This song encapsulates the singular Perfection that was the original foursome of Cadogan Jenkins Salazar and Hargreaves. A sound that can never be duplicated by any others. got used to band members being mixed up with the music that they didn't write over the years when it comes to Third Eye Blind and whatever that's fine. But with this I find it offensive that a photo of Friedinenlli was posted with this ....of all songs! This was Cadogan at his finest.
I'd say with Fredianelli they still had that unmistakable, unique Third Eye Blind sound, and then after Ursa Major it can'tn even be considered proper Third Eye Blind.
here's an idea. COMPROMISE. who has the bigger ego? suck it up and get back together. jenkins easily replaced you. however the voice ya'll are using now.... smh
I have listened to the crappy live version forever and loved it and just wished there was a better recording. This isn't a full studio quality sound but this definitely is better than what I had and is pretty close to how I imagine 3eb would record it. LOVE THIS SONG. It really is a pity they never did an album version of this song. Thank you for this !
I like that line from Metric, "They were right when they said we should never meet our heroes." I suspect Stephen Jenkins is narcissistic, but his music is great and does manage to reach great depths in his music. But it seems like his personal relationships are rocky...
I'm the one for you Cuz I know all the dirty things You like to do I'm the fear in your eyes I'm the fire in your thighs I'm the sound that's buzzing round your head From thanks a lot...fav lyrics/song
This is true genius right here. I wish Third Eye Blind was still like this. Their new EP has easily some of their worst work ever recorded. I love Company of Strangers and Weightless, but the rest isn't that great. You can see Stephan's lyric genius is fading fast too. 1999: "On the phone ringing, it echoes in my home. See all my friends in a crowd of you. Tell me why I'm so God damned alone." 2016: "Take it from me, I'm super fucking white." I get after 20 years the creativity will always be unable to surpass their best work, but wow some of their new music just sucks.
Talk about one of the most complex and beautiful guitar intros of all time
It's a shame this was never released, it's an amazing song and shows the brilliance of the original lineup.

Nothing quite like the original lineup this song could easily be the best song on any album after the third album no problem
Definitely one of their better songs! A shame it was never included on an album.
The solo that got away. ❤️
