- Note: Medium difficulty is not designed that players won't get 1st place in Grand Prix mode. Even #1 time record holder in leaderboard never got 1st place!
Edit: That was a lie! TheRealCatGoneCrazy got 1st place. • Virtua Racing on Switc... - Игры
Virtua Racing is so insanely mesmerising to watch in motion.
SEGA needs to make a VR headset version of this and Daytona USA.
True
If you watch the behaviour and formation of the AI on Deluxe and Twin, you'll see a HUGE difference!

Quick Question; how can you complete Grand Prix on Medium/Bay Bridge when it has no pit stop??
Set steering setting "Arcade" and use thumbstick to control.
Smooth steering is less fading of tires.
However, still nobody can achieve 1st place because the enemy is too fast.
@@Kuid0us I just did it - twice. I'll upload a video later :)
@@Kuid0us Here it is! You got a shout-out too :) ruclips.net/video/N7w8LKpeCJ8/видео.html
@@CatGoneCrazy ah yes here it is
Bravo. Great driving.
You'll never be able to break records with the AT.
Yikes, that skybox. If I was a dev of this game, I would avoid tilting the camera if the skybox doesn't tilt with it. Either that or I would avoid putting land scenery in the skybox.
The original came out in 1992... Same year as super mario kart :) if they had any CPU cycles to spare, they would probably use it to extend the draw distance or something :)
@@janjohansson2567 I think the game looks amazing for 1992. The suggestions I made wouldn't have cost any extra CPU cycles.
@@lakojake4215 Indeed it looks amazing for 1992. But as you know the original had much shorter draw distance, the scenery on the skybox is needed to hide that slightly. And the way the camera is locked to the position of car makes me think they've either made some shortcuts that would make it difficult to tilt the car instead of the world, or, it would simply change the "feel" of the game - the tilting of the world looks pretty damn impressive by itself.) They made "local" scenery to cover most of the land in the skybox while in those leaning sections, so it's only visible when driving out out of them and the track straightens out. I'm pretty sure they considered different options and this is the least awkward. :)
@@janjohansson2567 internally the camera is simply tilts, but unlike modern "proper" skyboxes back then they were just scrolling background images rather than have an actual box used later. (funnily enough modern games have a system that functions more like the scrolling background layer, but with a bunch more math) This is why the background doesn't tilt with the camera, it's not really a skybox but just a scrolling background like you find in any scrolling game. And to not have the issue that you fly in space having a proper horizon make it feel much more grounded even if that gives some visual issues.
And the camera tilts because it make the game feel better, especially with the default cam which is pretty close to the car and makes the game be perceived as being much more dynamic.
Did you win in the second track too ?
I won!:
