You should make an acne product with the antixodiant silymarin which prevents oxidation of sebum which therefore prevents acne altogether at the very beginning of the acne cycle
I haven’t tried enough of your products yet but I’m loving your flawless moisturiser (niacinamide ). I’ve used many many different top brands but this is the perfect one for my skin. Thank you, the search is finally over 👍🏻🥰
Your brand of skin care has ceramides... Could you please suggest 2-3 more brands which have moisturizers with sunscreen having ceramides in ingredients. Would like to try 2-3 brands in different price range including yours and see what suits best
@@DrSamBunting could you recommend a product that is safe for people with sebboric dermatitis I know that there are a lot of things like oils and Shea butter, etc. things that feed the yeast. Could you tell me a safe product
Thanks for the info! In the winter I find the Pyunkang Yul Moisture Repair Cream helpful for my dry skin (which I have due to using Tretinoin). -and love your kitty! :D
Pyungkang yul intensive repair cream saved my skin too as I got a damaged skin barrier by using too many acne products. It has Ceramide as well as copper peptide.
Try Peaches skin care on RUclips. Try her all natural products, she's holistic and has 37 years of experience. Perhaps do a review on her line in the near future? Love your videos.
Coming into winter months in Australia i find it hard to keep up with my retin a use because of the cold working outside each night now doing more research into this il be adding dr jart ceramides cream over my retin a cream of a night only just opened a tube of dr jart ceramides cream allways thought it was to heavy on the skin tried it out the other night and was shocked how much more hydration and smooth my skin was in the morning a month of this will really have good results on my roseseca skin
Why is it some skincare brands targeted for sensitive skin don't contain ceramides? I have used Avene and now currently using Bioderma Sensibio Defensive moisturiser but they don't have ceramides. Is it because they think it's unnecessary? I feel like I'm missing out lol. Perhaps I should have bought a different moisturiser...
What Korean products are full of ceramides and good for sensitive, damaged skin? I have dry skin most of the year so hydration is important year round.
Flawless Moisturiser Light is such a great product, after having a break for 4 months I realized how much I missed it. And please please please never edit your cats out of your videos!
I recently started using tree .1% gel and switched out my cleanser, moisturizer, and toner to ceramics rich products. Ive been using the tret everyday since I got it a little over 2 weeks ago and have had very very little to almost no irritation. its true, ceramides are ESSENTIAL. I'll never get rid of them.
Hello Dr Sam , thank you very much for amazing videos. My question is we can use vitamin c with peptide and vitamin c with ceramids together ? for example in morning routine ?another question we can use peptide and ceramides with retinol in the night routine? Thank you for considering ❤
Hyaluronic acid is popular because of the marketing.. because of its higher molecular weight it really does not penetrate to the lower layers of skin.. actually glycerin is much better as a humectant because of the lower molecular weight and can go deeper than ha...it just lacks marketing.
Would you recommend using CeraVe lotion or cream as a face moisturizer, or is it only for the body? I've rosacea and CeraVe stings on my face, but not on body. Should I give it a try, or does it mean my face can't and won't tolerate it? I'm from USA and I noticed CeraVe has different ingredients here than in EU 😔 Also, do you recommend washing your face twice a day or once a day in case of rosacea?
I don’t know what Dr. Sam thinks but Dr Dray who is another great YT derm says you can use CeraVe body cream on face and viseversa. Actually CeraVe in USA has great ingredients so don’t be jealous of the EU version lol. If it burns you it could be due to its ph. Try Aveeno Calm+Restore. It’s great for rosacea and doesn’t burn my face. You should use a very gentle cleanser for rosacea. I like the Vanicream cleanser in U.S. wash at least at night. Day time washing opinions differ between different derms.
@@MAK0948 Thank you so much, great advice. I did try Vanicream gentle cleanser, but it is too drying for my face, I use La roche losay dermo cleanser now and it is more gentle (on my face), I will give the Aveeno a try. I did live in EU and was able to tolerate all CeraVe products there, not sure why US version doesn't agree with me. I wish the formulas would be same worldwide.
@@jani7th According to Dr. Dray (again lol) it could be because of the lower ph levels in CeraVe which is good for the skin in general but tends to burn on sensitive skins like Rosacea. I also like the Procure Rosacare lotion for day time. It has licorice extract which is good for redness and a green tint to cover redness a bit. Also Azelaic Acid is helpful. I use a prescription version but Paula’s Choice makes a good one I’ve used.
@@jani7th try La roche Ultra as moisturizer. When I had outbreak, even Cereve moisturizer and Vanicream moisturizer are not soothing enough. I use La Roche demo cleanser too.
Hi, Sam! Thanks for yet another great video! What are your thoughts on using a ceramide enriched toner, as I'm oily and acne prone (I'm currently using the Cezanne Skin Conditioner High Moist) I'm experimenting with skipping the moisturiser in the morning, as I'm seeing my skin being less oily as a result :)
What is essential is a healthy diet which gives your body all the nutrients it needs to build healthy skin and a healthy body. Far more important than what you apply to your skin. 😊
I have a very healthy died and still a damaged barrier when the central heating is turned on and cold wind etc. So no it’s not far more important, because if I didn’t apply the correct moisturiser my skin would be sore, red and flakey. I think a dermatologist knows a lot more than you.
@@jourdainjardin846 Firstly you don't know my background so you're making assumptions and 2nd I would always recommend a good moisturiser 👍 A humidifier would help in the winter months when your central heating is on.
💊 Ceramides are an essential ingredient for repairing and maintaining a healthy skin barrier. 💊 The skin's outermost layer, the epidermis, is like a wall with dead skin cells as bricks and ceramides as the mortar. 💊 Various factors like sun damage, aging, washing, acne, and rosacea can deplete ceramide levels. 💊 Lower ceramide levels can lead to skin issues like acne, dryness, and sensitivity. 💊 Ceramides are suitable for all skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin. 💊 Niacinamide in moisturizer can increase the production of ceramides in the skin. 💊 Ceramides should be present alongside humectants, occlusives, and emollients in a well-formulated moisturizer. 💊 If struggling with skin barrier issues, using products with ceramides can help make excellent progress.
I’ve been trying to repair my barrier for over a week after destroying it with Alumier MD actives, I’m so scared to go back onto my products, they cost me a fortune but now I worry they’re just doing me harm. I wish I could see you in clinic 😭
Ceramides hold skin together and form a protective layer to help prevent moisture loss and visible damage from environmental stressors.
... thanks but I watched the video
I love these ingredient based videos, they are super informative. And, cute kitty!
I'm so glad!❤️
Couldn’t agree more! I previously have had a routine that involved way too many ingredients. It’s a big no no ❌
