I saw King Crimson open for Tool two days in a row in Seattle back in ~2001 (Lateralus tour) and it was 10000000000000000000000% worth it. Different setlist between the two nights, I highly recommend you try it once if the opportunity comes your way.
Here at the SoFi stadium tickets start at $200 with fees included for the 2day ticket. The seats are far away but for a Metallica concert that’s not a bad price at all
compared on their hardwired or later called Dream No More Experience M&G Tickets the new ones are joke. back 2017-2019 it cost around 2200 €/$ and you got all 4 members m&g talk so many minutes and got many signatures plus the signed setlist at for the show (only james signed one item + the setlist) plus the extra thing. and it was limited to 12 people for each show so more time to talk with the band. james will not do the m&g anymore for 99.99%
i suspect that they’ll probably drop the prices down at some point. i’m 30% sure since they did that on their 40th shows. there were some extra activities all around the Bay Area (SF) and the cost was $1800. they even remove the price and made it free or certain stuff (some other activities had to be paid but they were like $40-80 if you wanted to pay that) i honestly bought the NEM package since i really don’t care about who i meet even if James is my hero, but at least i can talk to Kirk, Rob or Lars. since there’s a ton of backlash around the prices, they “might” lower the price for the people who already bought the EE (Enhanced Experience) tickets, but i might be wrong as well. overall, i’m pretty excited to see them. at least they’re not charging over 25k for a seat in the nosebleeds (like Taylor Swift tickets)
Bought the Unforgiven Experience back in 2018. Goodiebag, own entrance with no line. Guaranteed front row and early entry. Wasnt this expensive back then.
When you spend 30 bucks to see Brand of Sacrifice in a tiny bar in middle-of-no-where VA and chat with Kyle at the mech table with no one else in the line, it really recontextualizes the idea of spending several grand on a show
I absolutely love music, but there is no band I can think of that I would be willing to spend $7,000 for a concert package…. Even $3,000 or so for some of the lower packages. That is absolutely wild, but if you have that sort of disposable income and love this band, then go for it.
I long for the days when you could line up outside the venue and meet the band as they unloaded, I met Rick Nielsen at the Riviera just walking in the lobby before a show and chatted with him. The Police at the park west their van parked out front or was it a station wagon all well no such thing as meet and greets for pay.
First time I went to download back in 2019, I was standing behind this group of people and about every 15 minutes this guy from the group walked off to get more beers. I went he walked off to get them it felt like he only got back to his friends 2 minutes from the last lot of beers. It was a band on the main stage so they were playing for like 45 minutes I guess like possibly Skindred or Trivium but I do not think it was them because I was closer to the stage for them
When I have the chance to see a band like Rammstein two or three nights in a row I’ll always take it. That will still run me way under 7K. The cost of that package is insane.
Where do I need to go to buy moth into the flame tickets because I have look on the website I clicked on it and I can’t find it anywhere on tickets master
It's their art and their show. But I don't think any show is worth that kind of money, especially when you're past your prime as an artist. 2 days ago I went to see Zeal & Ardor (+ two supporting acts) - it was a magnificent show by a band that put out one of the best metal albums of 2022 and I paid the equivalent of $25 for the ticket. Just to put things in perspective.
Even if you break the $7k package down to the total of 15 people, thats still $485 a person for 1 show, i still wouldnt do that and personally still dont think its a good value. But to each their own
i think the pricing could be just so that they dont have like 200 people going to meet the band and have all the special stuff. it sets the bar pretty high bu then again they could have a number limit on how many people can buy it. i dunno.
I know a girl who payed $15000 to sit front row at an Enrique Iglesias concert at MSG. she was happy paying it but everyone was in shock, including myself.
Interesting to see who would buy these i wonder, rather than going on holiday to Dubai or the Seychelles for the same price? Even if you were a mega fan.!
The people inside that pre-show party will spend the entire time trying to prove they're real fans by spouting the most boring and basic facts about the band. Omg dude, did you realize Metallica started in LA?!! Their first two albums were initially released on Megaforce records!!! Do you know how they got the band name??!!... It's like having a conversation with a Metallica biography book.
About the beverages: At least in Scandinavia, you are pretty much expected to state how much alcohol someone is entitled to when they take part in events like these xD Seeing as some of the tour will take place in Europe, perhaps that explains it? lmao
high ticket prices? taylor swift: hold my brewery This actually is great for local bands at local bars and venues where you pay a tiny cover and the drinks are the price they always are. at some point the price isnt worth it, BUT as long as someone is willing to pay, i cannot fault those who go after it.
Bro the While She Sleeps concert at Alexandra Palace is only 40 pounds and will be their maddest concert ever, why the fuck would I wanna spend 400 pounds for a Metallica concert
Nik you're looking at the VIP special packages. I only spent 89 dollars for a single ticket for the LA show. 89 dollars to see metallica, pantera, five finger death punch, mammoth, etc for two days is a good deal.
Yep. People aren't paying attention to regular priced tickets which are $79-$250. vs packages. These packages are designed for you and your Metallica friends to all chip in.
@Tallyca Hamuhlhetru agreed. The most I payed was 750 for a meet and greet for slipknot at knotfest LA 2021. But even then that was expensive. These metallica vip tickets prices are so damn high. I rather use that money on a down payment on a car or keep in my savings for a house. Just get regular tickets or maybe just regular general admission if the price is right
@@TYLERtheMAGGOT1 They're definitely not the $20 general admission tickets of old. Those days are long gone. I'd never pay for any package or towards any meet-n-greet, but more power to those that have that kind of money to throw around. Lol
@Tallyca Hamuhlhetru yeah I agree. The cheapest I paid was 28 and that was for a dying fetus/Chelsea grin show in San Diego and another Chelsea grin show in Pomona. But most regular tickets I pay for would go around 48-90. It's insane
I understand why concert VIPs exist and why bands do them but in my honest opinion, I don't think you should EVER have to pay to meet someone. Again, I get it if you're very popular especially when you potentially can't go anywhere without getting swarmed by fans. But to me personally, it ain't worth it to pay to meet someone for a 30 secs or less. I've met many band members at a show after their set and it's ten times more worth it than even paying for a $100 VIP thing. i.e: I met Matt Griener of ABR after they played their set since he chats with fans after every show they play and those times I've interacted with him much more memorable and valuable. Not really surprised at all about these prices cause it's Metallica. But to a diehard, it may seem very worth it. Honestly, I'd rather pay for one of these packages than a regular Blink-182 ticket (which are selling for $1000 btw cause Ticketmaster).
Spot on sir.. My name is Karen from Santa Ana CA and I've been a die hard fan of forty years and even saw them when they first started headlining clubs here in CA when Raven opened for them at the Reseda country club in the San Fernando valley in 1982. But 7000 for even two shows is just too much. Es in theses inflationary times when 7000 can be a down payment for a mid range house or half that for a used car within reason. And for those people who charge that the band had nothing to this pricing who authorized the meet and greet your friendly neighborhood milkman or ice cream truck driver LoL. I hardly doubt some people from ticketmaster wrestled all the band members to the ground and told them look you're going to do a meet and greet whether you like it or not. Even though I'm not a fan of hers Taylor Swift at least did the right thing by fighting ticketmaster against what they were charging. I hope anyone reading this comment understands my point. Even if they don't ah shucks there goes your next three months living expenses

I literally paid like $100 to see them at lolapalooza this year, and got to see Lorna shore too
The 3 drink limit is probably there so people don't get wasted and break stuff or cause fights
The seats are far away but for a Metallica concert that’s not a bad price at all
How much was the top packages with meet n greets in 2019?
would never spend that much money on my favorite band but i won't judge people that do, i hope they are happy with what they get
I would love the private room so you don’t have people coming up to you asking what your favorite Metallica song is
compared on their hardwired or later called Dream No More Experience M&G Tickets the new ones are joke. back 2017-2019 it cost around 2200 €/$ and you got all 4 members m&g talk so many minutes and got many signatures plus the signed setlist at for the show (only james signed one item + the setlist) plus the extra thing. and it was limited to 12 people for each show so more time to talk with the band. james will not do the m&g anymore for 99.99%
i suspect that they’ll probably drop the prices down at some point. i’m 30% sure since they did that on their 40th shows. there were some extra activities all around the Bay Area (SF) and the cost was $1800. they even remove the price and made it free or certain stuff (some other activities had to be paid but they were like $40-80 if you wanted to pay that)
i honestly bought the NEM package since i really don’t care about who i meet even if James is my hero, but at least i can talk to Kirk, Rob or Lars.
since there’s a ton of backlash around the prices, they “might” lower the price for the people who already bought the EE (Enhanced Experience) tickets, but i might be wrong as well.
overall, i’m pretty excited to see them. at least they’re not charging over 25k for a seat in the nosebleeds (like Taylor Swift tickets)
I also think prices will be coming down closer to the August Montreal shows..I’m definitively not buying early
Bought the Unforgiven Experience back in 2018. Goodiebag, own entrance with no line. Guaranteed front row and early entry. Wasnt this expensive back then.
I got vip early entry floor for 800 Canadian for both nights
When you spend 30 bucks to see Brand of Sacrifice in a tiny bar in middle-of-no-where VA and chat with Kyle at the mech table with no one else in the line, it really recontextualizes the idea of spending several grand on a show
step one: buy platform ticket
Step two: find 14 friends
I absolutely love music, but there is no band I can think of that I would be willing to spend $7,000 for a concert package…. Even $3,000 or so for some of the lower packages. That is absolutely wild, but if you have that sort of disposable income and love this band, then go for it.
"Where's your car?"
"I sold it"
"What for?"
"Metallica is playing in _____"
"But that's your only car"
"Oh"
I also think the sets are different each night
Yes they promised both sets will be completely different. But gotta think a few songs will be in both
I long for the days when you could line up outside the venue and meet the band as they unloaded, I met Rick Nielsen at the Riviera just walking in the lobby before a show and chatted with him.
Your nickname checks out
Ain't no way bruh
Quite lucky I got my download ticket before these were announced 😂
same here 😂 even with airfare to the UK from new york, the price was absolutely worth it.
Where do I need to go to buy moth into the flame tickets because I have look on the website I clicked on it and I can’t find it anywhere on tickets master
I bought 2 day passes for $150+45 in service charges.. Mid level seats.
Like just "LIVING" AIN'T expensive ALREADY.........🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
It's their art and their show. But I don't think any show is worth that kind of money, especially when you're past your prime as an artist. 2 days ago I went to see Zeal & Ardor (+ two supporting acts) - it was a magnificent show by a band that put out one of the best metal albums of 2022 and I paid the equivalent of $25 for the ticket. Just to put things in perspective.
I saw three days grace 2 weeks ago for $75 floor tix 😄
Even if you break the $7k package down to the total of 15 people, thats still $485 a person for 1 show, i still wouldnt do that and personally still dont think its a good value. But to each their own
i think the pricing could be just so that they dont have like 200 people going to meet the band and have all the special stuff. it sets the bar pretty high bu then again they could have a number limit on how many people can buy it. i dunno.
I know a girl who payed $15000 to sit front row at an Enrique Iglesias concert at MSG. she was happy paying it but everyone was in shock, including myself.
I think when I saw A7X they had vip for £90 extra I think and you got to sit on stage and meet the band after the show
I don’t go to shows anymore. $82.00 dollars for a Motionless In White ticket in my area.
Those prices probably were made by Lars, lol.
The 1st time I saw Metallica it cost me £11 concert ticket and £10 coach, at the old Wembley arena, warrior soul supported.
Remember when cobain was shocked that Madonna was charging 75 for tickets 💀
Dear Lord that's insane
id pay 20000$ to replace Lars with a potato glued to a laptop (normally i would pick on the ''bass player''but im making a well justified exception)
7k. Sheeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh👀
Hold on. They did not specify where the private platform is. It might as well be all the way in the back or outside the venue.
Outside the venue lmao
Interesting to see who would buy these i wonder, rather than going on holiday to Dubai or the Seychelles for the same price? Even if you were a mega fan.!
Glad I have Spotify.
i bought vip seats for the 2017 tour. the complimentary beverages are alcoholic
The 3 beers are so you can hopefully forget the astronomical amount of money that you just spent, lmao
im confused…i got my 2 day ticket for LA for $138
Saw Lamb of God recently and to go backstage and see John Campbell was 2500. You get a bass but not much cheaper.
About the beverages: At least in Scandinavia, you are pretty much expected to state how much alcohol someone is entitled to when they take part in events like these xD Seeing as some of the tour will take place in Europe, perhaps that explains it? lmao
3 beverages? Looks like I'm pregaming
I saw them in Reseda CA, for $10.00 for the Master Of Puppets album. Ha Ha!
high ticket prices?
taylor swift: hold my brewery
This actually is great for local bands at local bars and venues where you pay a tiny cover and the drinks are the price they always are. at some point the price isnt worth it, BUT as long as someone is willing to pay, i cannot fault those who go after it.
my first concert was actually metallica
@1:55 Why do they have to be specific? = Legalities. Plain and simple.
Sorry I paid $30 in the 90s to see Metallica and guns and roses. Front row mosh pit
It’s now almost 2023
So the platform is 9800 now for their current tour 😂
Bro the While She Sleeps concert at Alexandra Palace is only 40 pounds and will be their maddest concert ever, why the fuck would I wanna spend 400 pounds for a Metallica concert
I got 2x GA floor tickets for 200$ each
I don’t want to be forced to see two shows lol
James doesnt do Meet and Greets anymore at all as far as I know. He hasnt been in them forever.
''lux eh-terr-tanyah''
It's insane
They'd have to pay me to go see them
I understand why concert VIPs exist and why bands do them but in my honest opinion, I don't think you should EVER have to pay to meet someone.
7k is 49k in my currency. I love Metallica bt if I'm paying that much I wanna jam with the boys and get all the box sets one time.
This is WILD.
