@@Austin_SaintOnge trailblazer shift cable to 4l60e and modifying the shifter arm. There’s a specific measurement to make it too. All documented on ih8mud. Pretty easy.
Would really love to see a complete kit or at least sell parts list numbers as well. Lots of disappointment in the Jonesey video after numerous promises to show the difficult parts and then just left with nothing. I see the adapter, accessory bracket and motor mounts but nothing else. Great to see this build and wish you the best.
Absolutely- give me some time and I’ll try to put together a parts list for things that can be bought of the shelf. Otherwise the rest of the parts can be fabricated
Subscribed! Such a cool build. This kit looks very similar to the kit manufactured by Dustin Allmaras/Allmaras Machine/Duiser/Diesel Adapters. In the past, I know a lot of customers struggled to receive their kits after remitting payment to Allmaras. I hope the supplier of this kit has the logistics worked out. I know tons of Land Cruiser guys who would pay good money for a high quality, complete, FZJ80/6BT swap kit. Especially if the kit could be delivered reliably. Either way, badass truck.
Yes sir! You are correct it was put together by Dustin. It took a little coaxing but I got it all finally. Beings that I love about an hour away from him and was able to meet him and discuss- that may have helped. Thanks for subscribing! Plenty of more content to come!
Yessir, the people who seem to have the most success in receiving the complete kit are typically local to him. It’s a shame about the delivery issues. As I mentioned above, I think if he could deliver kits consistently, they would sell like crazy. Such a cool build!
@@williamvanshellenbeck8643 I agree- although in talking to him I can also understand the stress associated with operating such a boutique/unique kit and dealing with small issues on a daily basis. But yeah- I think there’s huge potential there
If you're ever in Nashville beers on me. I'm doing a 4bt in an old Ford at the moment. pretty easy swap in that truck. I also have an 80 series and would love a Cummins in it but am terrified at the complexity relative to the ol no wire 69 highboy.
That’s sick man! Not gonna lie- a 4bt was on my radar for my 80 for a while! Just mainly for the gas savings. But I wanted to go a little crazy with this build🙃 I love older fords! Those highboys are so classic looking! My dad had a 79 f250 when I was growing up! If I’m ever in Nashville I’ll hit you up!

Hey mate I’m interested in where I can get one of those air boxes iv also got a Cummins powered 80series in Australia. Would be much appreciated too hear back cheers
Awesome im excited to see this come together! So im guessing you will need a 1 inch body lift for the nv4500? I remember watching Jonesys, and they had a custom made plate to mount the stock 80 series transmisission, im not sure if it needed a body lift or not but im guessing the nv4500 transmission will be better suited to the 6bt compared to the stock 80 series transmission.
Me too! I got a great deal on the donor truck initially- but nothing could prepare me for the amount of time and money it’s requiring! That’s correct- the guy who made my kit was working with jonesys for a while. I’ll be going with a 1 inch body lift
@@Austin_SaintOnge is it Dustin previously from dieseladapters? If it is, he used to have a pretty neat solution to retain the auto. The auto is my least favorite part of my 80, but if it simplifies things greatly….
Fwiw, I have quotes for 3 swap options from reputable shops… 1HD swap is around $40k. Crate motor LS is about. $50k. R2.8 is $43k (but likely underpowered)

Dude you’re a legend! Thanks for noticing! I’m so stoked! Such big plans for this channel!
Can't wait till it's done. My LS swap ran me right around 7K doing all the work like yourself. Hope to see it running soon.
That’s sick! The 5.3? How’d you manage the shift points? Toyota transmission? I’d considered going ls before
