Well, hello and thank you for sharing with us 👋👍😀 You are a natural, for sure👍 Easy to watch, very interesting and your love for all the BEST of my favorite blues, greens, purples and in between, grabbed my heart! Can't wait to see your next video❣️ Hope you are having a lovely time on your vacation!!
Thank you so much 💕 We are just enjoying the last few days of our vacation at home. The trip was amazing with lots of knitting, so the next episode will be soon 🌞
Hi Nancy! Great job podcasting first time! A real natural, funny too! Love your knits, wips and planned knits! Keep it up and don't worry about looking at camera, at least your still facing us all! 😉 Have a great vaca and knit those 8 travel hours away! 😀
Thanks Rosemary! It's very kind of you to comment. Today was our travel day and I did indeed knit for 8 hours. It was bliss. I will be showing off my progress when I get back in another podcast 😄
Nancy, I really enjoyed your podcast. I appreciate the honesty about women of a certain age and issues with temperature. I find myself trying to avoid patterns for worsted and heavier yarns. You do not talk too fast, in my opinion. I am looking forward to more episodes.
@@knitsiphappy It is a balancing act. I find I still use light weight yarn for winter but different animal fiber blends and I knit denser fabric to keep me warm.
Fabulous fun. Thank you. Knit sip and happy suits me. I’m in Australia so winter knitting here. As for the bright hand spun skein it’s stunning. It needs to shine in a wrap for winter. Or, as I like you get hot, as a colour work pattern in a sleeveless vest/jacket. Those colours just pop. Have a great day. Cheers 🍷
OMG…..Loved this podcast! Agreed, you are a natural. Tomorrow, I’ll be binge watching up to the current episode. Thank you for deciding to podcast! 😊 🧶
Thank you so much. Finaly I found a podcast I can relate to. Same figure, same yarn preference and same coulour palette. Although I am Norwegian I have no problem understanding what you are saying. I love what you have shown us . Please, please continue with your podcast. Can't wait 😄
Yikes!!! It's almost 2 years since I started coming and talking to my camera 🤓 I love coming and having a yarnie chat 💕 Thanks for spending some time with me
I watch a lot of knitting podcasts. I especially enjoyed yours because you move things along and don’t belabor a point. I am not a sock knitter, but I enjoyed seeing your socks and maybe I’ll get inspired to try. It’s those double pointed needles going in every which direction that have me intimidated. It is a very nice podcast. Well done.
Thanks so much Tracey❣️ We had a wonderful trip and back to work and reality today. I did manage to record another episode yesterday, so hopefully it will be uploaded tomorrow or Saturday 🤞
Had my glass of white wine in hand when the recommendation came up for your podcast. Loved it! I have a friend in Moncton and have been there in the distant past. Greetings from Greece!
That seems like it was meant to be. Thanks for watching Margaret 🥰 Isn't it a small world, being able to make connections and have things in common with people on the other side of the world!
Finally got a chance to watch your first episode and it was great! Love the format and your sense of humour. Hearing you talk about all the places that I know, and love, makes me homesick - but please keep sharing!!
Nancy, I truly enjoyed watching your video. The pace was spot on for me and your projects are beautiful. I look forward to watching the next one when you return from your vacation.
I've found you, thanks to "the knitty stew".what a delight. I look forward to many hours of enjoyment as I catch up on your older podcasts. Cheers from Toronto🩷
Thanks so much Alison 💖 I have been out of town all day today enjoying a Family Day visit with our daughter. I haven't watched Leanne's latest episode, but hope to later tonight 🥰
Love your motto. I stumbled upon your podcast and thoroughly enjoyed it. I live in EC where the need for full on sweaters is minimal and I loved seeing your garden gate and your dream knitting ideas modifying the sleeves. Hope you have a wonderful vacation.
Great first podcast. Maybe you can make your blanket undulate, work the next few columns working to match the first column then repeat. Or work over a few columns to get back to the first column row counts and then work the rest of the columns with the original row counts. Ripping out so much would be so incredibly discouraging to me.
Jana of Finnish Knitting Stories mentioned your podcast and I try to follow Canadian podcasters as I live in Ontario. I enjoyed your knitting projects. The Summer Flirt Cardigan is beautiful.
Welcome Heather❣️ I'm a big fan of Jana and was absolutely amazed to hear her say such nice things about me 🥰 Where are you in Ontario? I spent my teens in Kitchener. My Summer Flirt Cardigan has gone in the naughty corner. It has really stretched out and needs some major surgery 😪
Oh Nancy! I am late but I still have to stay this was a wonderful refreshing podcast episode 😍 I am sitting on my porch in the middle of Germany sipping on a glass of white dry wine from Portugal and will just keep on with your next episode.
I don't usually comment on podcasts unless something really strikes me about it. Yours did. You're a natural-I think, at this podcasting!! Fun and very informative show, and wow, what a knitter! Loved looking at all your WIPs and FOs, your colors are very much right up my alley. I certainly hope you'll continue to do more podcasts, I've already subscribed and have notifications on-so please do!!
Hi Nancy. Loved your podcast, Great content. So good to see another Canadian knitting podcast. Looking forward to your next episode. Betty from Ontario.
Hello doing a wonderful job. I’m watching from Chandler, Arizona, USA. Just love the “Wine Helps Everything” comment, so true. Great finished projects. I too love the Edie Tee, have 3 that I wear all time and have yarn for 3 more. Look forward to seeing more episodes.
Fantastic first podcast, Nancy! You are a natural….please keep going. Thank you for all the detailed shows notes and inserting pictures too! Knitting, watching knitting podcasts and drinking wine is a perfect combination!
Hi Nancy from the UK. Loving your projects and I too love knitting socks. Congratulations on your first Podcast I thoroughly enjoyed it. Have a wonderful day. Hugs xxx
Thanks so much Emma! We are still in gorgeous high 20s and sunny, but it's August and the days are already getting shorter...summer goes so fast! I'm getting ready to record #3 this morning 😃
Congratulations on Episode 1. Greetings from an avid sock knitter in California. Hope you had an enjoyable vacation and we get to see you again soon. Salam wa sa’aadah
Hello Linda...it's nice to meet you! We had a great time away and now enjoying a bit of a staycation with lots of knitting time 🧦 I'll be back to show off lots of projects
Just heard of your podcast from Little Big Knits. Yes, keep on podcasting! I see there are a few more episodes, but I wanted to start from #1. You are great! Terry from near Kamloops BC
Thank you so much for a lovely first episode - I love it and I will becoming back ❤️ I need to see the other 3 episodes right now - love from Denmark🇩🇰
Great podcast--I am just starting at the beginning as I found you today (it is now March 2023) by way of the "I Am Kylie Gee" podcast here on YouTtube. I am also partial to the knits and vines, and am new to spinning (drop spindle) so your handspun is also inspiring (in addition to you having multiple e-spinners...that is my dream, well having one at least). Time to binge watch while I knit and sip. Cheers!
Lovely to have you and thanks for saying hello❣️❣️ I love Kylie's podcast...she's got such a fun vibe. Spinning is such a deep rabbit hole, but completely joyous, once you get past the frustration quotient 🤓🤣
HI,,,Nancy,,,,Lovely to meet you!!!! I have your 3 new🏕 patterns!,!!SEND WORKING ON BY THE SHORE,,,,, LOVE KNITTING podcasts,,too,,,, Your a natural!!!!love the chat,,,,Your finishes,,,!!! Have good vacation,,,,, Elaine in ontario,,,🏘🏘🏕🏕
Nice to meet you Nancy! Loved seeing your Finished garments, and also hear about your dream knitting to come. Of course we all have projects that go haywire at times….keeps us humble, right? I think your first podcast was WONDERFUL, and look forward to the next. Hope you and your husband have a great vacation together! Just maybe you’ll find a cleverly hidden yarn shop to pick up a yarn Souvenir‼️🧶 Enjoy…..see you next time 😊
Hi Nancy! I am familiar with your designs but did not know you had started a podcast until I watched Selma this morning. So I’m starting from the beginning and I’m really enjoying all your beautiful garments and your whit.😊
Wonderful podcast. You would never know it was your 1st episode. I hope to see more. I am happily knitting at a cottage in the Kawartha Lakes! Enjoy your trip.
Thanks Patti❣️ We just got home and it was brilliant...ate too much, drank too much, but thankfully we also walked loads to balance it off 😄 What are you knitting at the cottage?
Excellent first podcast! Your knits are wonderful! Edie, gardengate, summer flirt, the new colourwork, all very beautiful and inspiring! Love your handspun as well, and look forward to seeing more of your creations Hope you and your husband have a wonderful trip away! Come back and tell us all about it!
You knit so beautifully! The sheep bag behind you is hypnotising me…I need one…🐏. You know the blue yarn that you found difficult to hold together? Have you thought of plying it together first? Hope you enjoy your holiday, it sounds like a lovey destination.
Thanks 😊 Me too!!! I had to start a channel to host the tutorials for my sock patterns, so I figured why not give it a try. I will be back with lots of vacation knitting 🌞
Nice presentation for first time. Yes, try on things when you wonder. Going back 8” beats thinking and delaying and ripping back even more. Lace weight held double? Probably want to try wood needles. Good luck with everything.
Thanks Tammy and I agree with all of that 😁 The lace weight is still sitting in my desk staring at me and the Sunshine Coast hasn't come out of my bag. I didn't have time to try it on before we went on vacation.
Hello all the way from New Zealand. I really enjoyed your first podcast. Firstly, thank you for making such an effort to look at the camera, I really appreciate when podcasters do that. Secondly, I'm in the NZ navy and had to laugh when you said your husband probably didn't do many cultural activities when last in Old Quebec. I see some things are true all round the world! I enjoyed your inserted footage of talking about your FOs. I'm super impressed at inserting footage and photos for your very first podcast. I look forward to watching more from you!
Definitely looking forward to seeing more of your knitting. Loved the Misneach bag.. I’ve just had a holiday on the Isle of Harris, where the tweed was spun.
You should totally do this again- you did a great job!!! I laughed when you showed your Misneach bag as I’m desperately trying to control myself and not buy one🤣.
Thanks 😊 I was so happy to have seen them in person at Knit City. I will not dissuade you...it's a beautiful addition to my bag collection. And I will be back to show off all my vacation knitting 🌞
I absolutely adore you. Kept my attention not boring love the way you talk loved crafting and watching you.
Thata so kind of you to say Monica 🥰 Thank you!!!
Go ahead and look at the screen and not the camera- we are all just gaga over all your projects and fiber! Hope to see you again
You're so sweet! There should be another episode up later today 🤞

@@knitsiphappy It is a balancing act. I find I still use light weight yarn for winter but different animal fiber blends and I knit denser fabric to keep me warm.
No, I'm not going to slow you down - love it 😊
It's a great pace for me
Phew...I'm glad! Thanks 😊
I love your blanket and I love that it is uneven, it’s a blanket not a sweater so leave it. It’s lovely that it’s not all the same.
Thanks Meryle!!! Agreed 👍 It will have its own personality 😄

Thanks Helen! Oh that sounds amazing. Love the tweed!!!
Well done. More please.
