OK folks for the people commenting on the MAGA 2024 written on the blackboard. I have located the source that is one of our guests playing a joke. We are open to people of all political persuasions and always open to civil discussion.
Dan you are so funny. I’m 85 and I also have 6 kids. I live alone and doing pretty good right now. I still ride a 2 wheel bike 4-5 miles every morning. I’m a caregiver to a 92 year old woman who lives down the street. Her body is shot, but her mind is still sharp. You are a wonderful son.
Wow. That’s wonderful that you’re helping your neighbor. I think it’s so common to have older caregivers especially husbands caring for wives or wives caring for husbands. I’m glad you’re in a physical shape that allows you to do that. Keep up the good work and thanks for the kind words.
When Ed said he probably won't live there forever, and Dan told him he can stay as long as he wanted, and Ed said oh well thank you 😂. My heart melted a bit. Dan you're delightfully tactful, and I can obviously see where you picked that up. Your whole family is awesome
Ed has such a wonderful personality & appreciates everything. " I'm glad I'm stuck with u " that's the sweetest thing..Dan it must be like groundhog day, ur patience is beautiful. ❤
I love checking in on you guys. I’m 75 and married for 54 years. My wife is of Italian decent. Her grandmather lived with us until her passing. She was 90 when she passed. She also suffered from dementia. My mother -in-law also lived with us until she was 90. She ended up being an amputee due to circulation issues so our dining room was her bedroom for many years. Our family takes care of ourselves as long as we’re able. I know what goes into caring for the elderly and the patience it requires. Particularly the impact on the family but still we wouldn’t have had it any other way. Famiglia! God bless and keep up the great work.
God bless all you wonderful caregivers. I lived with my beloved mother for last 5 years, but I have deep guilt and sadness because she fell while we were out on 2 Jan 2024 and broke her hip. She had dementia but we spent great times together until her fall tipped our world upside down. My beloved mother was my companion and purpose for living, but I miss her so much not being here. She died on 15 April 2024, just 3 months short of her 90th birthday, after a 4 and a half months struggle as her dementia got worse and she couldn't walk, and gave up in last 3 weeks. I am grieving terribly, but praying every day to the Lord for forgiveness and strength. God give you and your family strength to look after your beloved family xo Perth,Western Australia
Dan's very bright smile and happy face and Pop's cute convos with Dan lights up the mornings with a pretty much feel good factors❤God bless you all family! 💖
This man amazes me, no glasses looks like no hearing aids at 92!!!!!!!! He is absolutely amazing, i love my fix of Ed and Dan.. Sending love from Limerick, Ireland..
My father in law is 91 and still goes out ballroom dancing with his "ladies". He had to have his eye removed on one day, he was out dancing the next day😮
I’m growing very fond of dad. 😊 He seems like he has a sense of humor, or is it I just look for the joy? Seems to have a sheepish grin when talking about certain subjects…or is it he just wants us to wonder what he’s thinking about. Lol in any case, I hope he’s with us a long long time and his dementia stops progressing. I lost an aunt and uncle to that nasty disease and it was so heart breaking! Prayers for you and your family. 🙏 Give dad a big ole hug from one of his admirer’s…..Me. 🌹
I spotted Ed and Mark at Raley's, getting in their vehicle. Was thrilled to see Ed in person, but did not want to interrupt their day. ❤ Hope to run into him again sometime! 😊
What a lovely thing to hear from your Dad! “You’ve earned it!” My son wishes his Father would acknowledge that he’s doing ok. Something about Fathers and sons. 💙
