What an irony. Not trying to make it sound funny, but it wasn't lasers that caused this. You guys are responsible. You, Styropyro, build ridiculous laser bazookas, and use them in your house to burn stuff, William had his Retina Smelter 9000, been constantly using it also to burn shit, but in the end it wasn't the laser's fault, yet people still keep labeling them as dangerous and irresponsible.

Wow. My condolences. You do good work, man. It's always creative and funny and impressive. I have no advice of course, being a big platform on RUclips is by very definition a position that the vast majority people will never experience firsthand, and will not be able to truly empathize or honestly engage with. But I hope you find a way to deal with public responses while being true to yourself. If that's never reading comments, or leaving the platform in its entirety (hope not), or some form of compartmentalizing.. I'm wishing you the best.

Mine too, when I first watched this I got really sad, because I had watched him do so many colabs with so many youtubers in that house, and so many projects, and I feel sad that one second it is perfectly and totally fine and normal, and the next you are scrambling on what to save from the flames. I hope that All the negativity that comes from youtube doesn't deter you from bringing so much joy and happiness to the fanbase, but it is your life and your decision on what will make you happier and mentally healthier, and you wouldn't be the first youtuber to take a step back and try to restore some of their mental health, one I can think of is Buz (Probably wrong, super chicken guy) from TheAtlanticCraft who planned 3 years off, and that slowly turned into 7.
You know the thing that bothers me the most about this is that he lost everything. The amount of emotional pain he must have gone through is so much. So why cant he go to Disney with some money that was donated why can't he use that money to regain some happiness. Granted I know he didn't and I also respect that. But I also don't see any issues in using some of the money to make himself happy he deserves it.

House fires are traumatic whether you own or rent. My owned home lit up in 2016 and I’m still not recovered. I just watched your video today and I’m here to say you’re ok. Ive had a house fire and I dont think most people have the capacity to think like that. When you lose everything you'll hold onto anything. I still have some clothes that made it through my house fire that are still around. It's been nearly 5 years now

@@avarosetilly its definitely hard to deal with an it does take a toll. I feel like for most people its something you can get over in a few years so long as it wasnt to bad. No one died in the house fire my family had. Which makes it so much easier. We also had people to help support us through it making it easier as well. After all this timeout doesnt affect me in negative ways anymore. It can give you a positive aspect though. I learn to value the things I own more, and most my family and I were in the house which makes you realize you can die at any second. We were sleeping when it happened. You got to live your life like you're going to die soon in my opinion, because if you dont you may end up dying realizing you've wasted it

The only experience I personally have is one day in the like 5th grade, this girl showed up late to school, and when she got there she was covered in soot and she smelled like smoke and you could tell she had been crying. Her dad talked to the teacher, and the teacher explained her house caught on fire. I went to a SMALL school, like 50-60 a grade so I knew this girl decently well, and it took A LOT to get her down, but she had a really hard time that day

I know that it's been like a year and a half since this but the fact that he started by trying to make a joke out of it and that you can slowly hear the sadness overwelm his normally happy outward persona just really drove home how painful this was.

Yeah this video doesn’t exaggerate anything. I also live in Ventura and I can tell you so many stories just like his. I have friends who lost their houses, and their cars, and their stores/business in this fire. I was incredibly fortunate in the fact that I didn’t lose my house, but even just driving around in the aftermath, seeing the houses still smoldering and smoking, was enough to make me cry. It’s being really inspiring to see the community come together and try to put the city back together, and even though we’re still recovering, we’ve gotten through it by staying positive and helping each other, and I think that’s beautiful.

BIG TIP PLEASE READ. I'm not subscribed to you and have never seen your videos until today so I don't know if you know what I'm about to say. When you tell your insurance company what you lost go in to extreme detail. Don't just put a toaster, washer, or dryer. Put the EXACT MODEL of whatever it was you lost. If you don't specify they will give you the absolute, bare minimum, cheapest version of any product you list. I don't know or follow you but I am truly sorry this happened to you, I wish you best of luck with your gofundme.

I am in a situation where I lost my house due to a storm. Trust me, insurance does nothing. They want nothing more than to nickle-and-dime you all the way through and make sure they save as much money as possible. The 150k may help, but I doubt it will replace most of his possessions.

When you said “I’m going to cherish this fork” it hit me really hard. My house burned down back in 2007 which was also attached to my family business. It happened while we were away on vacation that weekend and the following Monday is when my parents were renewing the insurance on the building. Unfortunately it burned down Friday the 13th so we had no insurance at the time. It was a total loss but I found a fork in my driveway and I still have it to this day. Makes me cry whenever I see it. Good luck to you, it’s going to be hard for a while.
