25:00 Yes. That has to be said about industrial food! Filling but not nutritious.

If we're talking about an immediate solution. I had a few ideas.
    1. Improve food and milk preservation. It's good when you don't need refrigeration. And even better if a regular person can make these items easily at home.
    2. Understand the best crops for specific environments. Obviously, we're seeing the most Food Insecurity in places that don't get a lot of rainfall.

I've 2, b-fed each kid for 2.5 yrs and they've paid for educations plus I was a stay at home mom, women should have at least ate teen mths between pregnancies and we don't even know that!

This food system as it sabotage human development at individual level is a time boom, it will of course remain silent for a very long time but one day it will trigger step by step as it propel forward with no going back, offering no solution in site. Normally people as they get malnutrition for a very long time, they become irrational and cant be reason with, also they tend to be more violent. that is why a poor thief will probably kill you during robbery with violence in comparison to a smarter one who isn't that poor.
The suffering pioneered by food prices is programming humans society in ways we cant see clearly but its real. If you want to see that more clearly pick one person and alleged he stole from you, your audience must be one group all rich and the other group all poor. see reaction of how the thief will get treated as

The most significant issue currently is genocidal war in Palestine. Really, this videos premise of increasing food insecurity is about politics, not about food supply.
However! Kong term, it must be a combination of local, sustainable agriculture (yes, food forest!), Reduced needless consumption and education based population control

Having not enough to eat at 300 million people is one thing, the other is you can have very little resource that just cover food and you have enough to eat but left with no income to cover other needs like decent houses, good medicine, high education, nice clothing's, family raising, transportation to work among leisure to entertainment. So how many people are under this second dimension of having enough to eat and that is it. people can have enough to eat as per UN standard but violence trigger by not having enough will be ever present.
Humanity isn't about just having enough to eat but other variable in whole basic need spectrum, yes having enough food as a species would in normal case have food cheap enough to people end up with surplus income after food purchases, that surplus is therefore meant to cover other human needs. Looking at food is more than food itself, as other needs and desire come interplay as significant as not having enough to eat.

  • @freeheeler09

As human populations grow beyond carrying capacity in Gaza, Haiti, Sudan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, England, China, Holland, India, etc, conflict and hunger will only increase. We are seeing a rise in food, water, energy, and other resource shortages, and thus we are seeing a rise in conflict. Concurrently, pollution, environmental degradation, overdrawing of aquifers, depletion of soils, paving of farmland, etc. are colliding with rapid increases in food and fertilizer costs. And all of these problems are being worsened by the climate crisis. Rich, food insecure countries like England, China and Singapore weather afford higher food prices. Haiti, Cuba and Congo cannot. Solutions are to institute family planning and stop immigration to regions like North America, China, India and Europe. These regions are driving the climate crisis. And we need to institute family planning in regions like Gaza and Haiti that only produce a tiny fraction of the food that they need, yet are still increasing in population.

The wide spread of conflict is pure business for the 5 permanent member states of the UN because they own the biggest global manufacturing industries of armory weapons. So, who is discussing famine while ignoring the primary cause of these conflicts?

Also plan exotic and natural towns and cities with the free food and the loved and appreciated animals to move around freely. Do not conserve carnivores. They will eat you. Protect the herbivore not exploité like you are food labour yourselves. Grow nuts don't molest cows, Good karma comes from respecting all beings and learning to live in harmony with nature and all beings. You can't eat money but you can't eat without it. That's not how the earth should be. Fragrant shady and moist. Filled with all kinds of life with a purpose in that natural world. It's better than famine and slavery.

If we allow cows to breed freely, they will either stage or we will run out of land to grow our own food.
We must have less animal dependent agriculture, more plant based diets.

By your logic the entire human race should have died out at some point over the prior circa 2 million 995 thousand years when food was very much free. And in some nations still is for the poorest and heavily subsidised for the rest.

@@kylewilliams9907 Nothing to do with anything claimed by anyone, it is ratified in international law, it was voted on by all nations ergo for you to claim people have no right to food is not correct according to international law no matter how much that buggers up your personal opinion to the contrary. Now it is perfectly correct of you to state food is not free in the modern context, but under international law governments have a legal obligation to ensure their citizens are fed, whether those citizens can afford that or not.
