Three Mizzou fans were walking through a forest when they came to the bank of a river. They sat down and puzzled for hours, but couldn't figure out how they could get to the other side. Then one of them found an old bottle and opened it. Out came a genie, who said "Thank you for releasing me! I'll give each of you one wish." The Mizzou fans discussed what they should wish for. "If we wish to be smarter, maybe we can figure out how to cross the river!" one of them said. He went to the genie. "I wish I were a thousand times smarter!" He immediately turned into a KU fan, jumped into the river, and swam across. "I wish I were TEN thousand times smarter! the second fan said. He turned into an Iowa State fan, found a log, jumped on it, and paddled across the river. The third fan said "I wish I were a million billion TRILLION times smarter! He turned into a K-State fan and walked across the bridge that had been there all along!
I'll eat my crow. Both teams played their hearts out. Incredible kick. Both teams had moments of ass and moments of greatness, but y'all stopped us in the red zone at the most important moment, when it mattered, when that defense had to have been exhausted. And then the thiccest kiccer in cfb put all his massive thighs into drilling a super human kick. Pound your chests Tigers. You earned it. Also, fuck you. Hope we play again before too long.

Tigers cant keep up with KSU, take the cover by the Wildcats, EZ MONEY, comeback and yell at me if Tigers win, but but but I want praise when the Cats easily cover, good luck friends
Mr Pate, its great to hear national media talk Mizzou ball. And yes absolutely its Drinks biggest game. Its year 4, against an old foe program w/ a coach that was hired a year before him. Not only is this a measuring stick game for this team but its also a shot at redemption from last year. My only issue is that to win this game, Drink has to find aggressiveness that hasn't existed in CoMo since the 2020 LSU win (the first of Drinks two Top 25 wins, the other being the aforementionedSC win from last year). Drink gets ahead in games and goes into his shell hoping the clock runs out. He punts on 4th and inches against MTSU up 13. Ill be flat honest he appppears to coach scared. KState fans are thinking this'll be a blowout like last year, I believe its closer. I still got KState winning by 10 or so.
@johnberger8817 as a Mizzou fan, they had not given any indication that they could actually pull the upset. There was really nowhere in 2 games against lesser opponents that showed me "Oh yeah, this team can go blow for blow w/ a team like K-State." I can gladly admit I was wrong, but to sit here and say based off of South Dakota and MTSU, that MU had enough firepower to fell a top 15 team, then you're lying to yourself. Not to mention for Drink, there was plenty of imperial data that said he would/could stick to his ultra conservative nature that has/had been his calling card for going on 2 years. My prediction wasn't just based on a whim, there was legit evidence for the contrary.
@@shawnkurtz4424 No indication? Most amount of returning production? A team that was 3 bad calls away from being 9-3 last year. This team more talented & better than last yr, with an OC. Beating UGA for 56mins last year. No indication? You were just wrong.
@johnberger8817 and we were also 3 plays from being 4-8. If you go into every game w/ the mindset of it being a rock fight, then you're going to lose some if you're not perfect or lucky (thats been the case more often than not. Auburn, Kentucky, Georgia last year. Boston College in 2021). They were not perfect last week against MTSU and barely won 23-19 and very easily could have lost. I could only base my opinion on the imperial data we received from two games played this year. The eye in the sky never lies, and through two games, it was more of the same conservative play calling (just as it had been in years past). An offense whose line, while possibly improved, still had too many penalties. A rushing attack that has averaged 2.8 yards per carry against an FCS team and G5 team. A coach who was once again asking his defense to not only play play lights out but also be perfect every snap b/c the offensive struggles to move the ball against FCS South Dakota and Middle Tennessee (the same defense a bad Alabama [especially compared to previous Bama teams] team hung 56 on, and if you disagree go watch that USF game from last night). It's not guess work, they where 2-0, but there were many places you could look at and point to where opposing teams could exploit. For example, simple protection on the PAT/FG team, they continously let free rushers of the edge (MTSU almost blocked on of the edge, and they did block a PAT up the middle) SEC teams w/ even faster athletes will see that and go after it I guarantee it. You want to call me out and say I'm flat wrong, and I have no idea what I'm talking about. Go rewatch those first two games again and tell me I didn't have a point, we had struggled againdt lower competition, while at the same time K-State did what a top 25 team is supposed to do and hung 40+ on inferior competition. It's not rocket science, and guess what score predictions are a hypothesis you create from evidence you gather. Sometimes they're right, and sometimes they're wrong.
Regardless, Missouri still owns the series. Yes, I think K-State will win. There are still a lot of questions on the Missouri side. The defense looks like they did last year. The offense appeared to be handled by Coach D during the second half against MTSU. In short, Drinkwitz will need to back off and let Coach Moore do his thing.
Another game that College GameDay should've gone to. No shade against Colorado, they are doing amazing things and proving a lot of people wrong, including me, but playing a non-ranked G5 school shouldn't be CG worthy. Especially if your favored by 23 points.
K-state is a better team than Missouri and they have a much better coach... but, I don't see Missouri letting k-state come into Columbia and beating them after last year's match up in the rain... Unless it rains (hard) in Columbia. 17-10 Mizzou
This is the same team that went toe to toe with Georgia. Your prediction isn’t far off. However, I won’t be surprised if Kansas state wins by two or three touchdowns
Mizzou's downfall is simply the coaching. Klieman is a great coach, Dinkitz is a terrible coach. That's the difference right there. Switch coaches and MU would win, but not as is.
Mizzou fan here. If Mizzou falls behind, don't expect them to catch up. The QB play is abysmal and has been since Drew Lock left. The lower the scoring game, the better chance we have.
Hopefully you don't get recognized there after picking KSU. The fans in Columbia have a reputation for being unfriendly and even aggressive towards fans of their opponents. The best thing that ever happened to the Big 12 was when Misery left. Go Cats!
Big mistake to go to Mizzou. They barely beat MTSU at home. Luther Burden isn't that good, but has been somewhat productive because Drink has to cater to him. I don't expect him to be much of a factor against good teams. I'm taking KSU by at least two TDs if not more.
Burden is NFL talent at WR, but Drinkwitz hasn't put much around that to form a high performing offense. If its all Burden on Saturday, Kstate wins going away. It'll take a team effort to take down Kstate. I'm just not sure if MU has the QB efficiency and balanced ground game to get the job done. It'll be a great game. Emaw.
@@brianbookwalter6810 so burden is an NFL talent or isn’t that good? You’ve said both. Feels like a 27-17 KSU win. MU is just so poor at the most important position in sports, QB, so I don’t know if we can score enough to keep.
@PRichards1981 I'm the one that stated Burden is not good. Sure, he is the best Mizzou has, but he is far from some special talent. Most of his "catches" are behind the line of scrimmage. Its obvious Drink is trying to force feed him the ball by giving him essentially run plays he can count as receiving yards. Even then, he isn't that electric as a scat type receiver. As far as a downfield threat...well, he isn't one. And when Mizzou plays team's with a pulse that can cut out that stuff around the LOS, than he is essentially a non-factor.
@tjsokkerplayer He was the #1 player in the country coming into college last year, and everyone talks about how special he is. Is everyone else wrong, or are you wrong? Have some humility. The reason Burden hasn't been an even bigger threat downfield is because the starting QB doesn't have much of an arm. Luther has proven to be a playmaker on numerous occasions.
