Cervical spine Fracture - C4 C5 Dislocation | Complete recovery after ACDF surgery

- This 70 Year old Patient presented to us with history of accident and serious neck pain. His MRI and CT showed C45 bifacet dislocation with cervical spine spinal cord compression. He had weakness in both upper limbs and severe pain from going from Neck and radiating into legs. Despite of his age he underwent Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion i.e ACDF at Jaypee Hospital Noida by Dr Pramod Saini. After surgery he showed gradual improvement and at three months of follow-up Now he has completely recovered. He can now walk independently without any pain in neck.

It’s around 1 percent. If it’s happening more than three months after surgery then it has both to do with previous surgery
In discectomy surgery whether open or endoscopic we remove only damaged part and around 60-70 percent of disc is left behind. This can always recur. To reduce its incidence pt should loose weight and do excercise.
