Well done Locky brilliant video showing people how hard it is to breakdown a low block. However Leeds did break it about 3-4 times but we did not, as Locky points out, finish off the move with a goal. That was also with Farke only having a very small number to work with. As you point out Locky this week I’d different and you and I expect Leeds to win against Cardiff
Great insight again. Learning a lot about how space is created and how to drag defenders out of position. I always thought Leeds could benefit from more use of the cross-field diagonal passes, but here you've shown how it can be done with positioning, movement and short passing. Cheers Locky MOT
Brilliant analysis, hit the nail on the head. All these player decisions, I fear they won’t learn how to break it down in the ways you explains because DF thinks all is rosy,
Great video mate. Seems like a player like Tanaka or Rothwell would be a lot more effective than Gruev when trying to break down the low block. Speed of decision making is key for all of our players.
Great topic. Your discussion is essentially about social intelligence as applied in a team sport. An effective player understands space, time, the rules of the game, his own capabilities, and can anticipate the behavior of his teammates, the opposition, and the officials in real time. The football skill set is difficult to master. Add it all up and it is a difficult game and goals are dear. at best. Some of this is teachable, but I am not sure the clinical trait is.
We have the squad to be able to shake it up if a low block is too effective against us. Need alternative tactics to be introduced early enough in games.
I will keep it, KISS. 1. Our striker is dropping into too deep. 2. Our winger who are inverting are starting narrow and sliding into the same space as the striker. 3. The midfield is too deep, which see them within 10 yards of the CB's, meaning it take 5 player to mark 8 of our players out of the game. 4. We take the backward pass option 8 out of 10 times.
It's simple! Sack the manager and get someone who knows what he's doing! But as we have the " Bates2 boys" running the shit show, it won't happen. 49's is the name, do it on the cheap is the game!
It's not simple though. Name me one Championship side that consistently breaks down teams that sit deep? At this level it is very difficult because the players are not as technically proficient as a top league
Not much point telling us how to overcome a Low Block, I appreciate the effort, but we have to pass this information onto the players and the manager, or all of your analysis is fruitless.....

Cracking breakdown Locky 👏🏻 still far too early to panic. Need to start seeing Tanaka
Seriously good video Ben
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
good analysis , i would add that tanaka instead of gruev would be key as he looks a faster thinker and mover .
Gruev has been better than ampadu this season confortably
Lock-in any chance you can work for LUFC? Farke needs you 😀

Overloads and 1v1/2v1
Our our players intelligent enough to learn this? We shall see, because many teams will play a low block against Leeds.
We need to STOP trying to walk the ball into the net
