Nice to see Baha and Babe. They stayed at our place in South Lake Tahoe in 22 and I took them to Reno for a flight to a wedding. Now they live here, the most beautiful place in the world.

I remember them from my childhood and that was a long time ago. I'm 75 now. Glad you didn't get hurt when you fell. Will admit, watching you get up on that slick service was a bit comical. Hula hooping trail magic is the weirdest thing I've seen yet on any thru-hiker video.

RR , Have you treated your outerwear and tent with Permethrin ?? And pick up some deet repellant for your exposed areas ... just store it in a zip lock so you don't get problems on your gear .... Mosquitoes are terrible here in mid-country also but the biting flies are aweful ...
When I went to Alaska and camped, I had to spray the outside of my clothes with 40% Deep Woods OFF to keep the mosquitos away. I sprayed it on my hands and wiped on my exposed shin. Those mosquitos would bang their head on the car glass or tent until I open a window or tent and let them out. [ mosquitos are the Alaska state bird]

That scrape from the refrozen snow didn't look too bad, no blood I could see. I hope it healed quickly, some of those big scrapes can get infected pretty easily because of their size.

Been my experience with mosquitos in mountains is camping in the trees is much worse than in the open. Didn’t you get some repellent? I assume you use your neckerchief and pull it up so only your eyes are exposed? Pants and hoodie too until you get moving.
When did you start and finish the AT in 2022? I was March 10-Aug 21.
