this vocalist truly is a beast; doens't spend half of the gig asking for the crowd to sing instead of him, powerful voice, i wish all gigs could be like this one
Unfortunatly he is an exception, not easy to sing on this level and maintain the energy on a concert until the end. He is a true badass.
You kidding, right? I mean, i love Sam, but he's squeezing even at the beginning of this vid, and his voice is absolutely dead at the end of the show. Whatever he's doing here with his voice it is not healthy.
I guess that's the reason why he lost it on the new album and concerts

An 8 year old show with a set list of songs a little bit older and I STILL get massive goosebumps and chills down my spine whenever I watch this and pretty much every other live full set videos and hear these songs.
Killswitch Engage is the only other band who does that to me and it's f'n amazing! On top of that I get unf*ckingbelievably inspired and motivated to sing and beat the sh*t out of my drums.
shows you how incredible Architects is. They became my favorite band to this day back in 2014 and i was lucky to see them with Tom in 2014 in San Diego opening for The Ghost Inside. saw them again in 2018, and im waiting till they come back to California.... been 5 years.. wow
this setlist is absurdly good
I should have appreciated it more back then when I saw them twice 2015/2016.. Never hear songs from LFLT and mby just Nihilist / Gone With the Wind from All Our Gods. Man this era of this band was truly legendary

+Duff The duff Sam sounds just excellent, considering his consistency and amount of touring
+Jason Hamm cubbing the mike blocks the mikes proximity effect and thins out the tone, it will also pick up much more noise and feedback. it has nothing to with him touring its simple physics and many vocalists not knowing how a mike works.

And if you listen to the record closely, you can tell that he records his highs and his lows for certain parts.

Sam literally gets better with every performance it seems. I can't listen to their earlier live videos, as much as I love the band, this is absolutely phenomenal. Best live performance I've heard from any metal core band by a long shot. I want to see them live so badly. Not to mention they played ALL of my favorites. Sam is my idol.

I remember me wondering about the title "C.A.N.C.E.R." and what inspired them about the lyrics. Thought of maybe a grandparent passed away or something like that... now it really makes sense to me.

Actually, he wrote this song as he beat cancer and was diagnosed clear, but then, as we all know, it make a comeback, and got our Tom

i think they record a certain ammount of direct signal and some of the sound comes from microphones. you can probably just dont hear the people.
You know some of my favorite bands I see live, I sometimes have to worry about them playing songs/albums I don't like. But with Architects.. I literally love everything.
Sam's vocals are amazing live too. This band is so talented.

Sam has the best yelling vocals by far. There is no one who comes close. Oli Sykes used to but he can't do it near as well live.
Spencer Chamberlain, Check out Underoath's last album, especially the song In completetion, but i'd agree that Sam and Spencer are the best.
I love Sam but he doesn't have anything on Jerry Bolm of Touche Amore and Jordan Dreyer of La Dispute
