Live aus Berlin is the first live release by Rammstein. The CD was released on 30 August 1999, the VHS followed on 14 September 1999 and the DVD on 29 November 1999.

Here's how good this song is to me: I was 16 in the year 2000, and back then I had a girlfriend who loved Rammstein as much as I did. This was OUR song. The first time we listened to it together, I had invited her over to my place (well, my parents' place) to watch the entire show on the original "Live Aus Berlin" VHS cassette. I traded it from one of my friends, and t had to cough up alot to get him to accept the trade. My girlfriend and I were both going to watch it for the first time, as she made me promise to wait to watch it with her. We watched it alone together, just her and I on the couch and in the dark. When the Seemann song started, we spontaneously started kissing and cuddling. She spent the rest of the show with her head against my chest and her arms around me. This was one of the best evening of my life. Unfortunately, shortly after that, she broke up with me over a stupid mistake I did ( I kissed another girl at school), for which I never forgave myself. I took this breakup very hard and to this day, I cannot listen to this song without reminescing about all of this, about what would've been if I had not been stupid, and it still pains me. Yet, despite how my teenage stupidity soured my experience of this song, I always come back here to listen to it. This is how good this song is.
If it happened like 10 years later i could be that girl (with some tiny differences in the story but still - it reminds me so much what happened with me and my beloved one then).
Man, I have near the same story, bro. I really understand how stupid it is :( And I cannot forgive myself for that after years.

They still do this. They changed a few things to make it safer though, more stable boats. Flake was injured a few times falling out of the boat before

No no no... This translation have several errors. Starting with Mutter/mother. The German word for mother is MUTTI, father is VAATI.
Now then for the end when he says so cold... That's not what he's saying either... Not entirely.
Talt is not cold. Kalt is cold. Talt is similar to "right?" as in affirmation of what was said... Example being: I'm stupid right?
At the end he is alternating 'talt' and 'kalt'. So a better translation for that would be "The greatest sailor was me.. right?" "Cold" "right?"
Talt can also be used sarcastically, which I think is the intention.
I'm German and Hungarian... I know my German from Rammstein and my mother.
It's okay, common mistakes in translation easily remedied by actually researching.
