it sounds great, a bunch of negative neds in this comment thread. I played one, it has sparkle, nice verb and the attenuator is such a nice feature along with a treb, mid, and bass eq
I had this amp. It’s brilliant. If only it had a few more watts!
20 watt 2x10 would have been perfect
Is it auto bias?
The Sportsman sound a lot more like a Silverface Super Reverb (once you remove the horrible stock speaker). This Super Bee sounds so small.
I’m not really hearing super reverb out of this amp at all
I can’t wrap my head around how a single 12” amp is supposed to be a modern take on a four 10” amp. What sets the Super Reverb sound apart from other Fender black/silverface models *is* the full spacious projection of the 4x10 open back cab. A better “modern take” would just be a lower powered 4x10 amp. Put neo speakers in it if weight is the issue.
