North shore DR seems to blow out by 8am, every single day.

More like 10 or 11am during surf season (Sept-Mar) and a fair amount of glassy days as well. I surf about 28 days a month here and there are more hours of good surf per day than I have energy for!

@@RealSurfStories I had really atypical weather there in January a few years back. Tons of rain and wind for the three weeks I was there. I saw 3 or 4 days of beautiful surf and conditions on the north shore but it still blew out quick in the morning, well before noon. I'm used to a surf in the morning then take it easy, then surf again in the late afternoon. Just not possible on the north shore of DR.

@@michaelwertz6689 That defintely does happen here when storms get lined up like that. I can say that this year for example it has been a non-stop wave machine since the first week of September with epic conditions. 80 degree gin clear water 80 degree air and mostly sunny days. Correct, afternoons are windy on the daily. That is when we immerse our surfed-out bodies into an exotic, incomparable culture that makes the D.R. our favorite destination from September to March every year.

LOL. If you watch videos on my channel you will see that I use reggae, hip hop, bachata, merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, rock, punk, funk, ska, jazz, dembow, compas, motown, african, indian, and more. Is that open minded enough for you?
