My dad made me a corn cutter that you attach a drill to. My dad passed away this spring so when I do my corn this year I am sure my tears will be flowing.
Awe Peg, I'm sorry, xoxoxo
I have seen those , never tried it, bet it works great!
(Hugs)
That is so sweet. God bless you dear. 😢✝️❤️
Bless your heart. My mom is teaching me to can. She thanked me today for carrying on the tradition the women have had in our family for years. I'm so sorry about your daddy.
I'm from Iowa and we raise allot of corn! We use a electric knife to remove the corn from the cob, fast and easy.
We do too.
I love corn, especially that juicy corn milk inside each cob. I love this channel! Thank you for being YOU!
Thank you Beth, xoxoxo
mmm corn milk. and of course you have to nibble on the part of the cobb that the cutter missed.
thank you.. I love canning videos. Top notch I feel that kitchen's warmth
Thank you for your kindness, God Bless
I just enjoy watching the process. It relaxes me. 😊
I remember my Mom put her lids in hot water , Your corn looks so tender, you make it look easy Lori. I love your videos.I bet you have a beautiful garden right about now. I like to watch you can. Love ya,God bless, pray you and Mr Brown are doing well.

What a neat gadget to scrap the corn! 🌽🌽🌽
Misty Stidham Belcher LLC Wise County, VA check to see the if your town or city has an ACE hardware store. I found both the corn cutter in wood like Lori has and one in stainless steel. I absolutely love mine. Hope you find one. Mine was only $11
I just love you. You feel like “home.” Thank you sooo much for doing your videos.
Thank you for your kindness, xoxoxo
I love how Mr. Brown helps you and how you help and care for him. Such a beautiful relationship. You all share peace and love.
Wow, your corn looks delicious!
The best corn-getter-offer EVER is my hubby and his fish and game knife! But that thingie... he may like very much.
I know it ,we used a good knife for years, but I tried this thingy, and liked it!

I love the corn cutter. We freeze our corn and that would make it so much easier.
frozen corn seems to taste better than canned
Same one at Lehman's is like $13+ compared to Amazon near $26!
we freeze ours too but Im thinking of having some canned as well for back up.
@@rogerhuber3133 I love Lehman's! Love all their kitchen gadgets.
I sure would love to grocery shop in your pantry!
,hi miss Lori and Mr. Brown say the painting it's in a beautiful place with beautiful people. I love corn but cream corn is the best not the kind you buy but he kind you make. Be safe love and light

Thanks for the tip about the form cutter. Your corn is so pretty.
Now I know how to hear corn. Thanks a bunch. Have a wonderful week.
Heating the lids for over 100 years must have killed a lot of people! I'll continue that process. The corn looks wonderful.
Oh yum. That is going to be so good in the winter. Your hard work sure has paid off.
Thank you sweetie, love you, xoxoxo
Really takes me back to my childhood days, down on the farm in Louisiana, with my grandmother!
Lori, you make canning looks so easy. The canned corn is so pretty
It really is!
I love to can when I have time
But time is not on my side right now
But I'm still canning and putting food on the shelves
Thank you so much
God Bless, xoxoxo
What a nifty device Mrs. Lori. Always a pleasure to learn something new from you. God Bless.
That’s the kind of cutter I use for creamed corn. I love it. Surely makes the process faster than your knife. Love your show. I’ve never canned corn... always freeze.
I love your intro, each time there is something a little different
Those look soooooo good.
Another amazing food lesson from Ms Lori!
Thank you sweetie, xoxoxo
Very nice ideas, thanks for sharing! ❤️
I am so glad I found your channel, I love your your ability to teach people a lost art.
Thank you, xoxoxo
Enjoyed. Nothing better then good fresh corn during the winter. I used to put ours up in the freezer but am to ill anymore, I sure miss it. God bless you all.
Your episodes are so wonderful, I sit and watch and think of Mom and precious memories I have of us being in the garden, cooking and canning. Love and respect the teachings while they're here♥️

Hi Mrs Lori, Corn looks awesome. I'll have to check on getting the corn cutter, look easier than a knife.
Lori🌽 looks delicious thanks for sharing 😋❤️😘
Thank you its 1:30 am and I'm ready to fill jars and put in canner. Did 3rd batch of your peach perservestonight with some pickles, crockpot tomato paste. So I'll be eating and resting in a few minutes. Thank you God bless whew. No early bird for me in the morning.

Great job!
Got to love it..hugs blessings stay cool
Love you! Xoxoxo
Thanks so much. Super easy video!
They look pretty. 💕
In the past I have frozen corn, but have never canned it. I don't have corn in my garden, but I'm so excited because we actually got strawberries this year!!!
Oh good, our strawberries didnt do that good, xoxoxo
@@WhippoorwillHoller , I had asked you a question on your canning dry beans video, but I don't think you saw it.
I have 2. Love them
For the past several years I have been using an electric knife it works really good and fast
I just bought that corn cutter. I want to freeze some creamed corn this summer. Here in Michigan it's not quite ready yet. But, I'll be ready when it's in season. Thanks for the video, now I know what to do.
Looks so stinking good.
I found one of those a few yrs ago. it is a big help cutting large loads of corn. The only thing a person needs to watch for is to be sure the level of the knife just cuts the corn and doesn't take any of the cob in any way. it will make your corn taste cob.
bless you both. love your videos and thx for inviting us all into your lives.
Your so right, it will get deep, if you dont watch it!
Xoxoxo
Mr browns bibs always makes me smile. My grandpa always wore them.nice memories. .♡♡cheryl
Thank you so much for sharing 🌽I'm gonna try canning this year💞
Oh good! Xoxoxo
Thank you for this info ... I may need this!!
I love love love corn! I really wish I had a little space for a garden. Oh well, guess I’ll just buy it lol. Miss Lori I hope you and Mr Brown stay safe and be well. God bless! 🙏❤️ xo
Yes, find a good farmers market, it's so much better then store bought, xoxoxo
I want that spoon u r using!!! If need to get busy!!thank u!!
Please be careful!!!! I 'had' one. My hand slipped and i sliced my wrist. Oh what a mess. Had to get rid of all that was in my bucket. Lol My kids threw it away when hubby took me to ER room. Lol love watching you. I've learned so much. God Bless
Oh my! Ouch! Xoxoxo
Thumbs up from Texas. Thanks again for your videos . With this crazy world right now we better get to canning our food. I would have to go to the farmers market but they are cheap in Tx. and I can get home grown Plus our grocery stores run it on sale at good prices, never thought to buy a bunch up and can it. I have never canned( city slicker)but want to give a try, you make it look easy. All I have to do is put your video on and follow along.. lol
Yep, that will be fun, can with me! Xoxoxo
@@WhippoorwillHoller will do!
I’ve got 5 dozen ears to do!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
I love pickled corn on cob. Love it!!!
I dearly love that little tool! Your corn turned out well... love that bit of cream in it... even in "whole kernel".
My story:
I bought two of the corn cutters from the feed store years ago (one each for me and hubby). Only one got used (mine). Well in 2018 I had 4 bushels of corn that needed processing. Asked for help from Dave getting it off of the cobs. Introduced him to this cutter as alternative to a knife. Showed him (very slowly and in much detail) how to and how not to hold the corn while running it down the cutter. Okay, he was ready to help knock this corn out... second cut, he had his hand hanging off the end of the cob and severely cut the "fatty part" of his palm, on the "pinky side" opposite his thumb... cut it Deep, and bleeding like a stuck pig! Spurting blood everywhere! Wrapped him up in a dish towel and tore out to ER. 4 hours later, with multiple stitches on the inside and 6 or 8 on the outside, we got back home... with the corn waiting on me... needless to say, I had to take over ALL of the homestead chores, that required using his right hand, for the next couple of weeks... He's not allowed to "scrape" corn ever again. He's now the chief shucker and silker, and I handle the rest.
Silver lining... since it was only the second pass, he didn't ruin too much corn with his massive bleeding. And yes, I still have two corn cutters, one that I use and one in storage for later use.
I really enjoy your videos, every one of them.
Make it a Fun Day. ~Sharon~
Oh Sharron, I cant help but laugh!
I know its bot funny
But I was thinking about this while scrapping corn
I thought if I cut myself and ruin this corn, I'm going to be so mad!!! Xoxoxo
@@WhippoorwillHoller we do laugh about it now, while I tease him about going to such extremes to get out of helping with all of that corn. It's a lot of work invested by the time you get it to that stage just to ruin it by bloodying it up! :-) Be careful, 'cause it can happen.
Thank you Ms Lori!😊Regina
Thanks for the video. This is my first time trying to can corn and your video really helped. I found another corn cutter on Amazon that works amazingly. It's called the chef'n cob corn stripper. I couldn't believe how easily it stripped the cobs. I got through 30 ears in maybe 5 minutes
Thank you for showing us how you preserve your vegetables.😋😋
I have canned corn and frozen blanched corn for many years. The first time, as a new bride, 50 years ago I canned corn, filled the jars too full and some of the jars exploded all over the ceiling, walls, counters, floor and me. Glad you emphasized the 1 inch headspace for novice canners, it can be dangerous, trust me I know. However, now I blanch and freeze corn, 200-300 ears each August here in NE Pennsylvania. God bless you Lori, and you too Mr Brown.
Wow, that's alot of corn!
And I've never experienced a canner exploding!
That is scary!!
Thanks again. I watched you then canned up 9 pints. God bless you for sharing information.
Oh good!
I just want one!! ☝🏻🙈🐺
Thank you so much Ms. Lori! My husband and I were just talking about canning some corn. I want to do both whole and creamed corn. I just purchased one of those cutters. You just helped me so much by showing how to use it. Just got done last week with blackberry jam and tomato preserves. This year is going so fast. Thanks to you and Mr. Brown for keeping us Christ centered. Y’all mean more to me than you know. Such a blessings when I see you post a new video. Having a lot of health issues right now and y’all help me keep focused that all will be done on His time and with His plan. God bless you both. Sending much love from Texas.❤️
Hello Ms Lori I have recently came across your channel it's just the best thing ever you and Mr Brown are two of the sweetest kindest people that I have ever seen on here God bless you both. LAURA FROM MISSOURI

This video was helpful, thank you 😀
They look like jars of golden sunshine Ms. Lori. Hope you are all well. Love Mary from England.
Thank you Mary, we are fine
Things are crazy here
We just stay in our woods and Pray.
God Bless, xoxoxo
my son just brought us some corn so I'm going by your recipe to can it, .thanks for the info.. don't have many ears nor one of those do dads
I am really really hoping that i have enough corn this year to can. i love having it to add into dishes!
Many thanks!!
I love Corn but Creamed Corn is my idea of heaven.
Yes, we love it too James!
Love sweetcorn, nifty gadget you used. Must save your hands from aching. Thanks for sharing 👍😎 🌽🌽🌽🌽
Oh yummy! I could eat that whole bowl! No need to heat it 😊🥄
Just love corn
Thank you-very much
I canned some corn a few years ago and it all came out with a smoky flavor and nobody would eat it plain. I had to use it in my veggie soup and now im scared to waste any corn doing it again! Lol
I think it was peaches n cream or either silver queen. I have 2 other varieties this year and I'm thinking about trying one and not the other. Thanks for sharing!
I've seen that happen
I think as long as you put enough water, dont overload jars with corn,
I I personally think 55 minutes is too long for corn, changes the taste
Xoxoxo
I love watching your videos, thank you for howling how it’s done. I did corn yesterday for the 1st time, when done there wasn’t as much water in the jars does that mean it was absorbed, they all sealed and did the pop.
look so yummy
Thank you!
