Dutch rock at its best and if not for Nirvana's cover, most of the younger generation would have missed this gem. Check out Earth and Fire for more great Dutch prog. rock.

Like you can write your own codes and build your own bombs too or I can just not give you anything but you guys got the best speaker system in the white house there is
Actually like the original better.love this on bleach but this is why more hypnotic and has a dark pycadelia sound.kurt turned into a punk rock pop version.he musta heard this a million times from his aunt.to do a cover and put a cover on an album you must love the song like fave top5 songs or it wouldnt be covered
Always thought this is much better than Nirvana's version. Jack Endino should've made them slow it down and placed reverb on it with echo vocals during the chorus.
Well to be fair to Jack and Nirvana they were working on a very short schedule with nearly no money. I don't know if you've recorded in a studio (sounds like you have musical experience) but when you have no time and no money you have to rip it and go on to the next one. Endino mixed a couple of songs for my band back around 2000. He's an ultra nice dude. We were absolute nobodies and he treated us like we were The Stones.
@@mneugent7658 I bought Bleach in 1990. The original pressing had the cost ($600) of the studio session inside the sleeve. The song order of that album is terrible. It should've been a mini LP with "Negative Creep" as the last song. "Big Cheese" wasn't on the original pressing. With that,I see what you mean, good point
@@E.C.2 I completely agree with your point about the song order. It just kind of fades away into experimentation on the back half. Negative Creep would've been a great ending song. Reminds me of how Appetite For Destruction got a little extra dark at the back half but then they ended with Rocket Queen which was a nice mix of heavy rock and a beautiful twist of Ronnie Spector. It closed out the album nicely.
@@mneugent7658 100% brother especially given they had songs like "Dive" and "Been a Son" which were unavailable to the public being on limited 7 inches. "Bleach" given Nirvana's unavailable catalog, could've been just as commercially accessible as "Nevermind."
Me and Bill Clinton as they say one president could have either the codes or the launch pad device and they were never to be either flipped over at the same time and to where we just both sat there laughing cuz he wouldn't look at it nor would I mess with the device
I was asked and I was telling about I could hear voices and get launch codes from a president and tried it and then we fired two cruise missiles don't know where they went and from then on
Completely Diabolic, I love it
Love this and Kurt's cover they both stand well on there own
Cor Van der Beek is one of the most underrated drummers of all times!
no its da ve gro uloul
One of the greatest BASS riffs ever!
This sound like that vintage electric 70's punk, it makes me bop my head like The Stooges
Now thats a guitar riff damn. Tasty
Im surprised nirvana didnt cover the section that starts at 1:30 would've sounded awesome played by them
I don't think Chad Channing could have played that drum part right.
Ted Pavlica Agreed, maybe if it was rerecorded with Dave, but Chad definitely couldn't
@@DarkPlaysThings 4 sure.
they sucked ass and Shocking Blue didn't,pretty simple.
@Dionysus he saying nirvana sucked ass
I had no idea this is where Nirvana got their version from.
one of the greatest female rock voice ever
I totally agree!
Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane is pretty good too.
@@jasonmurray4714 Lots of good female vocalist
We had a stunning lead singer and band that could play for a studio but could you imagine LIVE???
RIP Mariska Veres
Such an underrated band!
The Prodigy sample lead me down a great ride to this gem ❤️
Lil Kim also sampled Love Buzz btw
came here for the prodigy/phoenix vibes and admiration of Liam Howlett's colossal talent
why This band Is so underrated? They are Great and Talented WHY?😢
Shit happens...

Thanks for the mention
her voice reminds Grace Slick a little,
. Strong, middle to low and warm

@Soundgardener80 if only chad channing could play that good, they would've covered that part

Wow mantap
So sick and sexy with the funk and dance vibe.
@edgeashley What a stupid comment (and I love Nirvana). It's not a competion, Nirvana aparenlty respected this music a lot, covering it.
avanzado claro si mientras los beatles hacian pop suave los shocking blue hacian ROCK

Cool man, this version is better.

It was actually krist who heavily pushed for the band to do a cover of the stories I’ve heard are true
@@notapplicable328 I heard that as well. And it makes sense. Krist was the bass player and this song is all about the bass.
there is no aunt who has anything to do with this song gdm. the sh people come up with in comments my god.
Me recuerda a una canción que es cuche
Fucking awesome song.
have known this song for years, but i just notice... dis is so fukin black sabbath!
Early Black Sabbath is just prog , they sounded a lot like earth and fire too.
