Thanks for the comment. I was impressed with both parts and how they fit together and the simple installation on the Moto Guzzi. Aprilia used the same KYB fork tube ends on Caponord 1200. It makes sense both bikes are made in Italy and I'm sure the companies track each other's design. I have noticed much less road grime on the motor and other areas behind the tire.

Hello Gianni, yes, I agree. The fender is a nice addition to a V85 TT that keeps the rider and the bike from getting covered with dirt and water spraying. Maybe in the future Moto Guzzi would consider making the fender a standard feature on the V 85 models. I noticed that they put a lower fender on the new Stelvio V 100.
Yes, you're right. On the Stelvio MY 2023 the high fender has really disappeared (by the way: the yellow and gray one is so beautiful!)@@lifetimeadventures9107

I'd suggest that you order the Pyramid rear fender as well. It is pricey BUT it works well. Also, get a shock cover. It attaches with velcro, it comes in different sizes, easily removable, Amazon carries them. They are about $20 your shock will thank you. When I installed the front fender, I also got the extender in carbon, however, it was nearly impossible to clear the front tire. I'm not sure why, I tried adjusting it every way possible but it was waaaaay too close. I'm about to make a video of my bike, it has every accessory under the sun, lots of custom pieces and ideas for you to spend.....serious money, LOL

Thank you for the comment. So far, I have noticed much less road grime and stone hits on the engine and the surrounding areas. I have been on several dirt trails and roads since the installation, and I find myself not so concerned about getting into those muddy sections as there is not a huge mess to clean afterwards. I had some concern about mud getting stuck between the tire and the fender, but I have not been in really deep mud with the bike. I would want better tires to be able to clear deep mud sections. Check out the other video that I recently posted "Riding an Italian Adventure Bike". I go on some dirt roads in that video.
I thought about doing that as the upper fender does not protect well from flying debris off the tire. I’m not sure if I’d like it or not. Maybe I’ll try it. Thanks for your comment.
Sorry to hear about your loss. it is easy to install the rivets and I thought after saying never lost one it would be best to put them on. So far the fender works great.
Nice job. It’s the one thing (plus possible engine heat leg comfort due to living in southern Spain) that always put me off the bike. Thinking of trading in my 1200 Super Tenere for a V85 as I’m getting older and want less weight. Sat on one yesterday, same height as the Yamaha but the handlebar reach was better, so not sure if they were bar risers I saw on it or standard.
If you have concerns about engine heat, I did not find that to be an issue on the V 85. Riding any motorcycle in the very hot weather is going to provide some radiated heat onto your legs. The bar rises on the Moto Guzzi V85 are factory equipment. The wide bars and the setback of the risers provided an excellent position for sitting and standing while on dirt off-road tracks. I find the suspension to be more than adequate for moderate off-road terrain. The rear and front shocks are adjustable. If you wanted a more responsive suspension, there are products you can buy to improve suspension ability of the V 85. They make spring inserts and dampeners to replace the stock ones on the front and the rear shock can be replaced with upgraded aftermarket shock. I haven’t tried the new V1000 Stelvio yet, but I hear that it is an improved version of the V85. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed owning a Moto Guzzi. .

Yes, that could be an issue as there is not a lot of clearance for the tire. The fender is easy to remove if harsh conditions are encountered.. thanks for the observation.

It was my pleasure to show others useful options… I may have seen a plain black one in my searches but I wasn’t sure if it would fit properly. This one was proven to fit the KYB shock so that’s why I chose it.

I saw one where they put the fender extenders on,and removed the fender(beak) above it.The bike looked alot better imo.

I made the mistake of relying solely on the adhesive sticky pads. Lying in a ditch somewhere is my fender extender!

Be careful if you go in some deep sticky mud. Might get caked up and lock up your front wheel.
