I would highly recommend replacing the plastic intake manifold. Weistec has aluminum replacements. So I’m looking at the Aston Martin vantage that has the m177 or a s63 amg. So I want to get an idea on what to take care of before doing full engine rebuid. Doing forged piston, rods, aluminum intake manifold. Upgraded turbo kit and down pipes. But want to replace all seals and main failure points first while engine is out

The M112/M113 and even the M113K are all PROVEN 500,000+ mile engines. The M113k needs to have it's supercharger maintained sure, but they are all just so overbuilt. You can't kill them. When I got my first CLK 55 AMG with it's M113 under the hood, it blew my mind how simple it actually was. The Valve Cover breather boxes need resealed every now and again but that's really it. Having two-spark plugs per cylinder and adding a ton of compression is like magic.

My 2017 (at 51,000 KM) recently started belt squeaking during startups, the squeak gets softer and eventually stops after around 10mins of idling or temps reach around 40-60celcius. Any helpers please.
There is also a tiny bit of tick tick, searched it online and apparently that is usually from the purgers and is normal mechanically.
    Thanks!

Another apparently common problem: camshaft adjusters and camshaft position sensors leaking oil through the electrical connectors. Oil seeps through the wiring harness over time eventually getting to the computer etc. Just checked my camshaft position sensor connector (50k miles) and there's a little puddle of oil in it and oil on the connector.

I've worked on Mercedes-Benz vehicles for 23 years. I worked at the dealer from 2001-2010. These newer V8s are junk compared to m119/m113/m273. No more 63 anything for me. Even the m113k is starting to show it's age with the o-rings disintegrating behind the front timing cover causing oil and coolant to mix and o-rings failing down by the oil pump causing starvation. 20+ hours for motor mounts? Reminds me of the w220 S65 labor times. Plastic Intake manifolds is giving off bmw vibes. I do not recommend any mercedes newer than 2011.
