I mean, this setup kindof seems like it's in a world of its own. It's 6k Adobe DNG RAW with a Super 35mm Sensor for $7k (with all four lenses). Not really sure what else is out there (for drone use) that compares both from a quality and price standpoint. Now, if you're on an X5S and it's like, "do a drop another 7 grand for a larger sensor, new color engine, and these lenses?" I think that's a decision you'd need to weigh on your own criteria. But for someone who is shooting on a lesser MFT sensor and wants better image quality but doesn't have tens-of-thousands to sink into a camera system and a new drone platform to carry it, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better fit.
I can almost handle the camera price tag even though I have purchased all the cinecore processing that is built inside the Inspire 2, The inspire 2 could already handle the 6k just needed a larger sensor so Dji built the gimbal with larger sensor and charging quite a price for it, the lenses seem very expensive... in Australia the camera and lens package is $11k but look you are right, there's is nothing like it elsewhere and dji have full control of this market so they can charge this...
hi any chance you can do a sharpness test, 100% crops from the air, love to see how the 16mm and 24 look..
wes smith full review will be published tomorrow.
brilliant, 95% sure I will make the upgrade, lenses seem pricy but if they are sharp I will make the jump
