Today wrestling looks like a bunch of freaks wearing Halloween costumes in choreographed matches. Even the promos are 100% scripted. Today wrestlers talk, talk, talk...and they don't say ANYTHING. Ring psychology doesn't even exist. There is no heat and not a even any true heels. Professional wrestling was NEVER 100% real but in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and early 90s it definitely looked real. Now it just looks incredibly silly. In the PC world we live in I guess this is to be expected.
In the 80`s everything stopped when Piper, Sheik or Savage cut a promo...brilliant and hilarious entertainment...Gene should have got an Emmy for keeping it together when those guys were lit...he was the GOAT.
