There's a lot of traffic jam though. But no-one tries to break the rules by taking over or give the loudest honking. Everyone patiently waits for their turn
They are educated and strictly follow their cultural heritage of mutual respect and compassion. The people of Delhi, Haryana, and Kolkata should learn more about traffic rules and cultural ethics.
Aee bhai following traffic rules is good but why are you not using your mind here . How can you compare Delhi or mumbai with Aizawl . Comparison should be b/w two similar things . Density of delhi and Aizawl is totally different .you should not bluntly come to the conclusion . Its just not about people , its about city structure , desgin , population and several others factors which cause traffic .
@@anupamy22 you do have a good point. However, the original point still remains that traffic etiquette CAN be improved upon. Even at the current level of infrastructure and the pressure on it. Also, while larger cities have higher traffic densities, they also have a much more favourable topography that enables easier construction of road and overall greater freedom in road design when comparing to Aizawl. That is what you'd expect and that is what you see as well. Wider roads, straighter roads on majorly flat lands to enable better traffic flow.
@@anupamy22 Density has nothing to do with following traffic rules, it's about mindset. It's you who is bluntly coming to conclusion. It is about people. Could you not see in the video how narrow the roads are, there aren't even road dividers and some part of the roads are at times covered with parked vehicles, still traffic is moving in both directions without any mess, not even honking. It's not even 1/6th of some the roads of major cities. If the vehicle density is more in bigger cities the roads are also much much wider. I live in bangalore, there are kms of road with 3+3 or 4+4 lanes, plus service roads on both sides(each of which have the width of a main road in Aizawl), but people don't give a shit about rules, they will drive dangerously and there will be endless honking, overtaking, taking wrong sides etc 24 hrs , even when there are less vehicles. Even inside residential areas or tech parks where the vehicle density is very less people drive like that and they honk all the time. It's just a bad excuse.
Being brought up in Mizoram, i was amazed at first at how much other people were amazed by this. For us, these manners are embedded in our mind since forever
@Daisuke Naga if some one is saying that he is staying, just accept it, why can't u accept others.... This is the reason of selfishness, maybe ur neighbor says to u, i have an aeroplane. Just admit it.. But whether u belief it or not, its up to u... This is how we mizos belief

I have lived there my whole childhood to adolescence and I can vouch for this that they have THE BEST ROADS AND TRAFFIC RULES ABIDING people in whole of India. I personally love that place, the people , the weather, the cleanliness they have, the humble people. Love them.
Steep and narrow roads also means skilled drivers. Moving a 4 wheel vehicle forward after a brief pause on a steep road requires skill with the pedals/footwork. Otherwise if the engine dies you'd have to go backwards and bump into the vehicle behind you. Our fellow countrymen from metropolitan cities would have a hard time navigating the streets of Mizoram and Meghalaya. 😁
Wow!...I didn't know this was possible in India. Thank you to the people of Aizawl, Mizoram for showing us the way.. Would love to visit the city ,not just for its beauty but also to witness such exceptional level of patience and respect for traffic rules

I’ve been to Mizoram (Aizawl) once and it was the best experience i ever had visiting another state….Specially traffic rules and the Mizo peoples are really helpful, kind
The sense of mutual respect and discipline is outstanding and applaudable here👏.
And it's just not about following traffic rules rather a sensible civic society is in existence, 👍 Mizoram you have won my heart ❤️
A Brutally honest advice - Don't allow many outsiders. It won't take much time to spoil this nice culture. All the best.! 😅
Especially bangladeshi immigrants in whole northeast india
Shillong is spoiled in many ways because of outsiders.
Come in Mizoram;Aizawl, you will follow our ways of traffic rules ; i promise, because all the other in front of you and behind you will follow traffic rules, you will be the only one who will be left out who did'nt follow traffic rules, because we follow our traffic rules for our safty and for the others.
We are all in a hurry to reach our destination
Same happened in Uttarakhand locals follow traffic rules but you can see when you visit there the people from HR ,DL,UP have ruined the city total violence on roads and crime rate have gone up ,rape cases have increased by 500percent ....it's too hard for locals that's why they are asking for Bhu kanoon....and biggest concern are Bangladeshi Rohingyas...
Yeah bound to happen. Need to fight for it. Don't show weakness and be strict and serious about it, especially against Bangladeshis, or else ruined.
Mizoram people have always cultivated the self discipline even in some markets there are no shopkeepers but Trust. Likewise in the street also they have mutual understanding.
They look like typical Asian, and thus have typical Asian 😅 decipline. Not like stupid rest of the India. But the funniest thing is they still have high no. Accidents than most non metro cities of India.
"MUTUAL RESPECT" is the basic concept that we all need 2 know .
Thanks to MIZORAM
Lots of ....
Love n respect from MANIPUR
Thagatchari
Hope this traffic sense spreads to other states of India too.
Mizoram My favorite state in India ❣️❣️❣️❣️ my brother and sister love you all from Assam 👍🏻
Imagine if Mizoram had 4 or 6 lane.. Their discipline will surely surprised the world. Love from Shillong.
NO MATTER WHAT?
FOR ME MIZORAM WILL ALWAYS REMAIN THE BEST.✌
Since my childhood days I have been with the Mizo friends. I can say blindly that MIZO are so FAITHFUL, HELPFUL, UNITED, KIND, DISCIPLINED AND GOD LOVING PEOPLE.
"Self Discipline Means Establishing an Authority Over One's Own Habits, Routines, And Priorities."
Means to get rid of traffic, 4/6/8 lane roads not require....What require is bit understanding , discipline, civic sense....I can't believe this can happen in India....OMG! That's like a pleasant shock for me...No divider and still no traffic jam ....no noise...I would love to visit this city soon...Appreciate All these people of Mizoram...
There's a lot of traffic jam though. But no-one tries to break the rules by taking over or give the loudest honking. Everyone patiently waits for their turn
hahah these 2 lanes won't work in areas like delhi and mumbai.. hope you know this.
They are educated and strictly follow their cultural heritage of mutual respect and compassion. The people of Delhi, Haryana, and Kolkata should learn more about traffic rules and cultural ethics.
Everywhere dude, everywhere.
You are right bro.having civic sense and discipline doesn't depend upon density.its the people mindset that makes us the difference
Hi Mizoram, really proud on you folks..this should be advertised how the civic you are, love from Bihar.
Being brought up in Mizoram, i was amazed at first at how much other people were amazed by this. For us, these manners are embedded in our mind since forever
I'm currently in mizoram. And the traffic discipline is on another level.
@Daisuke Naga I'm not bro they really are good at following traffic rules.
@Daisuke Naga I'm bro I'm staying
@Daisuke Naga if some one is saying that he is staying, just accept it, why can't u accept others.... This is the reason of selfishness, maybe ur neighbor says to u, i have an aeroplane. Just admit it.. But whether u belief it or not, its up to u... This is how we mizos belief

"Better late than never. "
Good example set by the people of Mizoram.
As a person who has only visited the Middle East, till date I used to think they had the best traffic rules, but this has changed my outlook. Kudos to the people of Aizawl 🙌🙌
4:00 just because we want to get to someplace early, doesnt mean that we should not care abbout others' safety at all ..WELL SAID

But chakmas are not mizos
Makes me want to visit Mizoram only because of this testimony. The people must be really cool, civilized and considerate. Respect.
I'm from Manipur, my brother recently went to Mizoram as part of his college trip, says it's totally different from here tho we're neighbours, much better there. Although people generally drive fast, everyone wear helmet, and no honking. Someday i wanna visit too
I have lived there my whole childhood to adolescence and I can vouch for this that they have THE BEST ROADS AND TRAFFIC RULES ABIDING people in whole of India. I personally love that place, the people , the weather, the cleanliness they have, the humble people. Love them.
Thank you 🥰
Steep and narrow roads also means skilled drivers. 😁
God bless your heart
No use just having it in mizoram. Have to copy in other states. Big problem in india is that good things in 1 state are not copied in other states
Besides the cleanliness I agree with everything. The cleanliness is slowly declining due to people littering, deforestation and etc.

People from north east never disappoint's ... They are one of the most humble, geniune and disciplined citizen of our great nation India. Its true North eastern part doesn't get as much development like the rest of the nation, still they are flourishing whether it be education, sports etc imaging if they get enough infrastructure and development opportunity what all they can achieve.

I am in Aizawl right now for my job and to be honest it's wonderful the way they follow tariff rules. Moreover "The No honking thing" is outstanding. Now I am habituated to this and when I landed on Kolkata and suddenly heard everyone was honking horn, ohhh my god... I was like what hell 😅...
Sometimes such good habits are bad to adjust in other areas also 🤫

Follow those rules in kolkata I've been there but i think nothing works there..no hurt feelings..😂
The first time I have experienced crazy traffic is Silchar city in Assam, I was in class 8 that time, i got sick at night because of the crazy noisy traffic and very smelly (good or bad smell i can't tell) even Kolkata has a smell, I thought it was just a hot weather smell😂
Living in indore city for 6yrs and I never realized it's cleanliness because Aizawl is also like that only (we always think aizawl is dirty though😅)
Bahhahaha this brings back memories of the time we first visited my uncle who lives in Delhi we were on the road driving and i remember being so nauseated because of the loud honkings on top of the burning hot weather plus seeing my uncle honking like a mad person for the first time was such an experience because he really is a calm person back here in Mizoram lmao
No wonder Jeremy Lalrinnunga got Gold
The discipline and patience!
Love, respect and admiration for all Mizo brothers and sisters from Maharashtra . ❤️🙏
To honest north easterners I have come across in Mumbai are much more cultured then other population groups. They also have great fashion sense.
@John Hero koreans are not open minded as you think.. I have 2 years of experience over there..
@John Hero and koreans follow western fashion...
What do u mean by korean fashion??
Great fashion is besides the point @Achmed with all due respect! We need not model or idolize any foreign country or culture to better ourselves, I'd say its inherent in each one of us.. only a matter of manifesting it.. Trust me, no amount of social engineering is gonna accomplish anything if one doens't tap into human inside of each of us (Here I categorically distinct it from mere literacy and education)

You are true Indians... Real peace lovers. Rest of the India has forgotten to think about other people. Aizawl ... Salute.
wow. i thought this is impossible in India but Mizoram proved me wrong. Mizoram model should be implemented in other parts of India to ease the traffic situation.
It's so hard to get a license there.
That's a good reason
It's not the model, it's the people!
It's the people's mindset.
Hence it cannot be brought to other states of India ever!!!
Truth is harsh!
Mizoram people are well mannered and helping folks. I had some Mizoram friends during college. Lovely people. Glad to see them follow traffic rules in a country like India. Love from Kerala ❤️
Good job Mizoram , all other Indian states should learn from them .

Indians can not learn basic stuff. Caning and fines are needed. Smoking was reduced hugely by making it illegal in public and fines
I have driven in Aizawl, Mizoram 1981 - 1984 via Khatla to Chaltlang and over the city I find very good to see mutual respect for each other. Not in Assam . Today, Assam turned into any other North Indian states.
