , mt Davis was terrible. They have to upgrade the visitor change rooms , lights, video board upgrade as part vivek statement. He said they will be adding more seating .
Great vids DG!
I mean it's better than the dump that they were playing at so it's definitely an upgrade.
Because Fisher will not spend the money to re brand for three years. He will hold off until they move to Vegas.
I’m becoming an A’s fan and will be attending every game 💯
Dude summer in Sacramento is like 92 degrees and 30 percent humidity. That is spring time in Florida, what are you talking about?
Well, both parks are indoors in Florida.
@@DebitAdams Not always, Marlins and Dolphins shared outdoor with no roof many years. Just never heard of Sacramento being that extreme, and it is not I looked up the averages.
@@DebitAdamsthat is because of the rain Florida gets in the summer. It rarely rains in Sacramento in the summer.
@smokey_gator_239 and their attendance sucked so bad they needed to build a stadium with a roof.
@kristoferscott3677 the heat is a factor too
Some of the complaints I've heard about are the player facilities and that's nonsense. The players won't be feet away from the locker room, but if done right it's going to be a very good place to play for 3 years.
i would become a A's fan if sac got them. i'd love to see them in my home city. sac deserves a mlb team. with the kings coming up and sales doing well i don't see why baseball wouldn't do well. its a big big baseball city.
Folks need to realize that Sacramento isn’t gonna get an Expansion Team
Sacramento can be really hot in the Summer. Oakland is always mild.
Please make a video on the new Fox college basketball postseason tournament
Don’t diss which was called raleys field when it opened. I was there day 1 helped pulled the tarp off the field and what a great park it is for AAA. The bowl is made in replica of the bowl of Yankee statium. It would be a even beautiful park if they build up
That is nice minor league park.
I wonder how it would go if the as went deep in the playoffs or even to the world series while playing in that stadium. Surely mlb would not like only having 14k capacity at world series games
Isn’t the Las Vegas move being questioned in the Nevada Supreme Court this Tuesday? What happens if the court rules in favor of the teachers union?
I actually really like the looks of the Sacramento stadium.
More stadiums should have lawn seating like at Blossom or SPAC.
The Triple A stadium in Salt Lake City DOES.
I think most of the spring training games do!
Never cared to watch River Cats, but I'll definitely come out for MLB to watch Yankees and Dodgers.
This would all be fun and all to go to if John Fisher wasnt involved.
thanks for suggesting RUclips because you made me give some thought to this when I heard about it a few days ago I was like whatever but now you have made me think, these poor people in sacramento are being teased the worst way and will be disappointed at the end of the three years when they relocate to Vegas, what ridiculous planning and is intentional for something.
All these folks boasting about "packing" 14k attendees in Sac like it's a good thing to get 14k fans per game when the MLB average was 29k in 2023.
They're just gonna be called "Athletics" or the "A's"
Sure there are "Sacramento Athletics" trademark listed by them but I guess it's there just in case the Vegas deal failed and Vivek buy the team
So do the River Cats suspend operation for 3 years?
Perfect fit for the A’s as they are basically a minor league team with a bush league owner.
I’m shocked you didn’t say they need to add a dome.
Not just a dome, but it needs a lot of natural light.
Or a stadium bar and entertainment district eventhough they are less than 1 mile from downtown Sacramento.
@@kristoferscott3677you mean replace their walls of seats with drinking rails lol
It will always be Raley Field to me.
It will take an hour to get out of the parking lot . Good luck.
Traffic clears out fast here.
Good thing locals know how to get to that stadium with out using the parking lot
I'll go down there and watch some games.
Of course they filed trademarks. That’s just common sense it doesn’t mean they’re using that form of the name. And why can’t they be The A’s or The Athletics in the standings? What prevents that?
Crazy question. Could the A's find a permanent home there? Are we talking adding 10,000 seats?
I can't wait! Hot Summer night games than stroll over to Old Town in Hawaiin shirt-shorts and Birkenstocks with white knee-high socks with green and yellow stripes. Styling". And no parka necessary!
They will NOT be branded the “Sacramento A”. They will simply be known as the A’s.
nice stadium
Look for multiple takeovers from opposing fans when they face in-state rival Giants, Dodgers, Angels, Padres and when iconic national teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, and Cubs come to Sacramento
Vegas Pauly C reported that Bally's, the corporation that is trying to say that all financial issues will be taken care of for the new A's stadium 🏟️ in Las Vegas, doesn't have 2 dimes to rub together!😄 I believe MLB in Las Vegas will never happen and the old Tropicana Casino should be sold to Marriot, Hyatt or MGM.
Everything I've read there is no city name included. I think this is for TV reasons. These are 'Athletics' games....not Sacramento's team, just the Athletics.
I'm amazed Sacramento wouldn't demand their city name be included, but from everything I've seen...no city will be associated with the team.
Looks good to me
Thank god the A's don't have to deal with that dump of a stadium anymore by the time they're finished in Oakland
Don't worry. After I get rich, I'm going to build the Athletics their very own stadium in Cheyenne and rename them to the Wyoming Roustabouts.
I sincerely feel bad for the A's fans in Oakland and losing their team, but I believe that moving to Sacramento makes the most sense in many ways. Personally, I think it would be great if the A's would just stay in Sacramento and let Vegas possibly have an expansion team within a few years.
Grass outfield is back, lets go!
I heard the team is just gonna be called the Athletics. No city or state
The American A's
Homeless Athletics
@@craigschneider1820 sounds about right.
Washington Football 🏈 Team 😂
Nothing dramatic, but I'd expect at least some temporary seating down the 1B line.
Saying K for 1000 and translucent roofs, that’s our guy
the future of mlb looks great
FOR A MINOR LEAGUE STADIUM IN SAC ITS NOT THAT BAD!!!! I'M SHOCKED 🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯
The new stadium outline looks better in my opinion
