@richardcerritelli9657 it’s less cramped than a busa , handlebar risers and lower pegs are cheap and make the ZZR even better .

Thanks for the down to earth honest review about this legend of a motorcycle 👍. I'm lucky enough to have a deposit down on probably the last remaining 2020 Performance Sports and should be taking delivery soon. I was concerned that the new Busa would steel the ZZ-R's crown, which if we're honest it should have, but the King remains the King. Like you I'm not enamoured with the looks of the Busa, although I do think the new one is a slight improvement on the older Gens. Not only did Suzuki miss the mark in the power stakes, they also seem to have lost out on creating a viable long distance tourer by failing in the comfort stakes. Sure it has all the electronic bells and whistles but somehow they just remove any character. ZZ-R's will become sought after soon, long live the King!!

Hi Michael, hope you are keeping well. Thought you might be interested to know after just over a year of ownership of my Gen 3 Hayabusa I have moved it on...and replaced it with a 2013 ZZR1400. The ZZR is a better bike in every way (except for the lack of cruise control). Ultimately it was the long-distance comfort that sealed the fate of the 'Busa. Riding to Poole from Warwickshire meant stopping three times each way. The pegs are just set too high, and the wind-blast hits you straight in the face. On top of that the paintwork is too thin and shows wear after less than 3,000 miles. I did have the option to part-ex the 'Busa for a 2020 ZZR but went for the 2013 one as I also bought myself a Honda NC750X for commuting on.

@@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne It's great to hear from you after such a long time, I'm glad you're more happy with the ZZR1400, it's an awesome bike for sure. As for myself I'm not uploading much if at all to this old channel, I've created a new one @greywolf9292 featuring my collection of four bikes. I still have the ZZR along with KTM 890 Adventure R, a Triumph 900 Thunderbird Sport and my most recent purchase a Triumph Rocket 3 GT Triple Black.
The Rocket is an awesome bike and more comfortable than the ZZR but where it runs out of steam the ZZR is just starting to show it's metal. I took my son on his first ever pillion ride on the Rocket, his reaction at first blip of the throttle was "F'n Wow!!" A week later I took him on the ZZR to which his reaction was " Holy shit!!" 😂 I hope you're keeping well and that I can look forwards to more frequent comments and updates from yourself 👍😀

My brother has a Gen 1 R3. What a machine. My 17 year old son enjoyed the back of the Hayabusa for sure, and I am sure he will enjoy the back of the incoming ZZR1400 even more. I still have the room for one more bike and am considering a RE Classic 350. I quite like the duck-egg blue one...and cheap as chips as well...@@michaellilley6725

Can't find a bad review on these things. I too am a owner of a 2019. Best thing I've ever owned or ridden. I refuse to believe kawasaki will retire this beast. Even if it gets updated with a smaller yet more powerful supercharged engine. No other bike can do what this thing does. It is the fastest bike money can buy that has a passenger seat and gets over 400km to a tank of fuel. Nothing else really comes close.

I really enjoy having this video in my ZZR1400 / ZX14R playlist. Thank you for making it. I was watching it during my exercise bike routine just today. Speaking of your riding lines I'll say this - yours was a whole lot better than that cager in front of you at the 8:54 mark! Sheesh! I chuckled at your comments about the riding police. My philosophy is to always maintain a good margin. There are times when I will intentionally compress the margin (never, ever approaching zero), but only for short stints and I'm sure to be hyper-focused and aware when doing it.

So, I bought a 2017 FZ-10 with mods and only 41 miles on it a few months ago. I love it so far. One of my other loves is the 2012-up ZX-14R. We don't get the other versions here in the US. The things that kept me from really looking for one were the "high" rear sets and lower handlebars. Sounds like the rear set drop and risers makes it magically good. The other thing I really like on my FZ is the factory cruise control. The biggest negative to the FZ is that it likes to wheelie, and I'm not a wheelie rider guy at 49. You're correct, most all bikes corner well. It's the rider's ability that determines how fast it will go through them. I live in North Carolina, and our mountain roads are awesome.

Late coming across the video but agreed with everything you said about group rides. I’d love to find some biking buddies to ride with but the few times I’ve tagged along with younger riders they’ve all buggered off and left me in the dust. I’m a fairly sensible rider now after growing out of my silly phase on my GSX-R. If I’m riding with others I keep it pretty level headed, because I wouldn’t want to put others at risk by pushing them into riding beyond their comfort zone for the sake of keeping up with me.
Great bike btw, I’m looking at getting one myself soon! Hoping to get a test ride in the next week and go from there, absolutely stunning machines!

But then as you have done I rode a Gen 2, that was it I went and bought a special edition 2013 - power commander - two brothers exhaust and what a great bike power everywhere and as you said they handle really well (Gen1 included - I have owned several older GSX 1100 and a whole range of other older bikes back in the day they handle to a point and can get you into trouble like big tank slaps down the road ) - I don't think I will be replacing this one for a while (maybe ZX15)

just bought one the perfomance edition in dark metallic blue. on a 13 plate. what a machine so nimble and not that heavy. i.m less than nine stone. had a gsxr1000 k3 for nine years. surprised both feel around the same weight. going from the gixxer to the zzr is like going from a fiesta to a porsche . the accelaration is unexplanible. a fantastic machine. finish lets it down tho rode it once in rain on the motorway all the moild steel bits and bobs turned to rust not happy. still made up tho. oh well better look after licence number three.

Absolutely stunning bike, love the down to earth review. In regards to corners, yes, you can go fast around corners, however, it depends on the type of corners, long winding corners, perfect, however, short tight corners, due to the length and weight will not go around the corners as well as smaller and lighter bikes, however, let's face it, they were never designed too.
It is a powerful mile muncher, great for nipping to work into town or going long distances, especially at speed.
In my opinion, the best all around bike, its just a pity they stopped selling them in England..

True that! People will spend thousands of dollars to 'lighten' their rides, while being overweight. Why not lose some weight, which lightens the bike, for free. Plus you're doing yourself some good for your health.
