This works great but one small added step really helps make it easier. Before pushing the pit out with the straw from the top or stem side go on the bottom and push the straw in until it hits the bottom of the pit. Then when you push the pit through from the top stem side the pit will be pushed out much easier! My wife stumbled upon this method on her own.
Post a vid cuz it seems like you are doing twice the work, going from top then stopping then going in from the bottom and then finally come back to the top to push out the bottom.
A chopstick works great, too if you have one. (Right size, and stiffer than a straw.) Also, before pitting it, place the cherry on top of a soda bottle (preferably glass) with the stem pointing into the bottle. It helps stabilize the cherry and gives you something solid to push against. Also, it's tidier, since you collect the pit, and most of the loose juice, into the bottle.
Thanks, this was very helpful. I found a small tube in my "parts box" that did the push job, and found to push it into the cherry from the bottom end (there's actually a little dot to show exactly were) and push the pit/stone out from the top which is softer and weak. I held the cherry (top down) onto a plate to give a firm surface. This worked perfectly for me, so it may be a case of take and try these ideas and see which ones work for you. :)
Like it. Just need to find something small enough and similar to your tool since I have a different kind of cherries. Wound up subscribing, because you did it nice and clean. No mess! I like that, so I'm wondering what else you have. Wish you would talk though. So many vids just have music. Seems like no one wants to talk anymore. Oh well....music is "in" right now. Thanks! Great vid! Very professionally done.
This method worked impressively. I couldn't find a hard plastic straw, so I used a metal one. My results weren't quite as smooth as his, maybe because I haven't done it very long or maybe because my straw was more smooth at the ends, not sure. But it saved me a lot of time regardless.
Ben Pitcher cherry pits are one of the most common causes for appendicitis. Please don’t swallow the pits! Keep a container with you to spit the pits out in :)
Take that straw and cut the end at a sharp angle, put the straw in your mouth and proceed to plunging the cherries and blowing out the pits. After a few you’ll literally become a cherry pitting warrior.

What are you saying??? To just push the straw through the bottom not the top?
@@karenmcboogerballs3434lmao for real - why did he write it so confusingly 😭

Soda bottles don't work for the smaller cherries like Tartan cherries or Montmorency cherries.
@@Dragonheat13 Well do it with bigger cherries🤣

Thanks for the tip, next time don't waste so much on the wrong ways. Had to ff half the video for the actual info. -_-
Kartos that's awful.. I remember one time I watched a one minute pornhub video and I had to skip 30 seconds in just to get to the good stuff.
Nuclear Opinion 😆 So funny, the days of having the patience of a Saint are over. Can’t handle a one minute and 54 second video....God help us
