I dont know of a kit but have seen people do it. As a master tech for honda i can say with great certainty that it will only hurt the machine using a spin on. Of all the machines i see come in honda by a significant margin come in with less engine/transmission issues and they are the only major manufacturer that uses these style filters.. while a pain in the ass theres something to it that honda has figured out and the rest haven’t.
Next time just tap on the oil filter cover with s small dead blow hammer or the handle of a screwdriver that will break it loose. You don’t want to pry on the soft aluminum cover. Otherwise great video.

Thanks for an informative video. I'm fairly handy with a wrench but wanted to see it done before my first Talon service. Excellent job.
Very helpful video ! Thxs so much.
Best video out there!
I need to do this on my new Honda pioneer 1000-5. Thanks for sharing.

AMSOIL makes an 80/90, it’s what I use in my truck and what I used to use in my S2000
Question I've seen videos where they say to thread the oil dip stick in and yours to not so what is the correct way to check oil
Amsoil does make 80w-90 though, I used it. Part# AGLPK-EA
1st STEP that was omitted - CLEAN the surface areas around all the drain and fill locations thoroughly. Dirt is not your friend here. 🙂
pretty sure you mean inch pounds not foot pounds right?
When do you change the sub transmission oil?
No need for a magnet, it's not a polaris!
