Piastri being able to read Japanese is something i would've never thought of. Impressive!
Most Australian schools teach it.
Technically, he's just translating loan words written in katakana, and able to guess the word because it's based on English related to the topic.
@@walover165is true or sarcastic? Curious
@@M15Taka True. I also studied it at school, and most others I know. Some schools also offer German, or I have a friend who did Indonesian.
@@walover165He went to school in the UK
List of all the Japanese words re-written with our alphabet:
1. Doraibaa (Driver)
2. Reeshingukaa (Racing Car)
3. Kokkupitto (Cockpit)
4. Reeshinguherumetto (Racing Helmet)
5. Torofii (Trophy)
6. Waarudochanpion (World Champion)
Japanese words can't end in a consonant (except N) which is why there is often a "u" or "o" added at the end.
When in doubt, spam airhorn in the background
pisatri's skils
Well that is impressive.
にほんじん means Japanese person. Should be にほんご when referring to the language
Exactly! Haha, I was about to say 😄
First thing i said when i saw the title card haha
それな
Impressive Oscar, good luck at Suzuka this weekend 🎉🎉
I love pisastri. He is my favourite driver
It‘s just so cool to me that Oscar casually knows Japanese
GTA online mission ahh music
I love Oscar PISATRI
And his skils!
Should probably test the spelling skills of whoever uploaded the video
fix his name in the title
A day later.. they’re doing Oscar dirty!
These are all loan words meaning they are basically English with Japanese pronunciation. Still impressive how Oscar can read katakana though! It is the character set (45 characters) Japanese uses for phonetic sounds and loan words and its simplistic design make the characters a bit tricky to tell apart.
凄いじゃん!
I can't read japanese, but did you write sugoi? (I used translate and it says amazing)
I’m impressed 🧡
Far play, to our Piastri, he did realy well.
The Japanese language is hard, and reading the characters is so difficult - There are severel thousand different ones!
"TESTING Oscar Pisatri's Japanese skils" dont you mean "testing oscar piastri's japanese skills"
Well done mate 🍻
Oscar.
I got all of them 😎 Just saying. And it should say にほんご (Japanese) not にほんじん (Japanese person) in the title 🙂
oscar
Sack the production team 😅 There are a thousand ways this could have been more entertaining while still showcasing his skills! 😁
Pisatri
Ah yes, my favorite driver, Oscar Pisatri
He has Italian, Yugoslavian, Japanese, Indian, and Chinese heritage.
Sugoi!!
Sky can't even English in the video title so I don't know what chance they have with Japanese. Pisatri?
music too loud!
People know the sounds of Japanese words fairly well, but I was surprised that they understood how to read them.
è bravissimo!katakana è molto difficile per gli stranieri.lui è piu bravo dei miei studenti che frequenta il corso di giappone!レースもガンバレ!
Rachel is one gorgeous woman, AND she love F1
日本語上手
katakana borrowed words :)
Shoudl have asked at least a japanese person insted of google...
Rachel sitting on the beach looking like Aphrodite. 😍
osc osc
Oscar!
This is like when Sainz and Leclerc had a Japanese lesson for the Ferrari channel, but not fun.
dude it's the fact that they always make him do stuff like this alone - he's hilarious when doing stuff with Lando or the Prema guys. Why they insist on having him do these dry segments with people his parents' age idk.
@@RoseAshes-ev7qr Yeah, Piastri is doing his best but they gave him nothing to work with; the loan words aren't interesting, it's him looking a phone screen, and there's no sense of why any of this is happening.
Hey teacher! NIHONJIN of title is wrong. JAPANESE should trancelate to NIHONGO in this case.
What is this creepy music man
Still had no time to fix his name (PIASTRI) on the title? Or is this just a way for us to engage...? Either way, it's SAD... and I'm also dislexic btw...
not sure the point of this.. will there be one for china and other foreign races ...
He studied Japanese when he was younge3
Should have gotten Yuki to proof read your title. It should have been "know your Japanese /にほんご not にほんじん。the latter means Japanese person and former means Japanese language. Google translate let you down😅
