Top 40 player and at least a Top 10 point guard all- time. He and Steve Nash are the best floor generals of the 2000s. It was such a joy to watch him for a long time. Congrats on the HOF nod, Kidd!

Over 120 triple doubles, retired 3rd all time in 3 point shots made (only curry made more as a PG), #2 in all time assist, #2 in all time steals, Has the most rebounds of any guard (PG/SG). 10x all star, 6x all NBA first team, 9 x all defensive team (only MJ and G payton have that many). Took the Nets back to back to the NBA finals in the east. Then he went to the west and won the NBA finals 2 years later. side note, Kidd could of went to the NBA finals 3 years in a row. However, you had a bad knee in game 7 against the pistons. The pistons went on to defeat the kobe and shaq lakers in 5. The east was strong back then. No eastern team today could have beat the Cave in 7 games and beat the Warriors in 5! Remember, Kobe and Shaq were better than Curry and Durant!

Underrated LEGEND
Kidd carried what had been a horrible Nets team to back to back Finals appearances as that team's only All Star. People forget also that Kidd hit the most clutch shots in both the 2011 Finals and WCF.
Kidd ranks 3rd all time in most consecutive years starting in the playoffs at 16 straight seasons, only Stockton and Malone had longer streaks at 18 consecutive seasons each.... But Stockton and Malone had each other that whole time, while Kidd did it with 4 different teams, and in the majority of those 16 seasons Kidd was his team's only All Star.
Only the Mavericks were a playoff team the season prior to Kidd being traded/signing there, and none of Kidd's former teams would make the playoffs following his departure.
You can't fully quantify Kidd's impact with stats, he was just a winner, and made everybody else much better.

Steve Nash = The best system passer
Rajon Rondo = The best and arguably the smartest "playmaker", he literally would make plays not in his coaches' playbook or system
Chris Paul = The most efficient point guard
John Stockton = The most adaptable and fundamentally sound point guard ever to play, one can even say he's the tim duncan of point guards
Lebron James = ( just for being the point guard for one season) The most versatile and most unselfish on both ends of the court
Not including scorers like steph or AI or even Isaiah Thomas (both I.T)
These are just the best passers in my opinion. What's your list guys?
