Hey guys, I apologize about the video going on up on the wrong channel, I've been awake for 24 hours and it took me an hour to realize my mistake! I've been using 2 different computers to record and edit which has caused a bit of an issue lately. But I did some troubleshooting that hopefully prevents this problem in the future!

I’m actually surprised at how big a hit this was. I was honestly pretty skeptical at how receptive Dodgers fans would be to Hololive and how motivated Hololive fans would be about baseball.
And I was wrong. By everything I’ve seen, it was a resounding success.

It was surreal. Seeing how long the lines were for the hololive night tickets and how long the lines were for the collab merch. Hearing the whole stadium cheer after Gura, Pekora and Suisei say “It’s time for Dodger Baseball”, the whole stadium singing “Take me out to the ball game” with Gura (and just after her singing the Dodgers score the 4 runs that will not only put them in the lead but cause them to win the game) everybody cheering during the drone show at the end, AND NOW I’M LEARNING THAT THE SCORE OF THE GAME “8-5” CAN BE READ AS “YA-GO” IN JAPANESE???? I haven’t been to a baseball game since I was a kid but this was definitely the most memorable sporting event I’ve ever been to lol. And ngl, as long as it’s in driving distance, I will always go to these types of collabs from now on.

It’s so cool seeing how far Hololive and vtubing as a whole has come. As someone who was there at the start of it all, initially out of interest for the new technology, but who quickly found an immensely enjoyable community and entertaining talents, I truly can’t be more proud of everyone’s hard work and the amazing community. The look of peer joy on Yagoos face is something I feel deep in my soul. It truly has been an amazing journey and I’m so excited to see where it goes in the future.
I hope the talent actually were at the game.
I think it would be hard to do that as the stadium might not have the space and equipment (cmiiw) for the talents' avatars come to life. It might also compromise the safety of the talents imo but I'm glad that it seems like the audience receive the talents positively

I don't know about Pekora and Suisei but there's a good chance that Gura was actually at the stadium, but there's no way of knowing until she talks about it

As really big fan of Hololive and the Dodgers, I too was skeptical at first. But, it was blended well enough to make it fun for both fanbases. I think that even if you didn't get anything from the giftshop or couldn't, at least you made it out with promo cards which was cool. Maybe more merch and locations? I, also, think the Dodgers winning really added to the overall success and possible more nights in years to come. Trust me when I say Dodger fans, even if they themself don't get vtubers, would have Gura sing the 7th inning stretch every game if it meant the Dodgers won that game.
And suddenly, for some strange reason, baseball is popular again...

Some people were waiting in line for so long only for them to told it was sold out.

I love drone shows and fireworks, this one has made me tear up twice now. I don't know if it makes me sad I'll most likely never see it in person, or happy that other people get to experience it anyway.

The marketing team at Hololive is insane. Half the stuff they come up with is just unthinkable. Gura's collab with an Aquarium and this... plus a million other things I'm sure I don't know about.
I hate to be the turd in the punch bowl, but if you only waited 3 hours for merch you were one of the lucky ones. A lot of fans spent the entire night waiting in line and some of us didn't get get merch. It's disappointing cause I could see everything else but the merch line was fantastic, but getting stuck in line and missing the entire game soured mine and a lot of other fans' experience.
Not to be rude but frankly if you or anyone else stood in line for the length an entire game that's kind a on you guys, there's gotta be a point where you realize its better to just go sit down and enjoy the game
i have seen v-tubers on youtube like shylily and gura and im not super into it but this type of event seems fun, no propaganda, or identity politics, just fun for everyone! thats a future ill gladly get involved with.

My introduction to Gura was watching a bunch of scary monkeys chasing her down a hallway. Never did I think I would see a whole baseball stadium cheering for her. This is pretty wild to watch.
The amount of people who went there just because of hololive and not because of the game is insane.
3 hours if you got in early enough. I was there past midnight and there was still a line. A good portion of the line was cut off and told to go home too.
Imagine all the normal people at the game that didn’t know there was an event like this that night

I can't imagine what the actual baseball players were thinking during this event.
I do think this is a pretty big deal for Hololive as a whole, it's pretty awesome...but i can't help but feel that these 2 things don't quite mix, it's A BIT goofy mixing vtubers and big professional sports play (unless i'm wrong). Like the last thing I'd expect professional baseball to collab with would be ANIME and VTUBERS xD. But at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter haha, good for them!
Now if only Gura did a "LET'S GOOOO!" at some point with the same enthusiasm she did over that sad dog story. It's moments like that which can be amusing.
