Yes, there was a timing update at the start of July. It pauses when the cutscene loads and fades out, not when they are actually playing. There's more info available on the leaderboards page.
You should consider adding "World Record" To the title. There is a 9 months old video on RUclips with "World Record" in the title, and it gets a lot of views. And I think a lot of people will think that is the world record. Anyway, congratulations on the new world record!!

the run had no major mistakes at all, this will be hard to beat
unless they find new tricks yeah almost impossible to beat, many moved on to different games after this record.
