The problem in this country is that citizens always held someone liable for a certain change to happen. Catriona is one of the biggest contenders or if i'm not mistaken, the best contender on Miss Universe's history, she really did set the standards too high. The iconic lava gown and lava walk will make a mark on MU's history that will change the game forever and will definitely stand the test of time.

What made Catriona Gray a very powerful Miss Universe candidate, even through watching her from the screen, is that she doesn't wish for the crown. She enjoys and gives her best for each portion she gets into. No stress, just content with whatever is given, but at the same time feeling it, giving your best to it. That's the beauty of not always being the winner in life. It humbles you. It gives you content and the confidence that even if you lose, you won't regret a thing because it has happened to you a lot in life and that you've learned to anticipate it with such genuine positivity. So she wasn't scared of not being the winner, she made every moment memorable to her, savouring it, as if it's her last, enjoying every walk, every smile, every eye contact, every answer, everything.
Plus, that passion for children, her creativity, is what added so much spice to her that no one. NO ONE can ever compare.
Actually, she wasn't trying to be Miss Universe, Miss Universe was trying to be her. She is just amazing in so so soooo many ways.

I really adore Gazini's perseverance to take home the crown for us, so much pressure has put on her shoulder. But the fact that, at some point, you just realized that something is fishy upon choosing the top ten. However, it's too much glory and pride as we see our Miss Universe 2018 thanked us, Filipinos, who have been there supporting her all through out her journey. This is our pride. This is us. Just like what she said, to be Ms.Universe is not about representing yourself. It's bringing the whole country to represent to the whole universe. And I felt the sincerity on that. I kinda know that we won’t get the crown this year. We just won last year so the judges will try to find someone from other country to give others a chance. Even if in our opinion Gazini should be the next Miss Universe, it’s very rare to win a back to back title. Wrong timing sya.

Bb. Pilipinas is not entitled to host the Miss Universe Philippines anymore. The franchise was awarded to the new venue under the Shamcey Supsup, as pageant Director.

Miss universe from Filipinos are impactful indeed, especially Cat and Pia but Cat is way more than that. I mean for Pia many have said her victory was a surprising yet Cat's was a sure win. And Cat left her legacy to the world, universe rather. Her lava gown and stage presence plus her total packages to be miss universe, was so so impactful. Also her journey to MU was much better than other candidates that year. I mean since her national competition, no one could be able to beat her and to miss universe also. For Pia I would like to say, where is a will, there is a way. That phrase is fit for her the most. Pia's journey may not as smooth as Cat's yet her attempt and soul never ever give up. That is why she is one of the iconic and remarkable MU.
